I know a bunch of people said that back from numerous sources then but I really wonder how accurate it was. There were supposedly 8k each worldwide of The Crow and Lost in Translation. Both have around 3k supposedly in discogs collections. If we were really missing thousands of them then that is a really high percentage of them accounted for on discogs.  A lot of records I have maybe only have around 20% of the copies accounted for on there. But they really were impossible to find so something was definitely up.
 
 

Good news for our customers from the US and Canada. finally have set up a store over there for direct sales to you! So no more heavy postage rates but only local rates from now on and to start with a bang we are staring with a HUGE sale of all our overstock in the US.

Vintage is always good. The dyns replaced a pair of JBL 4312's, they were great speakers, but I was looking to downsize and couldn't be happier

The distribution for that RSD got fucked. If I remember correctly Warner Bros. were switching warehouses in the middle of it. The only reason I got a copy of The Crow is because it arrived two days late and I bolted to the record store when they posted they had a few copies on Facebook. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a warehouse or 2 out there with a bunch of The Crow and Lost in Translation sitting around and waiting to be found.

Maybe they’re deliberately holding yours back because they think your unfathomable tears of sadness taste so good...

I read something about Pure and Selfless being recorded live. 1000% in for vinyl issues of these.

I mean, it's funny how quickly people's conception of things change.
 
Not to defend Amoeba, but it wasn't that long ago that record stores were disappearing left and right. Truth be told, it's a minor miracle a place as large as Amoeba managed to stay open through the early 2000s when everything was going digital. As others have noted, it's not like they have small shops in low cost areas.
 
Then the vinyl boom happened, turntables are featured in every trendy Netflix series, a new VYNL vinyl subscription service pops up every other month, Urban Outfitters has a whole section of their megastores dedicated to records and everyone thinks these venerable indie shops just rake it in but the places like Amoeba and Reckless and Bullmoose didn't just pop up overnight in the middle of the vinyl boom, I'm sure they had many lean years leading up to the 2010s and the age of Record Store Days.

I wish I had known about this before I named Amoeba as a beneficiary on my life insurance. 

Somehow lucked out with a /200 and bought a copy quickly after I got the bandcamp email.  Stoked!!  One of my favorite bands of all time.

When I was a tyke, I remember the pre-order for the original Star Wars figures set. I remember thinking that they looked cheap and small, since G.I. Joes and Mego were bigger. I did end up collecting many of the original figures, but sold them a long time ago. Then when Power of the Force came out, I went crazy with those and also the dolls. At one point, I would wait in front of Kaybee toys in the mall, and when they rolled up the gates a bunch of us losers would run in and snag the new stuff off the shelves. One of the workers put a Boba doll out of reach and me and this other dude were jumping up to get it. Finally, I just climbed on the shelving and snagged it. It was comical. I ended up selling my boxes and boxes of unopened figures and dolls in one shot, thankfully. Long story short(too late), I don't collect toys anymore and hope to hell that I never do!

Justin is overwhelmed with the amount or orders. He really appreciated as as all his gigs for the foreseeable future are cancelled so it's great to have an alternative source of income this way. 

I don't disagree. But I take less issue as its ordered through JB direct so its his money vs someone else's.

His prices on some of those things are well beyond discogs copies but tax is included. Would be nice if it was subtracted for US order like some other online shops do (assuming the laws haven't changed and we aren't required to pay it). But I do like to support him so I ended up just getting the limited live cd.

That ORPHX/JK Flesh is insane.
