  1. Anyone else experience the plastic sleeve splitting near the bottom? For both VMP and Bleep editions, the PVC sleeves have split near the bottom right-hand corner of both of my copies. They both arrived in perfect condition, but I guess after several months of sitting on the shelf the sleeves just seemed to have split on their own. I'll never understand why record labels continue to utilize this sort of packaging.
  2. I'm very familiar with all of their material, just never got around to actually purchasing it on vinyl. Regardless, I wholeheartedly agree with your statement.
  3. I grabbed both variants. The description of each variant just sounded so unique to me, I just had to jump on both before they sold out (FOMO). I'll be parting with the undesired copy and ship to anyone who wants it. I don't have any of their other releases on vinyl (yet), but I've seen them live so I figured it's only proper for my first purchase to be a live album.
  4. It's actually refreshing to see a list full of subpar releases. I think we could all use a break from the fictitious hype that RSD tends to generate. With that said, I'm probably in for Danny Brown. Coheed was on my radar but I'm probably just going to go for the "D2C" version. Peter Tosh & Sublime would be fun to come across, but I'm not dead set on either.
  5. I picked up this boxset for RSD '13 and I'm so glad I did. Solid release.
  6. Right on! Delmar's a nice area. My wife and I lived in Center Square for several years. Good to you meet you dude!
  7. Have you considered using furniture straps for your Expedit? They're usually good for scenarios such as yours where crown molding gets in the way.
  8. I used an extra long gate made by Regalo at first https://www.amazon.com/Regalo-192-Inch-Super-Wide-White/dp/B003VNKLIY/ref=sr_1_5_s_it?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1487351425&sr=1-5&keywords=regalo+extra+wide Depending on your setup, the gate could look rather ugly but it was my answer to not having to worry about my turntable & collection at times when I couldn't be present in the living room. You can also remove sections if you feel it's too long. The gate worked really well in my humble opinion, but since then I've moved the collection to my bedroom where I feel is more fitting at the moment. Now, I can just shut the door or put up a small baby gate so the room is completely blocked off. My kid gets testy, he knows he isn't supposed to touch the records but sometimes 'pretends' he's going for them just to get a reaction. Moving it all to the bedroom was the better option in my case.
  9. HIFI 24/7 has The Best Of CKY for $20 (no media mail option though) http://hifi247.com/cky-the-best-of-cky-vinyl.html
  10. Awesome setup - and it's nice that you haven't (yet) received snide comments from the resident douchebags like "whats up with the duplicates" or "jesus hoarding christ" like I have. Cheers!
  11. This is exactly where I'm headed. I already got rid of all my Fall Of Troy Doppelganger variants that ETR repressed, because those are worthless to me. I still have the OG pressing from Divergent Records (both variants).
  12. Chances are you might be eyeing that center cube - in which case it's I Am The Avalanche (S/T, Avalanche United, Wolverines - all presses, all variants, and tests). Two cubes below that is This Is Hell (all releases, and all variants of those releases). Long Island bands and their infinite variants... My only regret as a collector is not keeping my discogs collection updated after all these years - it's something that I've slowly been working on though.
  13. We collect variants of the artists/bands that are near and dear to us (Dear Hunter, Glassjaw, Movielife, I Am The Avalanche, This Is Hell, Vinnie Caruana). Sure, to most, that may sound stupid or crazy. However, when you no longer can regularly attend shows because you have a child and the nearest relative is 2 hours away, you tend to show support in other ways - in our case it's collecting all the damn variants (and tests) in existence.
  14. This was taken over the holidays. The collection is in the bedroom - away from our toddler's grasp.
  15. Same here. Haven't received either order (OK#1 2nd pressing and OK#2 mega bundle). I emailed them on Nov 30th and got a response the same day: It seems like they're doing all they can themselves with very little help. I don't mind the wait - hell, I could even wait another 6 months, but I emailed them out of fear that my order was somehow lost in the shuffle of things.
  16. I have to agree on this. I missed out on all the other 4LP packages from RTJ1 and RTJ2. I hate to say it but I'm probably going to pass on this... and trying to collect the past 4LP packages on the secondary market will really put a beating on my bank account if I wanted them.
  17. If anyone's still looking for Death Grips, Turntable Lab now has leftovers available. I would act fast though.... https://www.turntablelab.com/products/death-grips-fashion-week-interview-2016-vinyl-2lp-record-store-day
  18. About 10 minutes late but Lucy Gray is finally up for order... and at $30 before shipping
  19. Just got an email from Bleep saying my order was dispatched, so I'm assuming all US orders are going out now.
  20. Death Grips is a must for me. I'm also picking up Sesame Street for my boy.
  21. Waiting on the VMP variant that comes out today since I've slept on all previous preorders for Volume 1 and I could put my member subscription to good use. I'm loving the variant descriptions for Volume 2 - almost to the point where I'm tempted to buy all the variants based on their names alone. I'm most likely going to buy a blob variant since they're so unique and I don't have many clear-vinyl-with-color 'blob' variants in my collection to begin with.
  22. It's happening to me too - I think there are issues with the cart rather than traffic
