i must be one of the few that has had great luck with amazon. i know people got Benji and Perils from Amazon and Matthew Copper (Eluvium) posted the link to buy his ep there so they must get some stuff from CV/VF. thankfully i don't think any of the 4 will sell for that much so if i miss out I'll pick them up down the road. I'd just go buy them tomorrow at my local store if there wasn't going to be a massive line to wait in.

Amazon gold vinyl was $6 cheaper so I'll take my chances. If they don't come through I'll track it down at some point. I don't need all 4 of those but for amazons prices i couldn't pass them up.

The amazon release date has always been Dec 9th which is the same as their date for the Kozelek's Christmas album and the other Vinyl Film preorders (McCready, Eluvium). I'm either going to be real happy or pissed that week depending on how that goes.

I thought this was a Black Friday only release until i saw the preorders pop up a few days ago. Rough Trade and the other big UK based stores also also have it. Anyone know if the Black Friday release is different than these?

Matthew initially said that these would only be available in record stores. But they've been up on amazon for around a month so hopefully they actually get them.

I get slightly annoyed when bands do things like this, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a store/label do it with their "exclusives". I know Newbury also jacks up the prices of their autographed cds when they get down to the last few as well. But I find there to be no excuse for overcharging for new unopened items that should be sold for regular prices in their store. And for the few Newbury defenders out there, just imagine of Hot Topic stated doing this with their exclusives. This may sound dumb but I'd have no issues if i came across a copy of this used at my local store for $50+ if that is the current market cost (which it really isn't). But Newbury has no right to mark up "exclusive" releases that should be available for regular price.

Yeah, them holding back copies of that and then trying to sell them at double their initial price is despicable. Plus pretty much the only ones that have sold on ebay recently have been under $50. Some as low as $30. I won't ever order anything from them again.

The US versions are up for preorder on Amazon. Currently prices are $23 for Let Love in, Murder Ballads, Henry's Dream, Tender Prey, Good Son, and Boatman's Call with a 12/23 release date. Funeral and First Born are $20 set for release on 12/15.

I think there were under 20 Lambents to start with the other 2 had a bit more. But all 3 from the box were under 50.

I was hoping this would get repressed someday. Hopefully the Lost Highway soundtrack is next!

If you like the noisier stuff check out the tracks 16:12 & Lost Snow from "Walking Cloud..." and Com from "One more Step...". Those have always been 3 of my Mono favorites and they were amazing live back when they used to play them. But those old albums had a good mixture overall of quieter songs as well. And I can't recommend either of those albums enough (especially Walking).

There is literally no difference from the "first pressing" to the new pressing. Same pressing plant, same plates were used, same labels, etc." So this is a new pressing and appears to not be limited.

So are we assuming they just duplicated their initial run of 420 and 1000 then?

Based off of this I'm guessing it's a new press that is just identical. I have the green which looks great for those wondering which color to buy. Steve Are these black and green discs from the first pressing or are they new? If they're new, is there any way to differentiate them from the originals? Sleep, literally the same record as the first pressing. They also said this last month: "YES: we ARE re-pressing The Clarity. More copies are in the ordering process. It will be available in black and green, and an as-yet-to-be-announced color. Please, PLEASE don't waste your money buying an over-priced copy on eBay. Save it for burritos, or weed, or Sabbath footwear."

I've ordered a ton of stuff from the UK and Germany since the late 90's and I've never once paid any fees. But I know a bunch of people who have gotten screwed receiving items I've sent.

They appear to have a very limited amount of white now as well.

my brother grabbed 4 sro tix as well for the wrigley gig. seems like they were easier to get than i expected.
