  1. Undeclinable Ambuscade - Their Greatest Adventures & Osker - Idle Will Kill.
  2. It has indeed has a single insert, instead of a printed innersleeve. The cover is obviously scanned and printed, so the small letters look a bit fuzzy, but it will do for my taste. I have a few OG 90's records by leggit record companies which was basically blown up cd artwork, that looksb way worse. The soundqualtiy is okay, but I have the feeling they used the cd as a master for the vinyl.
  3. I might shell out a 150 for that Husker Du/Green Day record.
  4. From some bands/labels I love to own test presses, some bands/labels I don't care. I do have a ton, due to helping out certain labels and lucky ebay finds. My favourites are: Bloc Party - Banquet (test press) - Moshi Moshi Dag Nasty - Field Day (test press) - We Bite Down By Law - All Scratched Up (test press) - Epitaph Kraut - An Adjustment To Society (test press) - Cabbage Turning Point - It's Always Darkest Before The Dawn (test press) - New Age Records V/A - State Of The Union (test press) - Dischord
  5. I noticed a few copies on clear vinyl have been sold recently. At first I thought they were never made, but now they are out there. Anyone know who was selling them? Also I noticed some sellers have the normal version for sale as red vinyl. Was there a big difference in the colors that the orange version can be mistaken for red? Since I've only seen orange vinyl. Also I've seen the Mastadon/ZZ top single for sale on clear. Did those other two also drop?
  6. Installed the first Android App, doesn't use Shazam (or similar kind of application) to "listen" to music. But you can scan the barcode or look up the record on Discogs. http://blog.jollybox.de/archives/116-release-vinyl-scrobbler
  7. Nevermind my idea and working on an app. I checked out Echoprint API en they already suggested my idea as an option to build. I did a more extensive search on google and I found at least half dozen programmers trying to build the same. Will try out a few apps and let you know what works for me.
  8. I might gives this a try, but I am afraid it will drain your battery dry.
  9. I was looking at my last.fm account and I noticed the playlist does not represent myself. Me being me, I was thinking, I want to scrobble my vinyl plays, cassettes too. Hell even de cd's I play and the Youtube video's I listen to. So I came up with the idea, to use my android phone, since it is portable and can be used also for your car stereo, something like Shazam/Soundhound, to scan every minute/30 seconds for a song. When it recognizes the song and the data is returned then a play should be scrobbled to Last.fm. This is the main idea: If current song = last scrobble song then ignore song else scrobble song. Before I start programming it and most importantly start looking for alternative api, since Shazam and Soundhound is pretty much close source stuff, I want to know if anyone is interested in this? Also is anyone busy with this already or knows an alternative which can do this?
  10. Finally, the complete set! X-1 SS Decontrol - The Kids Will Have Their Say (12", Album) 1982 X-2 F.U.'s - Kill For Christ (12") 1982 X-3 SS Decontrol - Get It Away (12") 1983 X-4 D.Y.S. - Brotherhood (12") 1983 X-5 F.U.'s - My America (12") 1983 X-6 Jerry's Kids - Is This My World? (LP, Album) 1983
  11. I was reading a bit about the opportunities and advantages of the blue laser, the same one being used for reading blu-ray disc. I think that using this laser would create an even accurate way of reading the record. Only the question is, how can you do some reprocessing of data to eliminate pops and clicks without transforming it to digital data and then back to analog information.
  12. This was posted in the collection thread somewhere mid december.
  13. Pretty sure Fat orders 500 and the plant has a little over run. It's probably like that for most pressings, but most labels just count the number that was ordered. Fat caters to the nerds and counts 'em all! I just pulled this out of my ass, so don't quote me on it! Sounds good tho...right? I can back you on this. Pressing plants often have an overrun or more unlikely an underrun, mostly between 3 up-to 10 percent. Most of the times a label has to pay for these also.
  14. Undeclinable Ambuscade - Their Greatest Adventures. One of the best punkrock records of all time (not looking at the lyrics ) only a reissue on cd by Epitaph, sadly no LP version.
  15. Conclusion: someone overpaid, he feels guilty about it and he tries to justify it for himself by pointing out some people are even more stupid by paying even more. Word of advise: before you start spending cash do some research.
  16. 3000 copies pressed and fetching 450? Thrice fans must be nuts. edit: I noticed on the regular ended auctions sites that several copies have been sold for 130 dollars this year and last year I have seen a bunch of copies going below 100 dollars. I did not check if all of them have that error LP also, but one auction from last year that went for a 100 dollars had it for sure since it was pictured.
  17. So there are 4 colors of We're Down..., plus another color from EVR, plus the 180 gram version on black?
  18. Seriously? WTF! I have been checking that website for days now.
  19. I sort of hoped so, that other AN disbanded a few years ago as far I can tell and they never had anything released, so I don't think anyone would care. Also they (Malfunction) still sells the demo 7", that says American Nightmare.
  20. Bummed out to see GUTG printed on the sleeve/poster of Background Music. I think I will hold on to my American Nightmare copy.
  21. Picked up the Burn LP, Burn CD and both GUTG represses. Sweet deal.
