  1. Got mine this week, cleaned and listened to it today. Aside of a few pops, nothing out of ordinary, it's an OK pressing. Design and packaging is pretty great, IMHO. Excellent album, left room for future releases from these guys.
  2. Sannhet's S/T is amazing. Been listening to it frequently, I actually had never heard of them until Flenser announced their deal so I chased the previous releases to be up to the band's sound. Can't wait for the new one as well.
  3. Finally listened to the stream. It surprisingly surpasses my expectations. I'd go further and say that it's even better than The Ape Of God, one of my favorites from 2014, if a comparison is worth.
  4. Blacker than the caffeinated coffee that currently rests over my desk.
  5. I'll go with the black, obviously. As black as possible, please.
  6. Listening to it right now. Absolutely nothing wrong with it - by the contrary - sounds pretty good as is the pressing.
  7. This is one of my favorite records from the last ten years. I'm not joking. It's perfect from the very first beat.
  8. At least it's not on Kreation. Looks like I'll finally have my chance to get it in a decent release.
  9. Thanks for the heads up, gkersey. BTW, there 72 remaining copies of the bundle at this point.
  10. I'd like to listen to a sampler of that MASTERY / Valis prior to ordering the package. Can't afford any more shots in the dark,
  11. Looks awesome, they've put some serious work into it, despite the original art being replaced (Suspended Animation was all about going along with the original design). Unfortunately, I've listened to their CDs recently and figured out I've weared out their music. Don't see myself listening to this vinyl monster more than a couple of times, I'm skipping it for the time. Thanks for the images!
  12. Please,do it. I'm pretty curious about general layout / design quality of it. Actually, it's the factor that will or won't determinate a purchase.
  13. The album is solid and is IMHO superior to Oceania, which was already his better move since TheFutureEmbrace. I like the fact that its straight and doesn't leave room for hesitations. The album also benefits from the fact that they're not trying to convince anyone that it's a Smashing Pumpkins album or that there's this struggle to sound as if every member has an important role to be played (something that bothered me with Oceania, I felt that they had this need to make each member relevant to the songs). If you ignore Schroeder's presence, it sounds more like BC solo music and that's pretty good at this point. I'm also suprised that Tommy Lee's drumming, somewhat simpler, fits way better than anyone else trying to emulate Jimmy's style. He just gave what the songs asked for and that was it. The album is good enough to deserve a purchase. But I'll probably stick to the CD 'cause that's the way my Pumpkins collection is.
  14. Haven't got notification but I ordered a shirt along, so that could delay my shipping.
  15. I can't wait to blast those bastards in my hi-fi. Best heavy album from 2014 for sure.
  16. Two shirt designs from the Sway tour over there at their Cold Cuts section: http://www.coldcutsmerch.com/collections/whirr
  17. Buy two different colors and place each one into a different band section. Still, you'll have to choose which band wil get each color.
  18. Probably to piss you off. And they made it.
  19. I kinda enjoyed it, it's a bit (ok, just a bit) harsher. Shed another light over the record due to the consecutive listens I've been doing, but it's still is my least favorite from them. It actually would make more sense if it had came out before Distressor, when the band sounds somewhat tighter and cohesive. Pipe Dreams sometimes sounds like they were flirting with diverse musical approaches, like if the band was searching for their signature sound.
  20. I got confirmatio e-mail as well but perhaps they're just assembling the mailers?
  21. The discussion around old SP vs. modern SP is overdone. It's not a matter of expecting him to surpass or replay his greatest era, but simply to come to terms that although he puts tons of energy and honesty into it, he hasn't being able to be as brilliant as he was supposed to be. ZG is weak, the Teargarden EPs are outrageous and Oceania is pleasant listen, And then you get the reissues and they just make my point even clearer. And no to say that Corgan doesn't deserve recognition: his better work since the old SP retired was TheFutureEmbrace, which BTW is the most significant departure from the sound he's being chasing for his new Smashing Pumpkins.
