While his besmirching of the English language soured me to the point I likely won't buy this out of principle (the only thing he could have said that would be more stupid than trying to use the term "a minute" as something to describe a long amount of time would be if he also said "if you have any questions, "inbox me""), I will give him props for not doing a pre-order and waiting until he actually has his product available before taking people's money. That act almost cancels out the bad one and in the end I bet I do end up buying one, especially if the price is right.
 
So the moral of the story kids is that "inbox" is not a verb, it is a noun and that "a minute" is 60 seconds in length which is not a long time. Neither one of these things should ever be used, let alone when you are trying to promote your products.

The fact that they say "that you have all been waiting for for a very long time" mixed with their track record in this regard makes me think it's going to be another shit 90's band that I care nothing about.
But, we are all still waiting on that Saosin TTN pressing that is supposed to be coming before their reunion show with Anthony. Though I doubt that's what it is. They did do the S/T press though. So maybe?
I'm like the others in regards to Deja. I want it really bad, but I'm pretty sure that's not what it is. I don't see why SRC would do it in the first place. Wasn't it on TCR? Or was TDAG their first album with TCR?
Coheed's Good Apollo is another one like that. Same with IKS. We all have been hoping for it for a long time, and if I remember correctly, the band said it wouldn't happen for RSD, but not that it wouldn't be happening at all. I doubt it, still. Unless they got the rights to Good Apollo from the major label. If EVR had them, I'd assume they'd do their own thing or do it with HT.
The last time I followed one of SRC's "we're gonna announce something soon so here's the announcement for the announcement" things I was severely disappointed.

As much as I don't want to, I tend to agree with you.  Not everything about the new mixes is bad, but the gratuitous echo added to the end of vocal lines drives me nuts.  I'm actually surprised at how different some of the new mixes sound compared to the originals.  Maybe I notice it because I've listened to these songs so many times, but it seems like the Strung Out remixes are more drastic than most.  When I first listened to Top Contenders I thought some of the tracks had been re-recorded.
 
That said, I guess it's not the worst thing for super fans to have different sounding versions of these albums.  Some of the tracks sound different enough that it's almost like getting a new Jim Cherry recording.  It also means the Fat color represses of ADIP and TBD from a few years ago will still have an important place in the collections of Strung Out fans.

They should make sure to spell the name of the album correctly.
PS: my "entry"

Pretty sure the fact that:
1) Aenema has been OOP on vinyl for almost two decades now,
2) Lateralus has only been pressed as a picture disc, and
3) 10,000 Days never even GOT a vinyl press
 
...means that Tool really doesn't give two shits about vinyl.

I love this album but I'm going to pass for now. Hopefully I can grab it on black when its in the clearance section down the road.
