I've never really bought much from Epitaph before, I think maybe the recent Pianos Become The Teeth album is the only one I can think of...is this bad news? Does it make less likely that these reissues would end up happening, or are Epitaph themselves a problem?

Yeah, this is pretty much it. They don't really excite me any more, but you can't really call it bad in any way either. Silver and Invisible are great songs and I'm sure a couple of others would grow on me if I felt the need to dive back in.

Just got a mysterious email tipping me off to a new RSD release to be announced soon: Anyone else going to be queuing up at 4:30am this year?

I'm feeling super burnt out on RSD this year. Our best record store is in a little market that opens all their doors at the same time, so regardless of the queue in place people halfway back are able to sprint across and cut in. Last year, being fourth in the queue, and desperate to get the Mew LP, I made a bit of a scene. Luckily the guy who runs the store knows me! That Mew LP was available on pretty much every store online for weeks afterwards, so it all felt a bit like wasted stress. There'll have to be something pretty amazing and out of the ordina- -and I'm back in the game.

Twilight Sad were the support when I first saw Mogwai back in 2011 and I have been pretty obsessed since, that'd be amazing!

I was super grouchy until I saw that it was a 13,000 capacity venue - I'd be milking that announcement for all it's worth too! Might even make the trip up myself if it doesn't sell out too quickly...

I never listen to my records, they're mainly for show hehee. I have a couple of first presses I leave out on the coffee table. My original copy of Deja Entendu has a few ring-stains by now, lol! I'm super stoked to finally have a way of keeping my records dry AND being able to show them to everyone who comes to my house xD xD xD

Getting more tempted as days go by...I accept that there's delays, and the last thing I want to do is put any pressure on D with everything that's gone on, but I don't think one of the other people helping with the label sending an email to say 'hey, sorry about the delay, here's the situation' is too much to ask when they have £50 of my money! I noticed someone asking about these LPs on TWIABP's Instagram, they said that they'd 'stopped working' with BWM over the summer, so I guess at least we can hope that their future releases on different labels actually turn up eventually... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just started doing this myself, god damn have my tastebuds been missing out over the years. Anyway, new song is pretty good! I didn't like Omni and whatever-the-last-one's-called-again as much aside from the odd track so I might wait for an EU preorder this time round. Hopefully Big Scary Monsters come through with the goods again - their Lost Loves pressing was really nice.
