  1. +1 for Largo. Went to see Jon Brion a few months back and Bill Burr opened for 20 minutes unannounced. It ruled.
  2. I recently bought a d 3020 and I love it. However, I'm using it for my small 2nd setup which its well suited for. Main rig? I wouldn't recommend. You'll be pigeonholed on what speakers you can run at 35 wpc. I definitely have always enjoyed the NAD "sound" though, from both new and old gear. Maybe that 3120 will be the ticket for you. Good luck!
  3. Yo ajxd, not related to your integrated, but how do you like your SF 1.5's? I'm leaning toward those as my next purchase.
  4. Jealous. I need a new sub so bad. Easily the weakest link in my setup, but I have such a hard time getting excited about spending money on a sub.
  5. Didn't like this nearly as much as I expected. The fake Robert Plant was too horrible to bare. Will probably keep watching though, because Olivia Wilde's eyebrows are too freaky/entertaining to miss.
  6. I have a RPM 1.3 and use an acrylic mat. I keep a dollar bin Beach Boys record on it when not in use. No complaints here.
  7. ^ Yea I should've specified, I have no idea if Amazon has the best price on Mofi sleeves, just wanted to show you in general what a poly lined sleeve was. There are tons of options out there for all the things I posted.
  8. ^ Thanks! Forgot to mention I'm into trades with these. Straight up trade, trade plus cash, whatever. Obviously I'd prefer to sell and then buy something cheap and pocket the rest with baby on the way, but either way I'll need something to replace these.
  9. Sleeves- http://www.amazon.com/Mobile-Fidelity-Inner-Sleeves-50Pk/dp/B001LQSFKY You could also check out an acrylic mat. Mine cut down on static a ton, by far the biggest difference maker I've tried so far- http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/400439158319?ul_noapp=true&chn=ps&lpid=82 If you go the acrylic mat route at some point, I'd suggest a clamp or weight though, as they don't have any grip. Souther clever clamp can be had for cheap- http://www.needledoctor.com/Souther-Clever-Clamp Good luck!
  10. Wasn't it Talib who clearly poked a man in the eyes after a play earlier this year? He's gotta be stopped!!!
  11. Actually, fedex quote is 152.00 for ground. Way better than I thought.
  12. No I don't have the boxes. I'm pretty confident packing them since my office has a shipping hub built in, so I could borrow some supplies, but at 65lbs each and 64" tall I'd have to imagine it'd be crazy expensive.
  13. Haha I'm down if you're down. Gonna be expensive as shit!
  14. EDIT - PRICE DROP - $1000 I don't know if there will be any interest in these here but figured I'd give it a shot. Just found out my wife is pregnant with our first child! Woo! Want to clear out some space/put some money away and thought these 6ft speakers would be a good place to start. Martin Logan SL3's, cosmetically 9/10, sound great and functioning properly. Local pick up, for obvious reasons, Baltimore area. Looking for $1200 for the pair for VC. Listed for $1400 on craigslist. I think that's pretty fair?
  15. I just had to google "rolling coal"...god help us.
  16. Love the new song. Getting a really strong Bill Withers vibe.
  17. It's crazy how often I read about records being delayed from manufacturing gridlock, especially major label pressings of mass quantities. My band released a couple of records with Bridge 9 in 2013 and 2015 and we got our records on time. And we're about as small a band as one can be, and B9 aren't so big themselves. I would think majors that are spending a ton of money pressing huge numbers would be able to get their records on time more easily than us. But anyways, saw this article the other day. Could be cool. I'd just be worried about starting a business of this nature during what most people consider a bubble. I'd think your average record store owner losing a store wouldn't wipe them out financially as much as it would wipe out these guys, if the bubble does indeed burst in the foreseeable future. But, they're obviously smart guys, so I'm assuming they've done their homework.
  18. Google phono preamp under 50 and there are a ton of results. Art dj pre II seems to be a popular cheap pre.
  19. Almost positive these are both happening.
  20. Considering Velodyne is so geared towards subwoofers, I can't imagine those speakers weren't designed to be used with a corresponding sub. No way they'd put out a pair of speakers with a crossover that only goes down to 85Hz. I mean, I have a pair of those cheap ass Andrew Jones Pioneer bookshelves in my bedroom and those get down to 55Hz with a 4" woofer.
  21. Welp, stopped by a shop while I was on the road for work today and walked out with the NAD. About an hour in listening to tidal via Apple TV and couldn't be happier. Something I haven't seen before; there's a regular optical in, and a second optical in that uses a 3.5 mm jack. The NAD came with an adapter that fits a regular optical cable, and the input is variable between regular 3.5 mm line in and 3.5 mm optical. Pretty rad! Thanks everybody for the input. Onto finding a new phono pre, because this Project phono box just ain't cutting it. Some tubes may be in order...
  22. I could, but I don't use the Apple TV for much other than streaming music, and it may seem weird, but when I'm listening to music I prefer to leave the tv off, so it'd be nice to have two optical inputs (like the Nad) so I'm not stuck turning on the tv to stream music.
