I really want to try making sushi at home, rather than spending $20 at a sushi bar every time I want good, high-quality nigiri. Turns out, Athens is a shitty place to be if you want to buy sushi grade fish, so I'd have to go all the way to Atlanta. Ain't happening any time soon, is all I can say. The price of gas alone is enough to prevent me from going.

If Spartan is repressing it, it's pretty safe to say it'll probably be on their store page. Seems like a logical choice, since they did so well on the first pressing.

I've been looking for a copy of The Bird and The Bee's self-titled album for a long, long time. I've only seen it for sale once, and it was on eBay for $20. Somehow, I didn't have enough money at the time, and I get angry at myself every time I listen to it. Such a shame, because it's an amazing album. I really want that album.

If I remember right, Rostam (the keyboardist/producer/co-songwriter) does all of the artwork/graphic design for their releases. It'd be kind of awkward to fire the guy who basically does everything.

Precisely. They're Lack side tables, $9.99 a piece at IKEA. I wasn't sure about the overall height of the two stacked like that, but it ended up working out really well with how tall I am (I'm 5'10", and my turntable is right at my waist).

The Avalanches - Since I Left You For those who may (or may not) be curious, this is the 2012 repress on heavyweight, dark blue vinyl. I ordered it from an online shop in Germany (mostly because that was the only place I could find it for a reasonable price), and it's worth every penny. It sounds incredible.

After reading plenty of comments on this site and others on how the turntable shouldn't go on the same piece of furniture as the speakers, I figured, "ehh, why not." So, I went out and bought another Expedit and a second Lack side table for a makeshift equipment "shelf." I'll be rearranging the speakers later, I didn't feel like replacing the wires when I set everything up.

Even if it's not the most limited pressing ever, as a lover of colored vinyl, it'll still be quite nice to have in my collection.

Just placed an order from Sub Pop. Here's hoping I get the Loser Edition, but with an album this popular, I'm willing to bet they pressed an absurd number of copies this time around. I'm not really that worried about it.

Man. I really just need the sleeve for Chunk of Change. Anyone know where I can find one? Haha.
