  1. Will have to preview it. Them Crooked Vultures just didn't do for me and it was a hell of a lineup.
  2. Got Giles Corey yesterday. Congratulations, Flenzo! The box is top notch and it's great to see such an obscure release getting this kind of treatment. Made my day.
  3. I bit the bullet and ended up ordering both records. I have yet to listen to them, so no word about the sound quality yet. Here's the deal: don't buy it. $25 for a regular LP with a thin, flimsy packaging. Yeah, I could smell greed but expected, at least, a heavy cardboard to at least justify a bit of this "deluxe" pricing. In the end, my fault and won't go on complaining but at least must recommend people to avoid supporting this kind of trick.
  4. At Mount Zoomer is kind of a slow burner next to Apologies. But it's a fantastic album, sounds a bit psychedelic and it works.
  5. Although it spinned constantly here at the time it came out, their last album showed signs of wear as a band, you could guess that WP wasn't their main focus. Hopefully this new era give us an album full of the same energy of Apologies. BTW, I'm a sucker for that debut.
  6. Well, if you keep in mind that Kannon surrounds what they did in their first three albums, it kinda contextualizes everything. It's Sunn O))) sounding as it originally did and for me, that's the whole merit of it. They somehow put things back in the original perspective and to be honest, it's a very focused album with Attila sounding stronger than ever. But I can understand that someone who got hooked up by the intrincated M&D or their further, more eclectic collaborations would take Kannon as a shallow effort.
  7. In Blue Boredom, Sky resembles Kim Gordon in some way. At least to my ears. But that's about it when it comes to Sonic Youth.
  8. Wouldn't say it's better. But it's a whole other kind of beast.
  9. I must be the only EitS fan that wasn't stunned with the packaging on Take Care. Really annoying to handle.
  10. The new music sounds like influenced by Mark T Smith's work with Inventions. I'm not a big fan of Take Care , it sounded a bit uninspired to my ears and with signs that the band was heading into redudancy. So I guess the single is an interesting breath of new air. I'll order black.
  11. Had a recent relapse: - Vince Staples: Summertime '06 2xLP - Stephen O'Malley: Fuck Fundamentalist Pigs 2xLP - Anderson .Paak: O.B.E. vol 1 LP - Anderson .Paak: Venice 2xLP - Kamasi Washington: The Epic 3xLP - Flying Lotus: You're Dead! 4xLP
  12. My 2xLP finally arrived. An Xmas gift somewhat. My favorite 2015 album no matter the hype.
  13. He has plenty of work on his bag that understandably brought some of his O))) fanbase down on his solo releases. Salt, for instance, just to mention one. People that got hooked on them because of the crossover with metal would be completely frustrated and take him as a pretentious artist. I like some of his work (some KTL releases and Tempestarii + DISintegration comes to mind) but some didn't do much for me. I think he has an artistic vision and is faithful to whatever is on his mind at a particular time. But I don't agree he's more important than Anderson to craft Sunn's music, neither than Attila, nowadays.
  14. Domkirke is getting a repress: http://sunn.southernlord.com/products/view_department/vinyl There's hope for Flight Of The Behemoth and White 1/2 at least.
  15. I guess most of his side work doesn't go along with Sunn's sound and / or aesthetics. Actually, the music on most of it wouldn't appeal to people who enjoy Sunn O))) for the "heavy metal" side of their music.
  16. It's mentioned in their Fb that the shipping process is taking some time. Also, if you ordered the black wax, you'll have to wait a bit more 'cause they're shipping the coloured versions first.
  17. Got my clear today, along with the shirt, a pin and a poster. I still love to get new Sunn O))) albums in the mail, can't help it.
  18. Song is cool. Wasn't this supposed to come out in that label from the guy who increased pharmaceutical prices or whatever?
  19. Sounded to me like a comeback to their roots, but with Attilla sharing the spotlight. Last track starts as if it was a White 2 track. I'm happy with it, they got almost unrecognizable with M&D and the recent collaborations and Kannon kinda sets things straight. I think it was the right time to put music out this way.
  20. I ordered from my smartphone and it kept showing me an empty cart. Try reloading after you've included it to the cart.
  21. It's gonna take a loooong time until this one hits my hands. Can't wait, I'm still in love with the three singles unveiled so far.

  24. It's up but the content of the special edition wasn't revealed. Kind of a blind purchase.
