No prob! There will be more copies soon enough on standard weight black vinyl. Like I said, I have 250-275 or so that the plant screwed up and pressed by mistake (they were supposed to do 180g). Probably do something a little different for the covers. Maybe switch up the color of the paper or ink or something. MIX IT UP.

19 people were shot in Chicago the night before this happened. 19.
Call me when that turns into national outrage.

no, these shootings are just getting national attention. there are shootings every day in poor, low income, minority neighborhoods that get zero attention because they dont affect those better off. no one cares when 3 or 4 people are shot and killed in harlem, compton, eastside of chicago, camden, ect. because theyre "gang/criminals", and no one wants to draw attention to that, just when middle-class people do it, because thats not "something they do". its fucked up, I could go on forever

Thing is, I actually do suck a lot of dick karmamook1; but I don't mean your average amount of dick; I mean, we're talking A LOT OF DICK. You'll notice how I utalized the caps lock feature to really ensure you have a keen understanding of how much dick I truly suck at night. But, that's just the night; we're talking anywhere between 8-23 dicks in one night. But keep in mind, the day time is no time to let the true business of cock suckery go out the window. A true cocksmith must utalize all hours of the night and also the day to truly master the fine art of sucking the mighty man sword.

I haven't responded because I haven't been on the Internet and its kind of tough responding on an iPhone. I plan on responding to everyone later today when I hop on a computer though. Sorry if my response wasn't immediate karmamook1, but I do this thing in the evening called work, it pays my bills and allows me to provide for this thing I'm addicted to called food.

Create a "VC Local" main thread to add to the 4 main ones. The sub-threads would be major cities. Anything specific to a city would go in there (extra concert tickets, ride shares, local record stores, promoting anything you want). When someone asks the question "I am going to ... and need advice on activities to do" they will be targeting the question at locals and also, the responses will be catalogued in an area-specific thread that will stick around for future use. It will also be very useful for the "I am going to this show, who from VC is going to be there and wants to hang out?" conversation.
Look at how much more attention the turntable thread is getting now that it has it's proper place rather than being an overlooked sticky at the top of the main board. I would definitely add a "Metro Detroit" thread to the list of threads I read regularly. When mixed in with everything else, they just get pushed into the old thread abyss pretty quickly and forgotten about, though.

He gets nearly everything in. Become Facebook friends with him and request stuff. He'll get it.
Faster shipping. Only lists stuff in stock (besides a few preorders).
    Seriously.
It's stupid he's banned from here, because he has a better store, better customer service, better sales, etc. If SRC is intimidated by him, they should step up there game and become a better, less shady store.

i like the solo stuff. especially the first album. it's good for what it is. i like to imagine she was trolling the world by writing crap lyrics and putting it to catchy tunes and lol'd all the way to the bank. or maybe she went to Japan and did a lot of coke while writing. shrug.
anyway, we can all hope it won't sound like rock steady but more like any of the older albums. but i have a feeling it will be completely different and i'll dig it anyway.

delivery confirmation dude. keep your receipts from the post office. take a picture of the items before you ship them out. if a buyer says they're damaged ask for pictures/for him to send it back and then you'll refund. people that are bullshitting won't want to send it back. if you're worried about legitimate damage done to the records, insure dem janx.

No Doubt announced the release of their new album "Push and Shove" on September 25th. The first single on the album will be entited "Settle Down" and will be released July 15th. I'm really hoping this is going to be a return to their early days stylisticly. When I saw them in 2009, they played a good bit of older stuff and also a cover of the Skatalites classic "Guns of Navarone". Also Keeping fingers crossed for a vinyl release of this album.

nobodybrokeurheart reacted to mrrom92 in Am I the only one who was disappointed with the 10th anniversary pressing of Your Favorite Weapon?
Well, firstly, seeing as how none of the tracks have their original segues (why?) this leads me to believe the record has been remixed, if the finished master they originally made 10 years prior had these songs linked together. But it wasn't advertised as being a remix, only "remastered". There is obviously alot more than a remaster going on here. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, and I do kinda like that we get to hear a few extra seconds of each track and how they were oriinally performed in-studio.
The audio quality is what really rustles my jimmies here though. The back cover credits the original mastering engineer (why? this is irrelevant) as well as the new mastering engineer and the location where it was mastered. But the disc itself says MASTERDISK, which does not match up with the info given on the back. Da fuk?
Secondly, the audio presentation certainly doesn't sound like it's of the quality that I associate Masterdisk with. I've never heard a record this bad before. The highs are extremely sibilant and splatter everywhere, obviously a bad cut. Sounds like someone played the lacquer before it was plated or something, because the mastering engineers at Masterdisk surely know how to make a good sounding cut with clean high end.
It ain't my equipment, my setup is meticulously aligned to Baerwald, and I use a line contact stylus, so sibilance and inner groove distortion simply aren't words that apply to my setup. Or any of my other records.
This sounds so bad it's embarassing. The pressing isn't much to write home about either. surface noise could be lower, vinyl could be flatter, and it could've been centered better. But all of that could be forgiven if the cut didn't suck so hard. For what it's worth, I have the white vinyl.
    So what gives?

Not sure if this has been posted but found these amazingly simple things that are great to hang your album art (if you are into that). No glass, relatively cheap and easy to interchange so you can continue to play them. Don't have a pic of my setup handy, but it's pretty cool. Only thing I wish was if it was a little more sturdy as its made of plastic, but then again, it only has to hold the weight of vinyl. I'm just being picky, I guess.
