Boo. I can't take any more of that band. I saw them every day on the Warped Tour (a very, very long time ago) and not only did they play the same set every day, the banter was also the same. Rehearsing your entire show, including what you say when you come back out for an encore is just about the lamest thing I can think of. But if you like them, good for you.

I reviewed that 7" for AP and he was even a little slow getting it to me for that. From what I can tell though he's a stand-up dude. Give him another chance. The 7" is great by the way. Also, if he doesn't send you the record or contact you in another week hit me up and I'll send you audio files of the songs.

I've suffered from constant SIs for years. The neti pot is great. Use it a lot. It's uncomfortable but good.

I agree with the whole "make black the rarer color concept," except I like the option of buying black. I'd hate to have to roll the dice and wind up getting purple murple / vanilla panther swirl. You know I got a 7" once with glitter in it? It wouldn't even play properly. Granted it was a review copy, but how am I supposed to review that? Good ol' black vinyl all day for me please.

I guess the folks that work there are glad there's all that world music garbage they put out on their imprint. So instead of listening to (insert awful band here) they can listen to (insert awful world music here). That's not to say that I think all their bands are awful or anything. I just wouldn't want to have to listen to JUST what they have in current rotation all the time. I could probably listen to Bloodlet and Earth Crisis for about six months. I really like the first few Silverstein Records. And I'm probably never going to get tired of All Out War and Warzone.

QFT Also, I do know they had like three more records worth of shit from the Stadium sessions. Maybe it's that? I have heard that John is no longer working with them, so it will probably suck like One Hot Minute if they bring in anyone other than Eddie Hazel or Dave Knudson to play guitar (and one of those dudes ain't gonna take the job if you know what I'm saying). Hey, maybe Omar could take the guitar job since John played guitar on almost every Mars Volta album, in some case as the only guitar player. Now that would be truly cool.

Walk around town and see how many of those "Stanley Kubrick 2010: A Space Odyssey" stencil things you can find. And if you've never seen the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial it truly is amazing. The sheer number of names on that thing is mind boggling.

Joan Of Arc did this too. I for one think it's a great idea. Think about it like this: we pay taxes because we expect certain services in return. We are forced to pay, but are never guaranteed the services we were promised. There are all sorts of loopholes officials use to get around doing what they are supposed to do, but you have very little in the way of recourse. And you NEVER get any good music out of it. So I'm all for people voluntarily subsidizing the music they like. Considering all the shitty garbage we're forced to pay for or tricked into buying, this ain't so bad.

This happened right about the time all those accusations about Tony abusing employees were going around. It was sort of funny because I just kept imagining Tony ripping around the office choking people, throwing computers out windows and generally freaking the fuck out over this misprint. I should say that I have always been treated like a king by Victory's press people over the past almost 20 years. Even though I'm not a huge fan of the music they put out now the press folks over there are still top notch and I've never heard from anyone of them that Tony is as he is presented. Not that it means anything. Perhaps they live in fear? Who knows.

I, too, have the deluxe version and it is excellent in every way -- except that about half the songs aren't very good. Still, much love for the amazing RHCP.

I'm in no hurry to get an iPhone. Whenever I replace my current phone I'll probably get one, but I would never have switched to AT&T just for this. Everyone I know who has AT&T hates it, and though I'm sure there are problems with Verizon I have personally had great service and haven't heard anyone complain about theirs. I am curious what having a shitload of iPhones on Verizon's network will do to its overall performance. I'm sure they've thought of that, but I'm still a little wary.
