Anyone on the west coast going to any of the tour dates this year? If so, who are you planning to see?
I'm bummed that I won't see The Used and Bowling for soup, excited to see Hawthorne Heights, Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger and Big D and the Kids Table.

There are plenty of non-hardcore/metalcore bands this year. I do agree though a majority of the bands this year could be deemed this. But I still can identify a good amount of bands that I at least would like to see.

I want to go. I havent been in a few years. i believe the last one I went to was 08. Im pissed though that The Used, Billy Talent, Mixtapes, and The Aquabats will not be at the "Cleveland" date.

I think people just like to make fun of warped tour just because its "the cool thing to do". I've gone every year since 2001. Have there been years where there have been an influx of shitty bands? Yes. Do I still have fun going? Yes
 
As long as there are at least 5-7 bands that I'm into, I'll continue to go every year and enjoy it.

I got the orange/green swirl yesterday. Its basically just clear with a lot of orange in it, I dont see any green. Looks cool though.

Hot topic shouldn't have accepted it. It's universals mess up but hot topic accepted it without making sure everything was correct. If you buy something from a vendor so you can sell it in your store you might wanna make sure it's what you ordered. I don't know, I just feel like they are both to blame.

The die-cut sleeves are designed and the first one is cut. This is what they look like.
 

 
A few things. Due to paper size, these will not slide over the jacket completely. I hate it, but that's how it works - instead they are fold over. These are on super HQ paper, and the largest size it comes in is 25 1/4" and I didn't want to sacrifice the paper quality for a slide over cover. I hate slide covers anyway cause it is a pain to get to my records.
 
I will be making them no matter if there are two, or 200.

They will be $16 ppd (or $15 as a gift). I am going to be making about $4 / hr. doing these. Maybe - if I'm lucky. I do this because I love it and thinks it looks super awesome, and if you like it as much as I do, this is a relatively cheap way to get something from me laser cut.
 
They will be machine numbered in the left hand bottom corner on the back, fairly small (not in the above picture). Numbers will be random. Someone will get #1. I will get the last number, whatever it might be.
 
You can buy 1 or 100. I don't care. You can even sell it on eBay. I just want people to enjoy these. But if you buy two, it will be $30 - not like $28 to save postage. $15 per copy. Per person.

I have to test it with the jacket, but it won't be unnecessarily thick on the final version. I was worried about the two pieces of teal - so for this test I made it a little thicker just to be safe.

The logo seems a little jagged around the top curve of the 'f'?
Yes - the way this was done for the test you see above, was a quick run through on the laser. The actual sleeve will be much smoother, and less jagged.

Not playing that game at all. Travis has def said he approves the tests but he also said in that same thrice thread that he requests certain artwork and after that doesn't see it until it arrives in the warehouse. I'm saying Universal/Geffen in this instance are the ones fucking up. How it got out of their art dept is beyond me but complaining that its HT's fault is ridiculous when all they do is retail.

I love seeing the updates in the first thread, but could I make a request? When you post new releases, could you take out the '*NEW*' text from the releases that are no longer 'new'? The list of new ones is almost as long as, or longer than the original list.

I fail to understand why all of a sudden on almost every other thread about any given release there are people shitting on those who enjoy or want that particular records. Just because YOU don't like the particular band doesn't make them suck or the those who like said band any less "cool" or "hip" in your precious vinyl "hobby". Too many people are way overly invested and concerned about what other people like and listen to.
 
Who the fuck cares! Someone likes Evanescense or Linkin Park. Fine. That's their deal so let them and it be. Go listen to what you like and enjoy then. And wait until someone shits on YOU for liking that damn band.

Go click on threads of bands you DO think are "worth" being on vinyl, (which is probably one of the most pretentious things I've ever heard) and spend your energy supporting what you actually like.
