Still a way to go but getting there slowly

Shortly after I bought my AR turntable, I knew that getting it off of the Kallax bookshelf that sits on a bouncy hardwood floor was an absolute must. I didn't like any of the purpose-built options for turntable wall mounts, and I didn't want to go the low budget DIY route, so I asked my dad if he could design a custom wall shelf for me, that included some record storage. This is what he came up with, and I could not be happier.

My girlfriend was assaulted at 17. The one who made the assault was caught 3 hours later. She didn't even know his name.
I would 100% fault anyone for not going to the authorities OR an authority figure. If they don't report it, then it's all heresy and THEIR fault if that said individual acts again because they didn't do their part in reporting it thus preventing another attack.
NO. Being attacked wasnt their fault. Not reporting it is. Live in perpetual shame/Relive what happened for X years and make an anon blog on the internet and did NOTHING or Relive it for X years and make an actual fucking attempt to do something positive sooner than later, knowing you did SOMETHING and have some fucking pride.

I'm not meaning to speak for you and pretend like I know you, but unless you have been assaulted and gone through what you are speaking of, I don't feel like it is your place (or anyone else's) to say what they should or shouldn't do. I apologize for assuming.

There are many reasons someone who was sexually assaulted wouldn't immediately go to the police.  A friend of mine who was assaulted went to the police and they didn't believe her and told her not to hang out with guys late at night.  They then told her that she could get a restraining order on him IF she moved off campus because they can't force him to move.

Because cops have a great record with dealing with sexual assault victims and cases. I would never fault anyone for not feeling comfortable going to to the police for anything.

Also...if we have google and this site is about vinylz....Why does this thread exist?

     -Eugene     I have wanted to make this album for a long time. I first thought of the idea about 10 years ago, originally as a 100-CD album (Somebody said I’d only have to sell 5,000 copies to have a Gold record! Take that, Peter Frampton!). Basically, what began as a half-joke, half-dream that I’d sometimes mention to friends, morphed into a much-more feasible idea of a 10-disc album (I think of things in terms of CDs because I grew up in the 90s, just like 80-year-olds still refer to radio as “The Invisible President”). I decided to start working on it. In general, I make a lot of lists. So, I created a document on my desktop called, “The Box Set CD Blueprint,” (even though there won’t be a CD version of this album, because only Neil Young has a CD player and he won’t let anyone borrow it) and began coming up with ideas for discs. Here are some of them:
 
1) Terrible sound FX trying to actually sound like the thing with my mouth
2) Me crying for 45 minutes
3) Ringtones
4) Whispering secrets to my dick
5) A comedy album to be played for different animals (cats, dogs, horses, goats, birds and even an alligator!)
6) Me yelling at inanimate objects
7) Talking over ocean sounds and music helping someone relax/go to sleep (recorded live at an ocean)
8) Songs
9) Words to Make Love To — Seven Inspirational Sex Tracks 
10) Field recording of going hunting for the first time
(And many more…)
 
Some of these ideas made it onto this album, some morphed into something similar and some turned out to be funny-sounding, but less-practical once I started thinking about what it would be. Though who knows, maybe once I Goggle cat and horse brain stuff (I meant to write Google, but laughed at Goggle and left it), I’ll figure out a way to pretend earnestly that I’m telling them jokes? I just looked up which animals can laugh and it looks promising — non-human primates, rats and dogs maybe laugh, but it’s unclear if they have a form of a sense of humor. I guess I’ll show a rat the movie Pixels and see what he thinks? (Side note — I think people would be much more forgiving to Adam Sandler if he just admitted he was now making movies only for animals).
 
Oh, also, the first disc contains a full set of live standup recorded at Columbia City Theater in Seattle, WA June 6, 7, & 8, 2014.

Being from Philly originally, it's interesting to see this place making headlines. That place is a hole in the wall in the Italian Market, and I hope that they take notice that more people have signed that petition than could fit in there at one time. Reading the original post about those guys made my stomach turn. The fact that people were trying to put those kinds of messages out there with their band and other people enjoyed it is sickening.

All I know is that those boob and ass threads make us look like a god damn bodybuilding forum or something.

I spent 100+ hours riding the shit out of that game. Also bought the cd a couple years ago for like 3€. Alkaline Trio's cover of Wash Away is one of my favorite songs of theirs.

You're a genius. I just found the Tony Hawk's American Wasteland soundtrack at Half Price Books today, so I'm gonna repeat for the 100th time in this thread, that shit needs pressed.
