It only took 60% of the members quitting and for the band to not be so great anymore, but I finally was able to pre-order a colored pressing of a Gimmes record.

Classic scam. Seller sends a “sealed” copy assuming the buyer doesn’t listen to records. When buyer does open turns out no vinyl, just a bunch of banana peels.

Ugh I’m sorry man.  I want to play it so bad.  I’ll see how I’m feeling once I finish Spider-Man.  Maybe the hype will get to be too much.  But I really hate paying more than like $20-$25 for digital games.

Minor Threat Out of Step Outtakes preorder was announced today.  The Dischord website has been jacked up all day, but you can order it from the bandcamp.

In January 1983, Minor Threat went into Inner Ear Studio for the first time as a five-piece (Brian Baker had moved from bass to second guitar and Steve Hansgen was now playing bass). They had six new songs that would end up being the center piece of what became the Out of Step 12" EP. The band had also decided to re-record the song "Out of Step" with some extra language to try to clarify the lyrics, as well as "Cashing In", a tongue-in-cheek song about the DC punk scene which they had only played live once. After much debate, "Cashing In" was added as a hidden track on the original vinyl release though not listed on the cover or label. There was still blank tape on the reel, so they decided to record an instrumental with the working title, "Addams Family" and then recorded new versions of "In My Eyes" and "Filler" to hear what they sounded like with two guitars. "Addams Family" ended up being used as a coda to "Cashing In", but the other two songs were never mixed and largely forgotten for over 35 years until the multitrack tapes were taken into the studio to be digitized in 2021. Surprised by the discovery, Ian and Don Zientara mixed the two songs along with the complete take of "Addams Family". These outtakes are now being released on a 7" to mark the 40th anniversary of the release of Out of Step.

Just finished Alan Wake 2... well worth the 13 year wait!

I started Starfield... need to get back into it. It started off a little slow for me. I have so many games I need to start/get back into, my backlog has been building up like crazy. Stupid depression and life. 
 
Dang it... I need to talk to SOMEONE about it. We've talked some games in the past, was hoping you picked this one up as well LOL!

No Starfield love in here? I've dumped more hours into that world than I care to share.

I probably say this once a year but if the dude that made the ThunderCougarFalconBird T shirts would do another run, I'd buy at least 3. That was probably my second favorite T shirt of all time behind my Watersmeet Nimrods one.

That was before my time in Seagulls but I would love to play in Brooklyn! Not sure if you saw (here comes the icky self-promo part), but Seagulls has a 7in that just went up for preorder and a full length preorder very soon. The thread should be on the front page still. That's all the thread jacking I can do today. 
 
Nick rules! He and Rory (Current Seagull and Karbomb alumni) have been getting together and making noise similar to Kid Dynamite. I can't wait to see what happens with it.

As a fan of all of those bands (hell I even like later Goo Goo Dolls), someone who also likes Seagulls (@motorbikesaw you guys play with Karbomb in Brooklyn several years back - Nick is a long-time friend), and a fella that likes hearing new bands, I went ahead and copped the LP and the 7" off bandcamp.
 

It always bugged me they didn't really get the hype all the other org core bands got.

Saw Turnstile headline on Saturday. Was awesome to finally see/hear those Glow On tracks live.
Ceremony absolutely killed it. I hadn't seen them since 2009 (on Have Heart's final tour), so that was rad and LONG overdue.
