I gave up on waiting on the bubble bursting. I keep getting kicked out by gen z admins from facebook groups for raising my voice against prices while they are flexing with their screen print of a 80 dollar plus shipping noname awful band's /50 wax mage crap and how they are happy they could get it in the 5 secs it went sold out. This shit ceased being about the music and collecting.

Possibly an unpopular opinion, but both bands aren’t good and they both feel forced, rushed and unnatural.

I would just keep using the Vinyl PO board of this forum as your own personal blog.  Seems to be working out pretty well.

This band should have never came back. Each new release is worse than the last. It's really a shame.

You'd be amazed how many newbies in the New Vinyl Releases group on Facebook think $30-35 for a single LP is totally reasonable. I'm with you though, I've been pickier than ever. I'm trying to travel more and this hobby will hold me back from that if I'm not more selective.

…Or did you want a legitimate answer?  If you truly read all threads like you claim to, you’d know that I’m not the only one who busts our bot’s nuts over his low-effort “first!” threads.  Anyone is welcome to, I definitely do not and should not have a monopoly on that.
At the end of the day, this is a forum.  I’m not speaking for the entirety of its users; I’m pointing out that it is literally a discussion board.  If you’re interested in strictly links and announcements for vinyl, consider a Facebook, Twitter, or Reddit feed for new vinyl drops.  (Be warned though: discussions occur on those platforms too.)  Saying that you’re not really interested in discussions here on VC tells me that you’re probably not spending your time on the right site – and also begs the question; why are you engaging in one right now?  Why not continue to be an introvert and scroll until you find the links you’re after, utilize them, and move on with your life?  Why bother wasting the time or energy to entertain this kind of squabbling?  It seems like that’s everything you’re asking of me.  Lead by example or something.
Imagine a future VC where everyone just copy-pastes Facebook posts and Newbury links, and we all just Like or Thanks react to that.  Sounds pretty fucking miserable to me. Way worse than whatever bullshit of mine you think you have to endure.  Just block me if it’s such a big deal.

But I think you’re still missing the point, because outside of maybe taking the piss over an Attack Attack! reissue or a Limp Bizkit PO, I’ve never pretended that I dictate what should or shouldn’t get shared on VC.  I (legitimately) do not waltz into threads to post “band sux, you suck.  Get this trash off the boards” – the viewpoint you’re sharing makes it sound like I am, though.
Not to beat a dead horse but dumping on Wasda’s tastes are a byproduct of him just being a low effort spam bot.  There’s other users who’ve shat on him for just copy-pasting Facebook posts with no effort, too.  It’s lazy.  It’s dumb.  The only merit or value brought by his threads come from pushing his buttons and seeing how flustered he gets.
Granted, I am speaking to the threads I’ve seen or checked out.  Because the reality here is that he posts so many – many of which I have zero interest – that I don’t even bother checking them out.  So I’m willing to accept that he may occasionally “go the extra mile” and post some links and mock-up photos, etc.  But I seldom see it.  It’s literally the lowest possible effort in regurgitating Tweets or Facebook posts.  Sort of like a limp-dick blow of the trumpet to let us all know what we’ve already seen on social media, but with no followup.  “Here ya’ go, you guys can figure it out or discuss details or whatever, have at it, I don’t really care.”  That’s the vibe I get.  That’s what I ridicule.
So ultimately, it has nothing to do with taste or a superiority complex. 🤷‍♂️ I’ll respect the vigor and energy that someone puts into a full-blown thread for a Machine Gun Kelly PO.  Not for me, but if they list out variants and update the OP with links and mock-ups… hats off to them.  But if they just repost Twitter links for Wal-Mart exclusives and literally bypass all discussions of music - y’know, what makes this forum a community and not just a Twitter feed - that’s where I have no problem being an asshole and repurposing a thread for entertainment’s sake.  If you still misconstrue all this with me thinking that “my tastes are better than yours, post music I like or GTFO” then I really don’t know what to tell you.

Fun fact: I’ve always cared about the content of threads that pertain to my interests.  There is no “all of a sudden”.  I shit on you because you’re actually a worthless addition to the forum.  This thread is a perfect example that showcases your sloppy copy-and-dump approach to sharing info.  Look how easy it was for people who actually give a shit about music to contribute something constructive and not just regurgitate a Facebook post.

Just a heads up for anyone going to the future shows that pre-ordered this ridiculous vinyl set in the plexi case…everyone at the Chicago date received theirs WITH NO VINYL. Straight up empty case. Told by the merch people that there was something wrong with the yellow record so they will be mailing the records out to everyone. No timeline or answer as to when. Not sure if this will be a continuing theme for the rest of the tour, but just a heads up, ya’ll might also be going home with a $200 empty case.
