I often think it does, especially if a lot of copies do get recalled and replaced. It's a bit of a paradox, but I always think it's cool those rare times when, say, another band's A-Side appears as the B-side for, say, a Bowie 7" or whatever.

I used to the music. But I no longer to the music anymore.

I had that very thought for one brief, puckering moment when I first opened the glorified envelope it arrived in.

The missing intro is a rather noticeable difference.

That sounds about right.  A lot of music sites seem to trickle the info down from VC.  Also, credit where credit is due: Lethalenforcer is relentless with new PO info, and a huge asset to the community.  If he ran a blog and updated it in real-time, I’d probably bookmark it.

Agree completely, as much as I would like to grab it the soundtrack isn't worth that much to me either.. IDK about everyone else but I also don't listen to film scores enough throughout the year to buy that many of them with these kind of prices so I try to just stick with a few favorites and grab some I see here and there at a good price. I have a feeling I can eventually grab one of the variants in the 30 range if I wait a bit. Great to see this finally get re-issued though regardless.

Listen to the score. Outside of the film, not really worth almost $50 to me. I think I only see it as being married to the picture. Rather boring sounding on its own. But hey, lots of people are gonna get it just for the art. We get it.

With that price I may have to wait.  Hopefully I don’t end up missing out.

It is not your table; literally every copy has the dropouts. And the orange will only be different from the splatter is they made a different master and cut new stampers for it which there is very little chance of having happened. It has nothing to do with the wax.
 
All that said, these issues aren't insurmountable to me. I have a VS copy and the original Mondo 2xLP reissue (with the intentional dialog) from the expanded CD so this still offers me a different presentation of the score with new music in a new order and from a legitimately unique source. Under my own personal circumstances, I'm actually quite happy to have it even if I think they could have perfected it a bit more.

No love for The Origin Of The Feces with Pete’s butthole on the cover? Seriously though, it’s one of my favorite “live” albums. I have the box set but this new BK reissue sure is tempting.

Here's hoping for October Rust. One of my faves, but I can't afford any of the ones out there right now.

My waxwork copy came in yesterday. Haven't had a chance to spin it yet, but it looks great.
 

Wait, isn't this artwork by the guy who drew all the original comics? That's hilarious.

I really hope this is either the Body Bags or In the Mouth of Madness score. Or any other score that hasn't been pressed on vinyl but those are my top two. 

I'm honestly shocked they didn't slap a wraparound sleeve on 500 orange copies and sold them for $30.

Anybody going to the LA show on 10/31 that might want to hook a fellow up with a red tour variant of this bad dad? The fellow would provide payment in advance of course. And I can vouch for him as both solid and reliable.
 
PS - Full disclosure: I am the aforementioned "fellow".

I haven't seen First Man yet but I do love stuff with astronauts, so I assume I'll get it eventually because I'm an idiot.
