If anyone has the limited "Lion's Roar" CD/DVD box, with the inserts and the guitar pick inside, I am looking for one. Cheers!

Now to pay it forward. Here is my 10% Coupon for the Solid State records webshop: C8RN-Y9KL-N1RC Use it for your own gold/yellow "O God.." or whatever else you would want on the site. And quick side note, still need a coke bottle clear if someone has an extra. Cheers! -

Thanks for that code! Grabbed the "O God..." on yellow, and two Demon Hunter LPs I have always wanted since I saw them on MTV2 Headbangers Ball back in the day. I really wanted that coke bottle, but it sold out when I looked at the website after it woke up. Don't want to buy a T-shirt that won't fit, or don't want, just to get that specific color. The code took $6 off my order. Every little bit helps, Thanks! P.S. If someone has an extra Coke Bottle or wants to trade for gold, please PM -
True that. I keep forgetting this is "experimental" noise rock, so the extra grit may ADD to the experience, and not detract. Kind of like the artists who release something "only" on cassette, cause the "hiss" and muffled audio adds to the experience. I just don't get it though. I originally got into vinyl back in the 90s because a well pressed record just sounded better than the vintage CD versions, most of the time... I want the version that "sounds" the best. So I guess that would be the 24bit+ studio file and my laptop... But I just prefer the whole "vinyl experience..." Maybe we are both right

Jumped on that Clear. I actually plan on "listening" to the record, so that was the best choice for me. I actually wish I could trade in my noisy white vinyl pressings for clear versions. Why someone would buy the GITD with a "disclaimer" that states it is "gonna be noisy" is really beyond me.

Were the record clubbers supposed to receive a copy of this? Or was this a separate thing?

It was pressed up at Acoustic Sounds, the same people that pressed up the US Audiophile issue of Counting Crows "August and Everything After" for $50. People here have been raving about the quality of that one too. I may have a pink copy of this coming my way.(Ordered the autographed version.) Hopefully the colored vinyl doesn't add extra surface noise to the pressing.

Sonic Youth Geffen Era Reissues!

Can you elaborate a little bit why you feel the MFSL is not really "true" to the sound of the original? I always thought the MFSL pressings were as close to the studio master tape as possible. Does the MFSL feature an alternate "earlier" mix or something? -

I would rather have a "Clear Vinyl" pressing than a "White Vinyl" pressing. If BFRSD is indeed "white" I will pass on it, if indeed a clear is coming out in the future. Was just hoping someone might post if they know.

Does anyone know if there WILL be a clear pressing, RSD or otherwise? I would like to wait out for the clear, if there is a good chance of it happening.
