I have too and it was fine and I know not everyone gets the bad experience, even with very bad retailers with much worse reputations. I was just thinking aloud as my time, energy, and purchases are more limited these days and the potential for a bad customer service experience feels more daunting when you're no longer in your prime vinyl buying shape. 😊

House of Sugar is his first killer album, IMO. Instead of circling and meandering around an idea, he hits it head on and packs all the power into a tighter, more efficient package. It *is* less effortful which can read as 'light' or 'lacking' on the first or second pass but it's a masterful album. Once it sinks in, every song becomes an ear worm and each choice hits with precision. I might still prefer his lo-fi indie rock stuff and how it translates live but, of the 'proper studio' albums, this is the first one that realizes the potential he flashed on those 'killer tracks' on Rocket and Beach Music. Stick with it.

Does this Green Day band have anything to do with the 90s band Green Day that broke up after their final album Warning? Cause that band was pretty good and this is not pretty good.

Weezer is essentially 3 different bands now, all called Weezer and featuring the same members. Rivers just cranks out a ton of rock, pop, and nightmare studio atrocity songs and saves them in a different folder until each gets to 10-12 songs.
As far as the long pre-order lead in, I think Weezer probably haven't finished the album but wanted to join GD and FOB on the synced release date scheme. I'm assuming the posted release date is worst case scenario and it actually gets released way before then once they finish the album.

I like the idea that their post-Warning career is one big fuck you to the super fan who stole the master tapes for their unreleased Insomniac-sounding follow up to Warning. “You stole our sequel to Insomniac and now you’ll never hear good new Green Day music ever again.”

I know AI gets love from a lot of Green Day fans but, the moment I heard the first singles, I knew I was listening to a very different thing than whatever 1,039 to Warning Green Day was. I don't even think I dislike that record. It just feels like a different band doing something else that I wasn't that interested in. My little brother loved AI for like a summer before he became a proper metal head. Lol.

All I ask is they go back 10 years to my own personal favorite era (The Con/So Jealous) despite it not being as nearly successful or current as their electro mainstream breakthrough era. Is that too much to ask, Tegan and Sara?

I was thinking the same about the refund portion but this dude is not being reasonable whatsoever. I don't mind negative feedback because it's the only negative feedback I've ever gotten. Thanks again.

In this case, I think the worst PayPal can do to you is make you offer a refund upon return. It’s not the best result for you but you do get the item back and you aren’t responsible for return shipping costs. Also, unless you sold it for a premium, the seam split on a VG record shouldn’t knock too much money off your next sale, if any.
If PayPal asks you to do anything more than that, that’s when I’d give them a call.
All that said, unless the buyer chills out, you might end up with bad feedback. If avoiding bad feedback and getting customers to walk away and leave you alone is a higher priority than “being right!!!”, sometimes a more reasonable partial refund is worth your while. 50% is wack though. I’d offer $2-3 bucks or 5-10%, whichever is higher, at most.

Dealing with buyers is a little like doing Jedi mind tricks sometimes. I’ve had to over apologize and be over sympathetic to walk some people off the ledge and back into a rational place where they’d accept a more realistic resolution. But some people are hellbent in doing things the hard way. I usually detach and cut off communication once they go full crazy or let me know they won’t accept anything but their unrealistic resolution. At that point, I let PayPal handle them and I just calmly provide my side of the situation to the claim and I’ve been lucky to never lose. Calling PayPal and speaking to someone is really helpful and better than simply writing a message via email or the resolution center. Sorry you had to deal with that buyer.

Not a huge fan of SK or SV but I think lowering the stigma against little butts, whether they are musician butts or body double butts, is a noble thing. We should be proud of our booties, any gender, size, shape, or color.

Humiliation is the best National song that no one ever thinks about though. If I was in a band and we were on a National tribute album that’s the song I’d pick to make people think we were really cool and hip.
