If you havent heard about this yet, small michigan label "Off Cloud Nine" put out the only album of Spirit of Versailles on vinyl.

Also, they're having a nice sale this weekend. Go support them and snag the LP for $7 or the limited version for $10 at http://offcloudninelabel.storenvy.com/
There's a lot of other stuff I don't have a clue about, but if you're from the area you might wanna check out the rest of their bands too, aside from some emo classics for sale this weekend.

When you think Tuna, what’s the first food that comes to your mind?
If you said tuna-fish sandwich, you’re not alone. Canned tuna is a staple in many a lunch sandwiches, salads, and other recipes. In fact, over 50 of canned tuna is used in sandwiches.
But how exactly does the tuna fish turn into tuna in a can? It certainly doesn’t taste the same as a sashimi or seared tuna filet.

Order away my friend. I'm not stopping you. I didn't call them evil....I just know how they operate, I don't care for it, so I don't support it.
My mind works differently than yours, clearly. I don't make much money at all, so I choose where my money goes very very deliberately.

Everything in this thread is pretty lol worthy.
Amazon is evil? What the fuck? So you're telling me I'm not supporting the correct multi-billion dollar corporation when I go to order my toilet paper or my toothpaste and have it shipped to my home? How are you on a high horse right now about never having ordered anything through them? Most ridiculous shit I've heard in a while.

That's a lot of negs for such little criticism. I'm not trying to shit on anyone's parade here. My point is that in an online community that's dedicated to collecting/listening to vinyl I feel that a huge factor to all the dedication we put into it is supporting record stores and independent labels, because they are the ones that keep our hobby alive. To me Amazon is not an option, because they not only take any part whatsoever in keeping this format alive, their grand scheme is harmful to the labels and stores we all care about deeply (see birdwell's post above).
So instead of saving a couple bucks for each record I buy, I rather buy one or two records less each month knowing that my cash actually goes to those who put their heart into bringing that product to my door/store. I do understand of course that horrendous shipping costs can be a huge factor and Amazon know their shit when it comes to that. I'm not saying that everyone's supposed to do it like that, but I do think it's an appropriate enough topic to be discussed on a vinyl-dedicated online forum.
So, sorry if anyone felt too offended by what I said, didn't mean to nag on people.

It's not about being a monster, but making a conscious decision about who one wants to support. I personally don't see two dollars as a good enough reason to actually support a corporate enterprise such as Amazon. 30$ fucking shipping costs are a whole 'nother thing though.

Weird, I don't know anyone who doesn't order from Amazon. Most people on this board (myself surprisingly not included) regularly torrent music, too--money isn't going to the artist that way either. I'm in high school and I don't have a ton of money, so forgive me if saving a few bucks with every purchase is an easy way to save.

That's because you either don't know who you are supporting when buying all your shit from Amazon, or you simply don't care. It's the thing that bugs me the most about this place. I don't know a single person irl who orders shit through fucking Amazon. It's the worst fucking company in the world. At least you save a buck a two, so good for you.

And you get two bucks less. If it's someone you REALLY like, sure. But I have no problem buying from Amazon when the price is lower.

I mean it's comparable in that they are both things that one could easily do without (multiple pairs of sneakers vs. one pair of chucks) but it's something that we/ they collect based on a general interest and desire to have many. When people collect sneakers I imagine they wear them on occasion (same as when we play records), but they probably treat them as if they are made of thin glass (kind of like how we treat records). The dudes I knew had boxes and boxes of shoes. Probably thousands of dollars worth tucked away. They knew where every shoe was too. Sounds familiar huh?

It's a personal moral thing, I get it, but in the big picture if you sold an album to someone for 20, 50, 100+ personal profit, after you die, and they die, and 300 years in the future, does it really matter what the price/profit of it was? No one will care about that transaction, in the end someone willingly payed a price that they saw fit to enjoy the music they want, while another enjoys using the profit that will inevitably go into bills or some other cost in life...or some more shit they don't need. lmao

And then everyone else likes to get nosey and complain about what others are doing in their own lives, and what others are doing with their own money. lol

good lord. the INTENT is where it differs. if I buy a record bc I really like it and I listen to it alot, but then 5, 6, 7 years from now I'm not really into it and sell it, it's acceptable to do so. bc the INTENT was to listen to it and enjoy it for personal purposes. not to sell it for a profit.

    Hi Marc.

I have of those as well.
I added most of what is on Discogs...but someone else updated my shit and it's not quite like it used to be.

I have 6 variants of this PW 7". Does your center label on the vinyl has 1142 or 120 Pier?
The one that I have that is like the one you described has the 1142 address on the cover, but the label has 120 Pier.

That said the original first press with the green lettering does have the 1142 on the center label as well.

Here's an old pic of my PW 7".

From left to right (top row).

1st press, green lettering.  Glued sleeve. 1142 address on both cover and label
Thick stock cover. Lyrics printed inside the cover. 1142 address on the sleeve, 120 on the label
Green cover. Lyrics printed inside the cover. 120 pier address on the sleeve, 1142 on the label
Blue cover. Lyrics printed inside the cover. 120 pier address on the sleeve, 1142 on the label
Black frame around the cover. No lyrics inside. Theologian logo on back. 120 pier address on both the cover and the label
Thick stock cover. No lyrics inside.Theologian logo on back. Label website address on back. 120 pier address on both the cover and the label
