Add that Luna Penthouse reissue with the bonus tracks to my wishlist in my signature... Guess I'm flipping my copy from the box set as a result if I decide to buy the new version. Hope it fits in the box. I might nix The Sundays since I realised it's a no-frills reissue... Unless I like the price.... Because between the Bowie and SDRE alone I'm already north of 100 CAD very likely... The Air 12" I could live without, too but it sure looks pretty and I have a VG grade copy of Casanova 70 to go with it. Field Music I'd have to pick up if it's at the store because it'll be hard to find it later IMO but I won't die if I don't see it. I didn't buy those very temptingly discounted Beastie Boys boxsets in the other thread (I might regret that decision but I'm banking they might be on sale again by year's end) so I might actually afford everything on my wishlist even! If money were no object, those TV Personalities records would be snapped up, too. I hope they stick around for me to pick up later, or that these reissues are a feeler for a box set with a rarities disc or two thrown in. Anyway, I'm more enthused about RSD than in ages which is saying something because I skipped it the last two years (and still bought one or two things I was mildly interested in days/weeks later).

Not to be found at Discogs at the moment, and certainly not for under 20 bucks anymore, I would think). Total was 56.3? USD but I had about 60CAD in my PayPal account (I forgot about a refund and assumed it got credited to my card) so I ended up paying close to 18CAD extra for all four! That's *some* RSD money saved.

This thread prompted me to listen to all of that album... Kinda speechless at how little fucks is given by MK any more, even down to being bad Codeine "groovy bass jams" for 150+ minutes with so little variation and sooooo many callbacks as if this was the Captain America: Civil War chapter of SKM mixed with Magnetic Fields at his most alienated. I came close to buying it anyway precisely because this album seems so unpopular right now and the shelf-life of the songs seem to be six months which makes this an amazing time capsule of 2016 going into 2017.

My friend has an OG copy (realized it the other night) but I don't think he's too interested in A/Bing with me and I won't even bother asking him to loan it.

I'll stick with Tidal to give it a fair shake even though I have a list of swappable records.

Tell me about it! It's already pretty crazy how many early 2000s albums are being reissued for 15th anniversary editions... Postal Service, Badly Drawn Boy, Califone... Even more crazy is knowing that Sgt. Peppers is about to be 50 years old, which is twice as old as when I first started listening to The Beatles seriously. Now, albums from that early 90s era like the first Blur are celebrating their 25th anniversary!

Fingers crossed since Adore already got the box set treatment (20th Anniversary of that album next year; a vinyl box set would be nice) and Machina's 20th is in two years...

TPAB was released on vinyl like 4 months after it dropped digitally. D'Angelo's latest took the better part of a year. I won't hold my breath for DAMN. on vinyl until September... especially if the rumours are true and we're getting another album on Monday... Price-gouging vinyl boxset any1???

Any plans to ship copies to stores? I'm in Canada and if my retailer can absorb the shipping fee I'd rather go pre-order from him tomorrow in-store...

Ha, yeah, I really only know how to fix a negroni, Boulevardier and the version of it where you add an oz of Chartreuse to the mix. Oh yeah, pretty sure the last remaining ingredient for the monthly cocktail is sparkling water and ice but I'd have to guess at the mix's flavour balance...

Owl's Brew Wicked Green (tea, peppers, agave, citrus mix)... TFW the one uber-snobby cocktail store in town which carries over two dozen brands of bitters doesn't carry this stuff. Laguna Salt Co. Lemon Sea Flake Salt (I figure cheapo pickling salt + homemade lemon peel flakes using a cheese grater or lemon powder could do the trick for this).

Colour me disappointed too. Is that common for the drink recipes? There's "synergistic branding" ("Hey, common brand x of liquor who we are namechecking for $$$ mixes the best with recipe y") and then there's "buy our 'partners' exclusive ingredients or you're fucked"
