  1. I so need that Mad Season/Seattle Symphony colored vinyl LP. Had I known there WAS a 10C exclusive, I would have promptly ordered Anyone know if "Live at the Moore" will have a 10C colored variant?
  2. Thanks so much for posting this. I was looking for it on the Bull Moose website since last weekend, and could not find it.
  3. I love me some Sarah McLachlan. And even though I have the Classic 200 gram pressing, I still might get this. The first pressing that Classic did of this on 180 gram sounded TERRIBLE. I replaced it with the black 200 gram, and that one sounded much better, but the lead in groove was done "sloppy." I have to drop the needle just right, otherwise the opening second of "Buliding a Mystery" gets cut off. I don't think I have another record that has this "flaw." Really sloppy mastering from a company that charged $30-$50 retail for an album. I wonder if Classic ever corrected the later pressings? Bring on the MOV!
  4. We ALL have those. I had the original Tool "Aenima" in my hand, back in the day, for $12 and PUT IT BACK because I was not crazy about the song "Stinkfist." What a FOOL am I
  5. Bought my OG "Takk" from Mod Lang in CA back in the day for $50 while gritting my teeth. $45 is a DEAL!
  6. Eh, I actually did a shoot out between the original 1992 EMI pressing of "Us," compared to the 200 gram black Classic pressing of record #1. We did this on my buddies high end set up, Spica speakers, Blue Point Special cart...(Forget the rest of his set up) To my ears, the Classic had more "low end," while the original EMI had more "high end" detail. Pretty much apples and oranges, but I preferred the original EMI pressing, and that cost me about $25 back when it was a "new album." I have really enjoyed the quality of many/most of the original EMI pressings. I have disliked a few of the Classic pressings. Although, I would love to find a Clarity copy of Melt though, as it is the only one of the "big four" I am missing
  7. I would rather pay "insane shipping costs," than e-Bay markups.
  8. You totally ROCK Coolio! I would LOVE a Blue "Rift." Please PM if there is an extra available. I also have an extra RSD "LawnBoy" if you need it. Also, the repress of "The White Tape" is up on Dry Goods as I post this.
  9. I SO want this... No way I could afford it though. Amazing album...IMHO.
  10. Thanks for the "correction" on that. I am assuming the "Sub Pop Mega Mart" is selling this Plain re-issue then? I had the option to add the "Curtain.." re-issue to my cart when I pre ordered the new record.
  11. Eh, I pre-ordered. I love this band. And a heads up if you missed it, Sub Pop also repressed their excellent "Curtain Hits the Cast" album on Vinyl with some bonus tracks on there. I would have grabbed it, but I am very happy with my "original."
  12. ^ This ^ I can not get over HOW GOOD this pressing sounds. I did not believe the hype until I heard it with my own two ears. I heard so many copies got "returned" as defects back in the day because the RL was cut so hot, it caused your typical 1969 turntable to skip in some spots. But play that thing on a properly set up, decent turntable, it sounds like Robert and the boys just kicked your door in, and are just ROCKIN' OUT in your living room.
  13. The very first USA pressing on TVT from 1989 sounds GREAT. I picked up a scuffy VG copy with a cut corner back in the day, and it just sounded awesome. I later picked up an early 90s re-issue on TVT new, and it sounded poor in comparason. (Made in Canada seal on the back cover.) I have not heard the 2010 re-issue.
  14. Ok, I love Dire Straits first album.... but why are they looking at the COVER of it, with a DIFFERENT record on the "vertical turntable?" Oh wait, that is just a "conversation piece." The Dire Straits album is playing on the "real" turntable you can't see in the picture.
  15. How quickly is this one expected to sell out? I truly want one (or both versions.) But I have to wait until I get paid in a week.
  16. Bring that stuff to the Waxidermy message board. Those folks eat that "private pressing" stuff up! I like some of it too, but the price gouging is WAYYYY out of my league.
  17. What is the general opinion of GZvinyl pressings? Are they generally better than the pressings that Sub Pop puts out in the USA these days? Are they pressed at United? With this info, I would like to score a Clear UK press, if I can find one that does not "break the bank."
  18. That is good to know. I thought there was a separate UK pressing on clear wax. But, if it is the same pressing as Sub Pop, that would be the cheaper way to go for me.
  19. Yes! I just LOVE the sound of this band. After listening to tracks off of "Bloom," I think they love the Cocteau Twins as much as I do!
