They only overpaid by $1400. I get that people sometimes have no options other than to pay current discogs/ buy it now prices if they don't want to wait for something. But paying that much for that is just dumb when it doesn't even break 1k when it goes up for auction. It also makes me wonder how often sellers fake sales on discogs.

Wow. I'm a bit in shock on this. I don't think I've ever seen it sell for much higher than 3k before and somehow 6 different bidders bid over 6k on it? The guy who bought a near mint one for 3k on discogs in December is feeling pretty good right now.

What is almost as impressive to me as this selling out in 90 seconds is that the ebay auction has over 230 views the first hour it was up. Are people really that desperate for this on ebay? They have to press a ton more right?

That is exactly how I felt about him 10 years ago.

The original press is a 2lp according to discogs. So I'd assume this is the same.

Got my signed Dry Demos LP from her store today. Can someone explain why England makes the worlds thinnest cardboard mailers? The package was really banged up but somehow the sleeve is great other than a tiny corner ding. Really nice large signature in gold marker. I used the TrakPak shipping option and it took around 10 days from the day it shipped to when I got it in Michigan.

I was just wondering the same thing as well. I remember hearing 7 words on the local independent station near me and it blew me away. Ran out and bought the tape as soon as i could. Saw them a few times around 96-98 and they were absolutely fantastic live as well. So those first couple albums are really still my favorites. Probably followed by Diamond Eyes. But i could see someone who didn't hear Adrenaline until a bit later not liking it much compared to the later albums.

When this first came out in February they were trying to charge $100 for the signed version which I couldn't believe. Glad they finally dropped the price but an extra $20 is still a bit much since Kid Gorgeous was only $20 unsigned/$25 signed.

Just got mine in the mail. It's funny how this sold out in hours and people are paying stupid amounts for it on ebay. Yet his newest album sat for a while at 1k and he still is selling VMP copies on his site which were limited to only 500. He REALLY needs to press/repress the first few mixtapes. His early work is so good and obviously still in demand.

I'm still mad I didn't jump on one of those. But primarily because of what they go for now. I had the original cds and knew that I'd probably never actually listen to it on vinyl so I talked myself out of it. Which is something I almost never do.

That is obnoxious. I guess they dont make enough on their $75 glow in the dark eps to cover the $5 hit they would have had to take on your replacement.

Not sure of this counts but without giving any details, a friend and I were able to get 5 copies of Pearl Jam's Orpheum on red/blue vinyl from Newbury stores around Boston over the past couple of years. Nothing sketchy, just a little detective work and a whole lot of luck.

I've been lucky and probably underpaid for most of my used collection. But 2 of my biggest deals were by the band Coil: -Musick to Play in the Dark 1 LP - with signed certificate - I already had a copy but just missed one on ebay that a seller sold as "buy it now" for $50. Sold within minutes. So I started watching their listings and a few days later they listed another copy of it for $75. I snagged that. I actually sold it year later for $550 to cover the cost of something else. Still have my other copy. -Wheel 7" single with special artwork limited to 23 copies - No other ones had ever been posted to discogs before so someone listed it for $150. It would probably sell for 4-5x that now. I've got lucky on a few things on Discogs only because there was no prior sales history. -Also got an amazing condition original copy of Throbbing Gristle's 2nd Annual Report for $100 which was a steal.

It was too much. And generally I only hurt myself when I don't buy albums out of principle when I know they are going to sell out and go for stupid $$ afterwards. But I'm stubborn.

I just wish some UK retailers would get it so that it would be under $50. PS i hate paying VAT on items shipped to the US.

I pay the $9/month to distill because sometime you just need to check a site every 10 seconds 24 hours a day. But it really has saved me countless times over the past few years I have used it.

Its' up at some other nl stores as well. But cheapest shipping I have seen so far to the states is 27 euros.

I'm really hoping that Dry Demos is an actual signed LP like it said and not an art card. That just shipped out yesterday.

Seems to just be a repress of the one that came out in 2015 that sells for stupid amounts of $. It was up in their EU shop last week and is sold out now. But it will hopefully be up on the US store at some point. Pretty sure it was $60 on the US site when it was first released.
