One more for the night. If you've never heard of this, it's Ronnie Martin of Joy Electric and Rob Withem of Fine China's side-project, and it's absolutely stellar. 80's-era synth-pop at its finest. (Yet again, sorry for it being small-ish.)

Sorry it's not any bigger (or that good), but... (In a perfect world, it could also be pressed on yellow or standard black. But not all three; just one. I went with pink because I thought it was the best fit.)

Mine's still backordered as well. I'm probably just gonna cancel my order and either buy something a bit cheaper or save up a bit and buy from a different store.

This thread reminds me of the time last summer when some girl on Tumblr offered me her extra copy of The Arctic Monkeys' Favourite Worst Nightmare for free, and when it came it had just been wrapped up in thick wrapping paper. No fragile warning, no cardboard or bubble wrap, nothing. Just wrapping paper. It had been rained on and had sat out in the sun for a while. The sleeve was destroyed beyond recognition, and the record was warped like hell. Good thing it was free. Otherwise, I would have been furious. The extra cardboard on the corners of the LP mailer is a really good idea. I'll have to start doing that in the future.

Except for those 80 or so copies, every copy should be pressed on teal vinyl. Mine is, and I picked it up from my local record store for $15. If you're gonna buy it (which you totally should), don't buy it at UO.

I'm expecting the worst, and have started looking at other turntables in the event that I get a similar email. Still, even if it doesn't work, it was worth a shot. Only time will tell.

Went ahead and tried this too, but I got different CDs, so my order ended up being about $307. Still not too shabby, especially if it works. The only thing I'm unsure of is that every single color is currently backordered, so I'm not sure how long it will take to ship (I ordered black).

Or is it something completely different and I'm behind the times?

Finally opened up my random color variant this evening, and... Not gonna lie, I was sort of flustered. So, I'm gonna go to my local HT tomorrow and see if they have any more copies laying around. Christmas money is burning a hole in my pocket.

I got Fall Out Boy - TTTYG, but only because I bought it for myself. No other records besides that. I did get an Amazon gift card and a decent amount of cash, though, so I'll probably buy a few in the next few days. Apparently, my family doesn't know how to shop for vinyl.

My dad actually gave me a list of stuff he wanted this year. Needless to say, I was impressed. Ended up getting him a new outfit for him to wear to work, and some old guy cologne that he likes. $45 for all of it, because I'm a Maxxinista. Er, Maxxinisto. Doesn't matter, the stuff was cheap.

Hot damn, I'm still in! Still wishing I had figured out some trash talk, though...
