You know what might be the best television show out there?  Friday Night Lights.  I know it's off the air, but there isn't a show that can touch it right now.  It's a beautiful show.

    This is so fun.

Hey cray cray, you still haven't answered my question. Why do you even buy records? A true music fan would never buy a record, especially one pressed in a large quantity (large pressing = bigger label = less artist-favourable money distribution). A true music fan would steal the album (greedy labels don't deserve shit), send the retail price amount of cash directly to the band and support them this way. Any true artist would never want fans to support greedy businessmen.

But it seems you are not a true music fan, all you care about is buying records from major labels that have the money to press thousands of copies of albums, and we all know they made that money from stupid assholes like yourself who don't want to steal records and send money directly to the band, but rather fill the pockets of executives who only care about making money to be able to afford pressing thousands of copies to make more money, while the artists are making pocket change.

Man, how is it possible that you can type so much text and have it all be so boring and worthless

I today I realized why when ever I have money in my pocket and I'm not going to school, I almost always go the record store. It's not because I like buying records form their limited inventory and inflated prices. It's because it gives me something to do, I'm 16 years old, and I sit on my computer most weekends not because I want to, but because there's nothing to do, the suburbs fucking sucks. The people are dull and the places are duller it's a sprawl of big box stores and chain restaurants, it's too far to walk and too close for a bus. Yeah sure I could go to the movies, but that gets old, yeah sure I could walk around the mall but there's no good stores and I don't want to spend money. Besides I've done that ever since I got my first taste of freedom and nothing interesting happens at either. I don't know the suburbs fucking sucks and if I was old enough I would leave and when I am I will. Which is part of the reason I don't want to go to college, I'm fucking tired of school, and for once I want to be able to hop on trains, and buses going nowhere, wonder downtown for a couple of hours come home and do it all again after work the next day. I don't know I just wanted to say this.

Played in bands all through high school and dropped out of college because I was convinced I was going to be in the next Pearl Jam. Finally formed a band that gained a small, but loyal following locally. Local paper even put us on the frontpage of their pullout 'weekend' Magazine that came in each Fridays edition back in the day.
On top of playing seemingly Nearly every hole in the wall club from florida to New York at least once and too many times to remember in the VA,DC, MD area. We also opened up for a strange and varied array of national bands such as Rhino Bucket, Cheap trick, and Trixter..yes Trixter, look em up and lol.
We had a few no mame labels offer Us contracts basically saying they were going to keep all the profits, but hey at least we would have a record out. i refused to sign anything that stupid so Toward the end of my run we were making less than enough money to cover gas for the van, at each others throats all the time, and I was writing songs that the other guys deemed too 'angry and not sexy'. Did I mention I was the one punk / hardcore / sxe guy in the band that played guitar in an almost glam hard rock band just because my friends who were the rest of the band asked me to? Needless to say after 2 years I quit.
Definitely had some of the craziest, most fun times playing, especially towards the end. Tried to start bands here and there afterwards with no luck. Finding people that are on the same wavelength as you truly is the hardest thing in the world IMO. Still write and record solo. But only share with close friends and family. Played open mics, coffe shops, book stores and the occasional acoustic club night show solo off and on up until about 6 yrs ago just because the bug never fully leaves you once you do it. Met my wife, got married, had a kid. Life took over.
Now I mostly play for my 2 yr old daughter and she thinks I'm the greatest thing since yo gabba gabba and is my biggest fan. That's all that really matters to me now.

Nice! The Sun Also Rises is my favorite book. It made me realize that humanity hasn't changed all that much in the past century and I found it oddly comforting.

it wasn't finding the cigarettes, it was that his pot was missing. huell bumped into him and took the pot, just like he'd bumped into him and lifted the ricin off of him before. walt convinced jesse that gus had lifted the ricin and poisoned the kid to turn jesse against walt. when it was discovered that ricin wasn't the cause, walt planted a fake ricin cigarette (filled with salt this time) in jesse's roomba.
he basically realized that all that was bullshit, and that walt had engineered the whole thing.

Not sure I want to hop on the 'failed' label since I've felt fulfilled in the projects I've been involved in but I definitely fall under the 'indefinite hiatus' category. How long can someone identify themselves as a musician without creating any new music? 1 year? 2? 4? Right people at the right time creates the magic I feel. Sometime soon!
