  1. There have been rumors of a Twilight Singers box set, which would be awesome if we saw some of the stuff that was never pressed but the last couple of albums are easily found so it seems a bit redundant.
  2. Good lord, been waiting for these for awhile. For anyone popping into this thread randomly, these guys are one of if not THE most underrated bands of all time. I probably wouldn't start with any of these necessarily, maybe Congregation, but Gentlemen and Black Love are perfection. Now all we need is a Blackberry Belle repress and I'll be set.
  3. There's a good chance I'm going. If they have them for sale I'll grab you one. If it's only one per ticket though I'm afraid I won't be able to do much.
  4. Were there previous plans for this reissue? Any hopes of some of the others being repressed?
  5. OK, so it's been awhile since I've tampered with my setup and I'm ready to lay down some money on improvements. Right now I'm running a Music Hall 5.1 turntable with a (pretty standard and probably shitty comparatively) Onkyo TX-8255 receiver and some PSB Alpha B1 bookshelf speakers. I just purchased Sennheiser 6XX headphones from Massdrop, set to ship in December, and it got me thinking of my setup and what I can do to really get the most out of them. I'm guessing I should start with replacing the Onkyo receiver and was thinking of getting a Yamaha integrated amp in the $500-$600 range. I was also thinking of putting the money towards a dedicated headphone amp instead (or eventually in tandem) but don't know if I'll get the most out of the headphones if it's still running through the Onkyo. Suggestions? I'm open to any and all suggestions especially since I am fairly inexperienced when it comes to the finer points of setup. I'm willing to modestly invest and would like something that would last and obviously sound great. Thanks for any help and input.
  6. Agreed about the color, especially when you see all the nice color variants they have for other records currently in the store.
  7. I don't own it and like the national enough so I'm ok with it. Last couple were swaps for me so it's nice to stick with the ROTM for once.
  8. Thanks for posting, would've totally missed this. Also went for the red, curious as to the run on them. Hopefully I wasn't too late for the signed copies.
  9. I think Zwan is fantastic. Zeitgeist is probably half good, Oceania I really enjoy; not too many misses there for me. Monuments I really didn't enjoy too much. All things considered I think it's been more good than bad. I do agree that without Chamberlain there's a hole there. Despite all of his foibles and questionable actions, Corgan is still a great songwriter. If the rumors are true this would really be something fun to see.
  10. That's right, I completely forgot about those rumors. It would definitely bring a dynamic element back to the band but SP was always Corgan and Chamberlain anyways. I would still be excited about this though. I honestly love everything he's put out under the Pumpkins moniker, as well as everything else in between.
  11. What are we thinking here? I know Corgan is selling pretty much his entire suite of instruments from various recording sessions in his career, think this has anything to do with that?
  12. Haha, I'm glad you told me that! I'll probably come by the following weekend then. Really looking forward to it.
  13. People who have never owned a small business or have put lots of money and hard work into a labor of love will always try and knock you down. Just ignore them and do what you gotta do. I wish you all the success in the world and I look forward to stopping by (probably on the first Monday). I'll be sure to say hi!

  15. I don't know why I slept on this, I really enjoy these guys. If anyone hears about some extra clears popping up please let me know!
  16. Received the Sunny Day in Glasgow record this week (along with my swapped Panda Bear) and it's a really solid release. I bought this record blind and it was just the type of thing I was looking for. The record itself looks gorgeous and the packaging is top notch. If they're still available I highly recommend it to anyone that's into more melodic and airy shoegaze type stuff. Really nice.
  17. Haha, I don't know if anyone needs Scatman on vinyl (or any format for that matter). Really enjoyed the second season and have been toying with picking this up. Might have to pull the trigger soon.
  18. Received the box set today as well. As others have said, it's gorgeous and the fact that it matches the AMSP set is extra awesome. I hope this is a trend that continues. Would love to see more deluxe versions of these classics.
  19. It's definitely nice to have and I'm grateful it exists but I can't help but feel being bamboozled by the price. Honestly surprised that Trent would allow this based on past releases and how all out he goes with the live shows.
  20. Because we're all nuts and this board doesn't help save us any money.
  21. Finally got a chance to sit down with this and it sounds wonderful. Really nice to revisit some stuff from this era. But seriously, for $80 the packaging is horrendous.
  22. I'm a small business owner myself so I know how stressful these things can be. If you're looking for any help send me a PM (completely serious as I'm looking to change in career). Best of luck.
