  1. Thanks so much for the tip. I had so many opportunities to snag that blue ORG press of "Nevermind" for $30, but I passed on it because I was actually happy with the MOFI. Now I wish I did
  2. In all fairness, the MFSL version of Nevermind blew away my original USA pressing. My OG was also pressed "off center," a bit. Once I bought the MOFI, I ended up selling my OG
  3. Same EXACT thing that happened to one of the mangled Diverse packages I mentioned in my prior thread... I was like...What the Hell!? But that was better than receiving nothing at all like the next one.
  4. I actually had a $150 record package never show up here in the USA from Diverse Vinyl in the U.K. First time ever that a record package completely vaporized. I am a long time customer for them, and they had no issue pulling the "new" records they still had in stock, and they promptly mailed me a new package, no questions asked! Just to be "on the safe side," I had them ship the replacement copies to a "different" address, and I received the new package within a couple of weeks. They only thing that sucked was that one of the records was a used copy of Hal's first album that they sadly did not have another copy of, and I am still looking for a copy to this day. It was the end of a series of "weirdness" of packages from them, as the prior two shipments were extremely mangled and damaged by the time they got to me, and Diverse packages their records like a Sherman Tank. So that being said, I would sit tight and see if this record shows up in about 3 or 4 months, and you might be pleasantly surprised. Alternately, if you absolutely want your money back... If you paid for your record with your credit card, you can still file a claim with the credit card company usually up to 6 months after the transaction was made. Then it is up the the dealer to "prove" that they mailed it to you, and the dealer may also have to prove "you received it." I had a few "shady deals" in my decades of record collecting, and I always got my money back that way, even when Paypal refused to do anything to help me. Good luck
  5. Same here...come ON Norah...Come to my Mailbox!!!
  6. Mine says "shipped" as well, when I clicked the tracking number. Now let's hope the cover is not beat to hell because Groupon shipped it in a Jiffy bag with no cardboard stiffeners
  7. I am REALLY looking for this too. I originally passed on this because of the high price, and the omission of the "score" LP. But this thing just looks so BEAUTIFUL. I normally don't buy records because of their "looks," but this one is just AWESOME looking. Please PM me any offers. Trades are great too.
  8. So WANT that Carnegie Hall Vinyl Box I hope another pre-order link shows up somewhere soon. Bull Moose?
  9. Eh, I also agree that the Blue/Black matches the cover art better. Plus I think it was a little cheaper than the Green. I am happy I got that one Now I feel like an idiot for buying that double clear "bootleg" version for $40 last year.
  10. Only if they are lying. CDs are mastered at 16bit/44.1kHz If they truly used the 24bit/96kHz "studio file," you should notice a bit more detail on the vinyl pressing, provided the white vinyl does not mar the audio with surface noise.
  11. I have had really great experiences with this store. Great packaging. The records show up in pristine condition. The only issues I ever had was I placed a big order, and then afterward found another record I wanted. I made another order immediately afterward, and then e-mailed and called them to merge the orders so I could save on shipping. They refused to do it, so I got hit with "double shipping." A similar thing happened when another order had a pre-order record in it. I asked to hold everything until the pre-order came in, and again they hit me with double shipping... Given the shoddy packaging I am getting from Amazon these days, I still appreciate them.
  12. Eh, I decided to spend the extra dollar and pre-order from Bull Moose. Given the shoddy packaging that I have been receiving from Amazon recently, I would rather give the extra to those guys. I also added a few things I wanted to the cart and got free shipping.
  13. I was able to pre-order this today. Missed the Pax-Am pre-order by a LONG shot, but may have saved myself a ton in shipping
  14. I have mint copies of both the Cranberry issue, and the Hot Topic Orange/Pink. I am a sucker for black vinyl. Want to trade?
  15. Given the records I have listened to, my own ears support this theory. My clear pressings sound amazing. I have had several white vinyl records that turned out noisy. The only exception to that rule is my German "White Vinyl" Line records re-issue of Garcia's WB solo album. That pressing was like playing a piece of glass. How did they do that!?
  16. In it for the swirl However, I wish there was a "classic black" option. I find those actually "sound" the best, but this will look good and hopefully sound better than my first press of Sunn O))) "Black One."
  17. I have one of the black Verve re-issues from the 70's that I paid $4 for back in the day. Gatefold, printed banana, no torso. It sounds GREAT Keep in mind, it is "tinny" sounding record. Not really an "audiophile" recording to begin with IMHO... However, I love this record. Really the antithesis of the hippy stuff that was popular at the time. Could be the worlds first "alternative rock" album
