Probably pass on this Black Pudding rarely gets any rotation whereas everything sans Garwood does. Of all the members of his touring band it's sad Garwood is the one he collaborates with, I'd snap up a Lanegan/Lyenn collab completely blind.

We need a rage thread. Once an argument lasts 10 posts we just go over there and insult each other before it's finally time to kiss.

I had a habit of picking up things semi blindly that I've kind of kicked into touch this year. I try to avoid imports as a whole just because the shipping is extortionate and that is a real bummer when you drop $45 for a record that is $20 and then it comes damaged. I don't see my collection as an investment at all even though I do have some choice pieces that could command a decent price but in reality I'm too lazy to sell anything. If I was in your shoes getting a 50% damage rate and arbitrating re-ordering and refunds all for records that will sit on a shelf un-played I'd see the logic in quitting.  That being said I was between record players for a long while and stopped as a result only to miss some items that are now unreasonably priced white whales for me.

I guess if I was in your shoes I'd take a break until I've sorted out a new rig. Keep an eye on some of your big faves though because sod's law dictates as soon as you take that break your number one artist will release something pure gold you'll have to chase when you pick this hobby back up.

So far I'm with all of you on most of this.
Song is great even though I don't think it'll beat "Roads To Judah" for me because nothing so far has, thats more personal preference than criticism. The band do get a lot of unsolicited hate because the overly hyperbolic media reception of sunbather enraged the more fragile members of the black metal community who can't have their subgenre rise in popularity without feeling like they are going extinct. Artwork not really to my taste or fitting with the music but whatever. Anxious about pre-ordering after the New Bermuda/Anti debacle. I'll likely go for an instore copy just to save the heartache, not fussed about colours.
