  1. The PJ fans alone will make this impossible to get. That's why I've called like 8 stores within a couple hours of me. 2 said that they already knew about it and planned on getting some and will supposedly tell me when it gets in. The others were clueless. We shall see. I'm honestly an equal fan on all 5 artists so I've been waiting on this since first seeing the "500 clear future box" mention on theuncool probably 5+ years ago just from the MK/Low/Mono records out back then. Be super bummed if i miss it.
  2. Just received from Elusive,a nd it looks like it has been removed from the site: "Dear valued Elusive Disc Customer, Thank you for your preorder of the Red House Painters LP box set! We have learned since announcing this preorder, that the label will be heavily allocating this release (information not shared with us until today). We hope that we can get enough to fill our existing preorders. If we are not able to, we will advise as soon as we know. Due to this heavy allocation (only 1,500 worldwide), we will not be able to provide any customers with more than 1 box set. Our sincerest apologies. Your card will not ultimately be charged unless we can fill and ship your order. Like many ecommerce sites our website only does what is called a pre authorization. A pre authorization only checks your security code and does an address verification and if both match it puts a "hold" on the funds (usually up to 7 days). It does not actually take the money from your account it just reduces the amount of your available balance on your card. Your original preauthorization has been voided today. Once again, thank you for your order!"
  3. People talking about it yesterday on sad reminders forum.
  4. I believe that all preorders there tell you "out of stock" because they technically are. A few other items did that for me when i checked. So i wouldn't worry about that. I'd be more worried that it has apparently been up on their site for almost a day. So who knows how many orders they got in for it already.
  5. You could take a new order for me and just place it before the other ones. That would work great for me! Seriously though there probably isn't anything you could do that isn't a huge pain. Best you could do is after the fact probably cross check the zips you sell them to to ones they get posted on ebay and ban those users to make it more annoying for them in the future. But I'm sure people will always find way around anything you'll try. Unfortunately flippers are becoming more and more of a pain and i don't see it getting any better anytime soon.
  6. I'm not sure why some people go out of their way to be disliked so much? Dude probably had 0 subscribers but making the site private gave the illusion that he has a solid business which somehow got him a Vice interview which will probably turn into real subscriptions. Smart move. In the meantime I'd start banning ips from any visitors who hit this page to see if we can get rid of this guy or at least make it more annoying for him
  7. It would cost around $200 to find all 6 of these right now so this is fantastic news. $40 would be insanely low considering the individual 10"s all costs between around $12 each when they came out. I would have guessed more around $75.
  8. Nobody knows yet. But ever since Aural Exploits went under the VF stuff has normally ended up at indie stores and online shops like bullmoose and amoeba. The McCready was the only one I'm aware of that was pretty impossible to track down with half going to PJ.com and a good portion of the rest going to Seattle area stores with some others randomly hitting shops here and there. But VF has never sold anything directly to my knowledge.
  9. I'd hope that is where they'll be priced. But if the box cost $150 retail then they are charging $50 or the box and color pressing which seems high. I'm guessing $30-$35.
  10. Being based in the States I'm actually being hopeful that these won't be as hard to find since it won't be a RSD release here. If it were then you'd be guaranteed to be screwed by those flippers who are first in line at the shops. But it's possible that some of these will actually end up online for sale as well as being at the stores. Now I'm sure that they will fly off the shelves regardless, and still be quite hard to track down, but really our odds are much better than a RSD only release. Also I'm betting a very very small amount were sold earlier and as soon as it hit Pitchfork I'm sure those just vanished. So there are probably still 1300 of these out there somewhere waiting for us to find them when the time comes.
  11. my local shop said they've already got numerous calls about this already today. so it's going to be nasty to track down. he didn't think they'd know more until a few weeks down the road.
  12. That has to be a boot right? I haven't seen that anywhere except ebay.
  13. That doesn't come out until April. I'm guessing it may be the last 10" of the Vinyl Films series?
  14. got it. much easier than i expected once it finally showed up.
  15. I'm sure that I saw a post on Facebook a few weeks back where someone posted the preorder link for the albums on SR's FB page and then SR replied saying that it might me a good idea to wait. Which made me think that they may have something more special planned through their website. Natenomm mentioned it a couple pages back but the particular FB comment I remember seems to be gone now.
  16. VF easily puts out some of the nicest releases that I own. So I've never thought twice about their prices. And their customer service is hands down to best I've ever come across. I once ordered something that was supposed to be signed but wasn't and they ended up sending me a copy of something else that was way way OOP without me even asking for it. Even though my order was from Amazon and not them directly. Great folks.
  17. Great artist and a name i don't see mentioned enough around here. On a side note if anyone has a copy of Romantic Works they ever want to unload pm me.
  18. I think that their first album sold out sooner than they anticipated so there was a while it was unavailable while they repressed it. So I expect this to sell fairly well.
  19. About time that got released. But i really wish a US label would have done it as I'm used to paying $12-$18 for their releases.
  20. Their cart is insanely bad. Also i just read that a lot of people who had order confirmations have had their orders cancelled. so they must have oversold as well.
  21. I just got an email from Amazon saying there is a delay and that they are still trying to obtain it. I also got one for my Eluvium 10" as well. I'm guessing this isn't happening but at least they haven't been cancelled yet like the McCready 10"s.
  22. according to discogs only the black is numbered. Same goes for the Eluvium 10" on vinyl films so maybe it's a pattern.
  23. I asked a local store if they had a copy and was told they didn't but then i just saw on their discogs page that they are trying to sell the gold for $30. shit like that will make me never shop there again.
  24. I only paid around $25 total for ( ) shipped to the US from England last year through AmazonUK. So hopefully they'll be available for under the $30+ shipping that elusive has them for now.
  25. Thanks for holding some back for the web. I held off on the MOV press specifically to try and grab your clear version when you mentioned you'd have some of these in that thread.
