  1. The german item description for the splatter on the uncle m site says "limited to 100 worldwide", fwiw.
  2. Was hoping that this would come out on Graveface, I remember it being announced as an upcoming release. Will need to see how I can get a hold of this one.
  3. My copy should come in this week, have only listened to the singles once up to now. Both "Natural Blue" and "I Live Now As A Singer" are fantastic. Pretty excited for this one. I tried to get into her previous album "Rooms With Walls and Windows" a few times, but somehow I can't though.
  4. Oh, so these have gone out already? Good to know. That Serengeti is really great.
  5. Richard will play some songs off the new record at 1pm EST. You can stream it via facebook. Oh wait, this is over already. You can watch it/listen to it here though: http://www.facebook.com/MargotNukes
  6. Retail color seems to be "clear black smoke" according to a distributer.
  7. What is everyone's opinion on that new song? Not sure what I was expecting, but this did not blow me away.
  8. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to this. $26 for a single LP is ridiculous though.

  12. Oso Oso just dropped a new album out of nowhere, only digital for now, with physical copies coming in April. The Yunahon Mixtape
  13. Julien signed with Matador, they will reissue Sprained Ankle in March and they put up a new 7inch for preorder: The “Funeral Pyre” b/w “Distant Solar System” single is out 3/17 on Matador. http://store.matadorrecords.com/funeral-pyre-distant-solar-system
  14. Reposting this from the vinyl deals thread. On a side note, does anyone else think that the new site layout is terrible? I don't even bother checking the site on mobile because it lags so much, and it isn't much better on my browser. They also removed the record labels from the description in their listings, making it way harder to skim through. Won't complain as long as the deals are great, though.
  15. I can sort of understand his frustration though, seeing how the 50 Spin-cleans from that Amazon seller he ordered in time for Christmas did not show up either..
  16. My 12 favorite albums of the year, couldn't bring myself to rank them: Bellows - Fist & Palm Deer Leap - Impermanence Dikembe - Hail Something Emma Ruth Rundle - Marked For Death Hello Shark - Delicate Hotelier - Goodness Human Hands - Morning Sun Mothers - When You Walk A Long Distance You Are Tired Signals Midwest - At This Age Told Slant - Going By Tyler Daniel Bean - On Days Soon To Pass TW Walsh - Fruitless Research
  17. Thanks for your thorough reply! I agree with you in the sense that the first half of the record really is way better than the second, so 10 or 11 songs max would definitely have been better. It doesn't really help him that we all hold him to Weakerthans standards, so making a record that is as engaging as any of their albums is quite a difficult task.
  18. @kylekrische Can you elaborate on why the new John K Samson is a big letdown for you? I'm genuinely curious. I feel it could have benefited from cutting a few songs that seem to drag (Carrie Ends The Call, Quiz Night...), but other than that, I really love most of the songs. Those 4 opening songs are just perfect, in my opinion. And this is coming from someone who couldn't really get into Provincial.
  19. Got my blue today as well. Flimsy UK mailer + record shipped inside the cover equals major damage to the spine unfortunately.
  20. Well, that sucks big time. Just a few months ago our national postal office decided that they will tack on an additional 15€ fee to any package you have to pay VAT on (for their hard work reading the customs declaration), and now this. Seems like in the future the only viable way to continue buying records from outside the EU will be to have a friend who will consolidate all your purchases in one big package, or to use one of those shipping forwarders who consolidate your stuff as well. Thanks for pointing this out, Slinch.
  21. Even though our junior musicians don't think that there is much going on musically on this album, you can still go buy a transcriptions and tablature book for it now. Ships end of December: https://www.hellomerch.com/collections/american-football/products/american-football-transcriptions-and-tablature-book
