  1. That is indeed beautiful. Check this out. It's a new Clan 7" for 50 fucking cents as a customer appreciation deal from Soul Temple. The song's pretty solid too. http://soultemplemusic.bandcamp.com/album/execution-in-autumn
  2. Oh fuck yes. Distal RULED so much that I didn't think twice about paying $40 to get a copy of the 2nd press shipped from the UK. Topshelf is such a perfect fit, plus I'm happy this will only cost me $4-$5 to have shipped. Did anybody else watch the video of the set they did a month or two ago where they played a whole bunch of new songs? Everything sounded just as good as this song, so I'm sure we're in for a real treat. Can't wait for preorders to go up. I was trying to decide whether to buy Banquets or Implants for my second album of the month (only allowing myself 2 per month while broke) but I think I'm going to have to put both on the backburner in case this goes up before June.
  3. I pre-ordered a copy of the Brown Tape 2xLP yesterday here. http://soultemplemusic.bandcamp.com/album/twelve-reasons-to-die-the-brown-tape I haven't seen it for sale anywhere else yet. Total was $25.50 shipped. It might be my favorite hip-hop record of the year so far.
  4. Allow me to eat my words upon hearing the Ramones cover. It's fantastic. I'm even more glad that I waited to order after hearing it.
  5. Not bummed at all that I missed out on the clear since the red seems more appropriate for the artwork anyway. I couldn't care less about the cover songs being different, so I'm especially glad to have a red for $7.25 ppd (as opposed to paying overseas shipping). Baaaaaad ass.
  6. Both colors are now sold out on DBR. God damnit. Can't justify overseas shipping so I guess I'll have to wait for the B9 press.
  7. The Adrian Younge version is very good, but I'm blown away by the Brown Tape version. Apollo really stepped outside his comfort zone and found some new sounds that suit Ghost and the rest of the Wu roster really well. I had to hold off on ordering the original for financial reasons, but when the Brown Tape vinyl drops in June, it will be a must-buy situation.
  8. I agree completely, though mine is the 180g black. There is a noticeable improvement in sound quality over the 7"s. I dig the previously unreleased instrumental too, so that made it worth ordering too. Sounds like it was pre-Benny.
  9. I hope everybody gets their copies in OK condition but I'm afraid that won't be the case. There is no cardboard sleeve, just a heavy paper cover inside a poly sleeve, and they shipped it with nothing but one little sheet of bubble wrap inside the mailer. I'm lucky to have mail carriers who treat my stuff properly, so mine somehow made it OK. I got the 180g black and it sounds great.
  10. I'm pretty sure I've read this whole thread and don't recall seeing anyone say they picked up the clear RSD exclusive version of Elliott (not Smith) - Songs In A Transit Wind. I'm guessing maybe it didn't get done in time. Did anyone even see it?
  11. I'm happy to say I'm all set now, so take my name off the list of those who need this. I sincerely hope everyone who dreamed of owning this as much as I did gets a copy. Thanks to everyone willing to hook the less fortunate up. I can't wait to blast Cedric's freakout on "Cosmonaut" loud enough to blast Marty McFly, his orange vest, and his tiny guitar back about 30 feet.
  12. Don't be so sure about that, homeslice. I don't think there was ever any written proof of this notion, though many have assumed it. I also hope and would think that they will release a standard version, but /4000 is a pretty hefty repress as it is. I would love to see it quoted from a reputable source that there will be another version of this.
  13. I hope you're right, Derek. I know I'm caught up in the hype, but for me it goes far beyond just trying to get my hands on a cool RSD release. That said, I'm not paying over $45 +s/h for it.
  14. Same here. Sorry that is now the 3rd thread I've made that known in, but I'm absolutely crestfallen that I wasn't able to get a copy this morning after waiting YEARS.
  15. Seconded. I'll still try 1234 Go later, but if someone can hook me up before that, I'd feel much more secure.
  16. Thanks a shit ton. I assume you mean midnight PST/3AM EST, correct? I'll set an alarm for that, fuck it. It has been my holy grail for years, and it was only a couple of highly improbable concurrent technical issues that kept me from getting it from SRC. Wish I could've gone out this year...
  17. I struck out on ATDI - RoC, and I really couldn't be more butthurt about the way it went down. So if anybody in the US (I already know I can't afford international shipping rates on top of the album) would be willing to help me out, I would so greatly appreciate it.

  19. For those who have gone to shows so far on this tour, I would love to see what the set list consisted of. I know somebody said 4-5 songs off YNE and L&F (and I'd be curious to hear which songs off those), but I'm most interested in pre-L&F stuff. I believe I saw some youtube videos somebody posted a link to that included "Footwork", which is fucking awesome, but I don't recall seeing anything else. Also, much props to thejesseb for the hook-up on that Best Buy price. My student loan budget couldn't justify picking this up at the normal price given that I'm fairly lukewarm on it. So happy to have it shipped for $8.47.
  20. Speaking of Chris Traynor (and not to hijack the thread) I wish Orange 9mm's Tragic would've been pressed. I don't think many people care about Orange 9 anymore.
  21. I may end up getting this eventually (assuming the rest of it is on par with the couple songs I've heard) but my god is that cover art prohibitively bad. I would almost want to tell them to ship me just the record.
  22. Will Yip involvement = +1 Garry Cioffi involvement = -2 I'm not a fan of what he did for Transit's sound. Tym is indeed a talented singer and a solid dude to boot. Looking forward to checking this out when I get a chance to listen and actually pay attention.
  23. That Electra print is indeed bad ass. If "Diffuse" were on the record I could probably convince myself to spend money I don't have on it, but the sweet print and "Iron Clad Lou" are not reason enough on their own. I wouldn't even listen to the rest of it. Never did when I had the CD.
  24. That's probably because they don't send hundreds of them out the same day. I haven't gotten one yet either, so take it easy.
