  1. Picked both new releases in good-old-black and even added a All Fours to my order 'cause it just felt right.
  2. Not sure what I think about it. I'd say its as good as her previous stuff but at the same time it feels like she's starting to run in circles.
  3. Finally got around to clean and listen to my copy of m.a.a.d. city. Was a bit concerned about your negative comments regarding the pressing but mine plays perfectly. Now I just hope Top Dawg or whatever start pressing Butterfly on wax, can't get enough of it. Perhaps a Black Friday special release?
  4. Any experience here with All Black Recording in terms of order dispatching? Ordered a DFHVN poster this week and I'm wondering if they send you shipping notification or if they tend to send the items promptly or usually delay it. Asked them about it via e-mail but they didn't reply yet.
  5. US: http://sunn.southernlord.com/products/view_department/vinyl http://sunn.southernlord.com/products/view_department/packages
  6. MtaE had no room for Jimmy. Tommy Lee perfomance is one of the highest points of that album and worked pretty well on getting BC focused on the core of the songs, IMHO.
  7. Thanks! I wish there was a 180g black vinyl edition but DW doesn't seem to be very fond of this particular option.
  8. Does anyone know the vinyl color of the 2xLP available from Sargent House?
  9. Count me in. It's not bad, neither frustrating, even with the fact that I wasn't expecting much from it. It just feels (like most post-reunion albums) like it lacks real intensity although you can feel the commitment to bring something decent to the table. And intensity and originality represented a big deal to FNM back in the day. I still don't think I'l end up buying it, can't see myself giving it frequent listens.
  10. Finally listened to my 180g copy. It's flawless. God, how I love this album.
  11. Finally listened to Mamaleek's stream. The album is a big step forward for them, it's catchy and even more interesting than the previous ones. I'm glad I preordered it. BTW I got shipping notification from Flenser, which means both Via Dolorosa and Leaving (yeah!) are on their way.
  12. I'm aware but it was produced by Jack Shirley. Just listen to both production works and you'll easily notice the big difference between them. Of course, that could always be the band searching for a different approach so it's just a matter of what kind of sound fits you better.
  13. The Whirr songs from the split are awesome but they are indeed a bit unrelated to what you'd expect from the band's signature sound. They sound like turned into a regular Will-Yip-produced band that works wonders in a short shot like this split. But in a full album, that would take their whole magic away.
  14. Mr. DiiV was a cooler title, indeed. Expectations are huge, immense. Oshin is a must-have album from the latest years.Still spin it constantly.
  15. I believe the whole b-sides were previously available from their singles. Reprise put out loads of FNM CD/7" singles at the time. Don't think there's anything left from the vaults to dig.
  16. Perhaps the tracks are lengthy enough to not fit reasonably in 2xLP without "squeezing" the grooves.
  17. Didn't do the math but if we consider the whole thing, with the 2Pac end dialogues, are we looking at 3xLP set?
  18. I'll be happy if I can get that Dott / Night School split from Graveface and that Interpol 7". I'm counting on Graveface tomorrow for the first item and leftovers made available online for Interpol.
  19. They've just refreshed with more copies. Got Camera Shy.
  20. Hopefully it will come out soon. Highly addictive release, it's getting at least one daily listen over here.
  21. Got mine yesterday. The album keeps growing, Vasquez took a step forward, it combines most of the best things about post-punk / industrial music.
  22. Syro is incredibly addictive. Aphex Twin wasn't the greatest "band" for me but this one got me seriously hooked. Every listen reveals something different that I hadn't noticed before. The single is also pretty good, Bleep released the download today and it goes along very well with the main LP.
  23. Listened to the streaming and I agree, yeah, it's his best release so far. Doesn't get away from his signature sound but he does shows some improvement in making his music more dynamic.
