So I had a creature club account when it was around. I remember they sent us a suspending disbelief demo and it came with this document about the story behind linden house basement. So this will give some insight on where all these juturna pre production demos were recorded and came together. The demo for suspending disbelief is amazing though. Can't wait to hear the rest of these. Anyways.. Here is the deal about why they probably changed it from creek house to linden..

"This is the original demo for suspending disbelief.  This song always had a really special vibe to it.  Listening to this demo puts me right there in the basement at Linden ave. where the five us first started writing songs together.  This demo in particular really sounds like that basement felt.  Very airy and moody and dark.  Most of the guitar riffs that I'm playing came from us just jamming on this for hours although I think the little intro riff was something I already had.  One of my main issues as a guitar player is trying not to play something that sounds like someone else so I had to keep telling myself that some of my riffs in this jam didn't sound that much like Tool so I could actually press on and make progress with it.  That seems to be a recurring thing with me.  I feel like it's important to wear your influences and be proud of them but I don't want to rewrite anyone else's music.  It's interesting to see how some of the changes we made affected this song.  One thing we did for the studio version was cut the second verse by a few bars, so you can hear a couple of vocal lines here that we later took out that are really cool.  The jam at the end was something we really liked playing back then.  The band was really getting to know each other musically so it was a lot of fun for us to just sit in a groove like this and let it develop and see where it would take us.  This one was particularly patient and very trancelike for me and another one of those things that I'm sure we played for hours.  That basement was old and unfinished.  It had a low ceiling and hardly any light.  Sometimes one of us would be working and someone upstairs would switch off the basement light not realizing anyone was down there and it was hard not to immediately feel a chill running down your spine.  The line, "Twilight Army" became the name of our first headlining tour and is still one of my favorite phrases that anthony has ever given us.  It really reminds me of the way we would all just wander out into the night together as a new band of brothers and see where the world would take us. -brendan
It always crushed me that we didn't put this song on Juturna. It was just one of those, I don't wanna fight about it kind of situations.  But it really is such a cool song.  If there was one thing represented by Anthony's lyrics that I wanted out there it was in the line "We Understand What It Means To Break Down." All in all there is a lot of nostalgia to be found when I listen to this demo.  I remember being so thrilled when we were putting this song together and how much I loved to rehearse it.  t just felt awesome to play...  It felt like such a badass of a song.  The long and creepy ebow intro, the off time John Bonham groove in the second verse, the emotional tone of the chorus... It all made me feel like what we were doing was exactly inline with what we desired to be. -colin"

yeah the 2xlp mention was missing from two variants because #morningssuck. For those curious, the screen print will be black on white with a small flap that folds over and is hand numbers /200. The emphasis on white hopefully makes a little more sense. Thanks for the support everyone!

I want to say 1000? I thought someone earlier asked kings road and had mentioned that. Also, mine should be here today! So excited to listen to this. Seeing him on the 27th of May. Wish I could catch the part of the tour with Andy hull and tanner Merritt though. Such a good lineup.

75? I believe the only pressing is brown/gold swirl (the gold is kind of hard to see) and it's limited to 1,000. It's still pretty hard to find though.

Couldn't have said it better. At the time this came out I remember I had boughten my first 7 string guitar because of wanting to learn hexagram after seeing Steph play it on the bonus content is the cd. This album really hits home in a production and nostalgic sense. Anniversary and deathblow are still probably some of my favorite tracks they've ever written.

Well around the fur and white pony was what got me into them when I was younger and both are incredible albums but something about the s/t album hooked me in and hasn't left since. I'll never forget the first time I heard hexagram and anniversary of an uninteresting event. Deathblow and Minerva are my next favorites off the album. Just the feel to this album is so perfect. Then again, it is hard to pick favorites with this band. I can't wait to see what they come out with for SNW and white pony.

Scranton, PA indie punks Tigers Jaw have brought their talents to the studio for an intimate and rewarding experience on their new release, Studio 4 Acoustic Session. Recorded in front of a live studio audience by Will Yip (Circa Survive, Title Fight), Ben Walsh and Brianna Collins bring listeners into an intimate space with renditions of fan favorite tracks from albums past. The 13 song LP swells with melodic, acoustic versions of painful stories of heartbreak like “Hum” and “Plane vs. Tank vs. Submarine,” and the hard-hitting life lessons found in “Never Saw it Coming,” touching on new and old songs alike. Pensive riffs and quiet melodies teeter delicately between their raw alternative sound and their minimalist indie side. With only personal dedications, poignant harmonies, and soft guitar by the two leads, Studio 4 Acoustic Session exposes Tigers Jaw to their fans in an unparalleled way.

Some of my record stores who carry additional record supplies (poly bags, inner sleeves, etc.) has some larger ones I just had to call around and then get the biggest size. I needed one for fall of troys manipulator with the 4 panel foldout. Otherwise I'm sure you can find some online.

Completely agree with this. I work in retail too and as I and many others do our best to help and accommodate people it really is up to the consumer to get up and just do their part. Especially for rsd there is no way of knowing if you're going to get what you've ordered in until the day or two before. Regardless of how many people call however many shops there will always be a line of people ready and prepared for whatever release they're looking for.

Juturna90 reacted to roboticempire in Robotic Empire announces second Nirvana tribute, "Whatever Nevermind"
We are extremely stoked to announce our second tribute to Nirvana, this time with their breakout Nevermind album being covered in full by a diverse range of bands. The new tribute LP, titled Whatever Nevermind, is being released April 18th in conjunction with Record Store Day 2015, and sees diverse contributions from Boris, Cave In, Circa Survive, Kylesa, La Dispute, Nothing, Pygmy Lush, Thou, Torche, Touche Amore, White Reaper, Wrong and Young Widows.

The lineup assembled for Whatever Nevermind has some of our favorite active bands running Nirvana's classics through their own creative filters. What they've come up with is a great merging of individual style with a nod to the influence of 'grunge'.

Nirvana clearly doesn't need further accolade; they've been inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame, are known by most music fans on the planet, and are one of the all-time greats. That being said, Nirvana helped shape our tastes and of countless musicians we respect, and to pay even a slight homage to them in return is a privilege. Working with the amazing range of talents involved here, including several return contributors from the first tribute LP, is an absolute honor, and we can't wait for people to hear the results.

Circa Survive's take on 'Drain You' premieres today via Alternative Press and can be heard here:

    http://www.altpress.com/features/entry/circa_survive_cover_nirvanas_drain_you_exclusive

On their method of tackling the project, Brendan from Circa Survive says:

"There are different ways to approach covering a band. For us, doing a Nirvana song takes us back to a very raw place that we were in when we were young and just falling in love with music. We didn't want to say 'here's what this song would've sounded like if Circa wrote it'. It was way more fun for us to live in their energy and pay homage to their influence by just rocking the shit out of it and keeping it raw."

The vinyl edition of Whatever Nevermind is being released as a 12" + bonus 7" combined, with artwork inspired by and mutated from the original album, and includes a high-quality digital download. Record Store Day 2015 will see an exclusive color-vinyl edition accompanied by a large poster, akin to the 2014 RSD release of In Utero: In Tribute.

The tribute will also be available April 18th to download/stream from all digital outlets, with digital pre-orders now available from iTunes including immediate availability of Circa Survive's cover of 'Drain You':

    https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/whatever-nevermind-tribute/id973746631

Last year's In Utero: In Tribute vinyl sold out on release day, the digital version received a spotlight on the iTunes storefront and received coverage across high-profile media including Alternative Press, SPIN and The Guardian.

As Robotic Empire's 100th release, "In Utero: In Tribute" concluded an oft-rumored, elusive 7-year project. Just one year later, the catalog number for followup homage "Whatever Nevermind" appropriately lands at Robo 116, as the label celebrates its 16th year of existence with this release. We couldn't be more proud and excited to present this to you!
