  1. Resurrecting this thread to get some more recommendations and give a shout out to Luna Music in Indianapolis. I think Indy CD and Vinyl in Broad Ripple gets more pub, but this store is outstanding. It's hard for me to imagine that any semi-serious collector won't find something in their want list in their "Collectibles" racks, and at fairly reasonable prices.
  2. I somehow managed to knock a few albums off my long-time wants list recently and am looking to keep that going to see if I can't find one or two more before the year is up. I know these are kind of random, and most of these albums I hardly ever even see for sale, let alone at a decent price, but I'm going to give it a shot. I have a bunch of stuff I'm looking to get rid of, so maybe a match could be made there. Let me know if you can help: Idlewild - 100 Broken Windows Tom McRae - Tom McRae Matt Nathanson - Modern Love Chuck Prophet - The Hurting Business Matthew Sweet - Altered Beast Richard Thompson - Mirror Blue
  3. Off topic, but your Dads story reminds me of when I had Dave Eggers sign my copy of A Heartbreaking Work. I have the version with Mistakes We Knew We Were Making on the reverse (back cover, upside down), so I thought I'd have him sign both sides, but he forgot my name when he flipped it over, so one side is signed to me "at last we meet", and the flip side is signed to "Matt" (not my name) "and now we meet again".
  4. Just discovered this thread and holy shit. I had no idea Stephen Jenkins joined Mutemath.
  5. Nothing quite so exhilarating as clicking "watch" on a few of these, then checking back an hour later to find they're already out of your price range.
  6. These are available again after they fixed a glitch on the site.
  7. I really wish that they would do a video like recent one of Q-Tip's record collection, only of Dennis Hopper's 110 records: http://thevinylfactory.com/vinyl-factory-news/q-tip-record-collection-studio-tour/
  8. Is it specially numbered or anything? Saw some a$$hat selling this for $200 on the 'Bay claiming it was limited to 100 at the show. Just curious is there's going to be any difference between what was available at the show and the ones being sold on Thursday.
  9. Stopped by a shop today knowing there was nothing I was too interested in, but thumbed through the RSD titles anyway and found out that Kontiki by Cotton Mather got pressed. Apparently /300. Great power pop album, so I'm passing it along in case others were not aware.
  10. This was apparently available in white vinyl at MO's Stuffing concert this week. I'm keeping an eye out for it on their store or some kind of official announcement, but if someone notices it going up or happens to have one to sell, let me know.
  11. I know, it's a CD request in a vinyl forum (BOOOO!) but I've been trying to track down a copy of this for a while to no avail. This was a four song EP they released before Committment. If someone has it and is willing to part with it, hit me up.
  12. I really love this album and even I can't pull the trigger at this price. This will be more widely available later, right, albeit not in the "rusty brown" color?
  13. Reasonable question, though I will say my Polyvinyl pic discs have sounded better than most pic discs.
  14. Count me as surprised as well. Picked up the /200 Smartpunk exclusive of Worry very recently directly from Smartpunk and I thought it would have been long gone if he was as popular as this suggests (though I suppose just cause a fan base is rabid doesn't necessarily translate into popularity).
  15. Didn't see this elsewhere. I'm not in a rush for this and want to hear a bit first, but some may be down for the bundles. Cover slightly NSFW. http://atribecalledquest.shop.musictoday.com/store
