  1. If I'm not mistaken, Flenser asked for color suggestions through Facebook, teasing the fans.
  2. I believe there will. But only black is real over here
  3. Thing's gonna be huge. Flenser is aware of the whole fuss and hopefully they'll have the funds to press enought copies for everyone. I love this album.
  4. I'm new to EL's catalog, jumped too late onto that wagon (but glad I did). Flenser took my attention a couple a years ago because of W&R and Panopticon but I've always seen them as a black metal label and their catalog never quite crushed, Their step towards EL's kinda brought them some fresh air and also a different audience, so here's hope they'll keep that new leg up and running.
  5. New split cassette up: http://apneicvoid.bandcamp.com/album/vile-process-split-cs
  6. Southern Lord isn't the most reliable label in terms of feeding demand of old stuff represses. Unfortunately. They know where the all the fuss is but they tend to ignore. I was very surprised with Earth's Hex and Bees represses and that was probably a partnership between the label and the band to make it happen. Perhaps the hard times in economy are forcing them to slowly use their back catalog to fund new endeavours or simply pay their bills (the fact that they opened an exclusive Sunn O))) online store speaks for itself) but they still have to reissue Flight Of Behemoth, f.i, which is the only record they didn't care to repress. They also made the last limited Sunn O))) records (the rehearsals) widely available to their online fanbase, something that you'd have to struggle to get your hands on in the past. But getting things worked with Boris seems harder due to the fact their not a singed band anymore, I guess.
  7. US version of Pìnk was repressed by Southern Lord, actually (think it was in red and a variation of pink wax). And since Boris signed with Sargent House, SL kinda moved on. I'ts unlikely at this point that they would turn their attention to the band, as much as there is demand for past releases.
  8. It actually didn't do much for me, neither the album's cover.

  10. I wouldn't go that far, actually after a good bunch of listens, I'd say it's my least favorite W&R record. Black Cassette and No Youth are somewhat better put together, sounding bigger. Might be the hand of the almighty Colin Marston vs. Jack Shirley. Perhaps it's the pace that slows down throughout it and never recovers back. Still, it's one of the darker records of 2014, no doubts. And that's good enough.
  11. Gave it a couple of more listens and it should classify as a grower, hopefully. But still, don't think it'll get the same rotation as Idle Labor. Not even close.
  12. http://pitchfork.com/advance/460-nausea/ Up to track 05 so far. A bit frustrated, I miss the "bedroom lo-fi" feeling so far. It became so... regular.
  13. Band completely lost its track with their last album. And the side projects are far from brilliant as well. I always save some credit for them 'cause their first two records are really good and the third, despite hated to some degree, had its moments. But this new one will set the line between getting things back in track or definitely signing a retirement. About the bass, the video shows Paul playing it, so I guess they must have shared the duty between him and Daniel. I don't think they have an official bass player for tours.
  14. Flenser is delivering as they never did. This track is amazing and the album seems nothing but promising. W&R, HaNL and PfB are all in this years' essential records list.
  15. I didn't get the DVD, neither the download coupon. The latest was probably left behind when the factory assembled that specific copy. But my copy of To Be Kind was signed by M.Gira and both TBK and The Seer included folded posters inside of the gatefolds.
  16. At least it's Mark Lanegan, can't go terribly wrong. I've learned to always give Carlson the necessary room for turns and experimentation, That guy always delivered and he has always embraced changes and new possibilities through Earth's discography.
  17. Part of it was recorded in the famed Rancho de La Luna and the addition of Lanegan makes it both surprising and promising. Yeah!
  18. Thanks, I'll re-check. Coudln't find one amidst those annoying folders.
  19. Got mine yesterday (in a pack with The Seer 3xLP). I was expecting heavy weight sleeves but, still, both are beautifully packaged. For people who got it from YGR: does To Be Kind came with a download coupon?
  20. As long as Whirl keep their guitars massive and loud, I'll keep buying their records.
  21. I would be surprised if they're not 180g. SL's been choosing this format for almost everything they put out.
  22. I really wouldn't know what to expect from BC in the ambient territory. His best musicianship was always related to songwriting in a traditional way while seasoning it with something dirty, twisted or unexpected. His ventures into pure ambient or musique concrete might just end up as nothing more than what 99% of musicians into this genre do, coming up with nothing pretty relevant or at least worth of mention. This 2xLP would have convinced me, for the old times, if it cost around $20 but $50 just seems prohibitive based on the perspective of its musical content and the possibility of making a difference in my collection. A CD, on the other hand, I could go along with.
  23. Been listening to the stream on bandcamp 'till my vinyl arrives. It's one of my favorites of this year so far. Dope.
