Yeah, not a fan of those shadow policies that suddenly come into effect. I know Paypal does that sorta thing. For newer labels just putting out first product thru Bandcamp or whatever, if they make a certain amount of money in a short time like that, they just freeze your funds until things are reviewed and accounted for, or something like that. Meaning you can't accept money for the product, and any money you have collected is unusable until they decide to free them up, so if it's a preorder (you need the money to make the thing) it just jams up the whole process for weeks or months. I suppose it's to stop shady or criminal behavior, but it looks like 95% of the time it's just a huge headache for people attempting to do legitimate business.

I'm surprised Discogs, being the company it is now, doesn't have a man on deck at all times to fix these financial issues. Or like, a phone number. Especially after rolling out some shiny new payment method. I'm sure you're not the only one who's had an issue like this. Sorry bro.

I constantly get those notifications that encourage me to set up my Discogs payments, going on and on about how people are more likely to buy, etc. I haven't yet out of pure laziness - now I'm glad I didn't.

However, checks are pretty easy to get. I have checks solely to pay the rent, I don't use them for anything else, so one book lasts me a long time. Shouldn't take longer than a week or so to acquire them.

Would they accept an online printout or something?

Wow that sucks, I just started selling through discogs and was contemplating using  that.  
 
Also discogs also charges just a little more for creating shipping labels through their site over PayPal, but still directs you to PayPal to pay for the shipping label

I'm curious as to the resolution here/how long it takes to resolve, keep us updated please!

Damn, is that TA really on the docket for 2020?  Big if true.  Stage Four is my favorite thing they’ve done so I’m all for whatever direction they’re heading.

Hadn’t really given this band a chance before, but based off the singles it sounds like their new album could scoop up the ball that the last Menzingers album really fumbled, for me.  That new variant is pretty nice, too.

Its been a while since I've heard a record with such honesty.

Each song just keeps getting better. I love this band so much, the lyrics hit so close to home. Like if I could write, this is what they would be.

I’d bet half my paycheck on ETID. I wish they’d get more current hardcore bands. Incendiary, Turnstile, Gouge Away, Touche Amoré. Would be so legit. 

I need Every Time I Die, Snapcase, and Grade to get added to this....I have a feeling only one of those will happen though.

Yup, UGA is coming to T-Town to play. that being said, there's a lot of hotels here. I honestly don't think it will be that big of a problem.

$250 for 3 days typically means a band the size and cost of Pearl Jam, foo fighters, Dave Matthews was playing. 

Unfortunately, ~$250 for a 3 day fest is pretty normal these days. Also, you have to consider that this is a one time thing. No way to make up profit the following year like most fests do. Also, the bands are significantly more expensive to book than they were 20 years ago. In fact, I’m pretty sure a ton of them played for free back in the day. Now, many of them have to be paid enough to take the time to get together and rehearse and travel to the fest to play. 

Just looked at the price and it is silly expensive. Do you expect single day tickets to be released at some point

I never went to Furnace Fest back in the day, even though my college wasn't but a four hour drive from it. That being said, I don't think going now will make as many memories for me as it would have back then. But here I am with way more disposable income and the resources to enjoy myself (like getting a hotel room instead of crashing on friend's floors). 

Isn't there a football game there that weekend that's going to require getting accommodations early?

Funny,  I seriously consider to have a budget of $1400 for this one and planning my trip from Europe. This line up  would definitely worth the effort.
