  2. Hey guys, I started an online record store about two years ago, sold on ebay mostly. I recently switched everything over to a Square store. I sell new and used records, cd's and music dvd's. I'm only doing the online thing until I can raise enough capital to open a physical location in Knoxville, TN. If you have any questions, hit me up. We're on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram or you can email directly at WretchedWorldVinyl (at) gmail (dot) com. Most of the stuff is between $8 and $30, depending on the item and the condition. Thanks for looking! http://www.WretchedWorldVinyl.com and here's my ebay user name so you can see some of the reviews i've gotten. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=wretched_world_vinyl&ftab=AllFeedback&myworld=true&rt=nc
  3. Preorders for the Totally Slow//Black Market split 7" are now live in our webstore, so you should go check it out!!! Both bands are really awesome and are some of the best kept secret bands of the southeast. Totally Slow features ex members of Rights Reserved, Eagle Bravo, Manamid, Decoration Ghost and so many more. We released their debut LP in 2013 and it is really awesome, if you haven't checked it out, you really are missing out! The best years of California pop-punk and early Merge Records, rolled into one. Black Market is a little bit newer, but all members have definitely "done their time" in the "scene," for lack of a better way to describe them. Features ex members of Light the Fuse and Run (RVA- Level Plane Records, known for their split with Hot Cross) and Forcefedglass (MA- featuring Ben Koller of Converge). Black Market sounds nothing like those bands. Instead of spazzy post-hardcore or blistering fast punk, Black Market is more garage rock sensibility with 90s punks intensity. Basically loud post hardcore that knows when to get loud, but also knows when to get crazy. It'll make sense when you hear it. The band previously released a collection of their 2013 EPs, "One Year Old," via Death to False Hope Records. Totally Slow will be playing THE FEST on Saturday, November 1st at Durty Nelly's. The band will have advance copies of the split (tests) in a very very limited quantity. If you are interested in picking this variant up, then make a beeline to the venue and nab it up. The 7" EP is limited to 300 copies of randomly mixed color vinyl. The release features 4 new tracks (2 from each band) on the record w/ two additional digital only songs! The digital versions are covers of each others songs. This was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Kris Hilbert at Legitimate Business. Side A: 1. Totally Slow- Blank Paper Sides 2. Black Market- Hangover Hobby Kit Side B: 3. Black Market- No Brain 4. Totally Slow- The End of Air Digital only: 1. Black Market- Phone (Totally Slow) 2. Totally Slow- Basement Dweller (Black Market) Under The Gun Review premiered a Black Market track, "No Brain," from the split, so make sure you check that out as well. http://www.underthegunreview.net/2014/09/29/utg-premiere-black-market-no-brain/ PREORDER HERE!!! PREORDER HERE!!! PREORDER HERE!!! http://selfawarerecords.storenvy.com/products/8899032-preorder-totally-slow-black-market-split-7-w-digital-download-bonus-s
  4. Hey Everyone, I've been toying with this idea for some time now, and I've finally decided to give it a go, in hope that some of you will be into it. So here's the deal: For just $100 (basically you're paying wholesale prices on all releases) you will receive of the next ten full lengths on 12" vinyl (or two 7"s - which equal one full length). So it could be five full lengths and ten 7"s or eight full lengths and four 7"s, and so on. Make sense? Oh and if there is a limited color version of the record (which there is 9 times out of 10), you're receive that version! To make this cost effective, records will be shipping once every 3 months (so basically we'll send you any new releases every March, June, September, and December). Also, anyone who subscribes can hit me up at [email protected] to fill any gaps (that we still have in print) in our back catalog. You can also request specific upcoming releases. Oh and with every shipment, we'll throw in some cool free stuff like distro records, posters, CDs, etc. We've been releasing records since 2006. In 2013 we released 14 records and in 2014 we're poised to hit 13. We're not going anywhere anytime soon, and with your subscription you'll be helping with the sustainability of the label. Some upcoming releases include records from: Iron Chic, Low Culture, Feral Trash, Hysterese, Catholic Guilt, Big Dick, Blank Pages, Earth Girls, Der Faden (Rob from Statues), Sweatshop Boys, Crow Bait, and more... Check it out here PLEASE NOTE: International prices (payable to [email protected]) CANADA/MEX: $140 EVERYWHERE ELSE: $175 Thanks for the support!
  5. I'm super bummed right now. I had so much fun at this venue over the years and have seen many great shows. Via R5: Hellos - We have some sad news to pass along. As you likely know, we (r5) have booked thousands of shows at The First Unitarian Church since 1996. A bunch of now super famous and legendary bands got their first "big break" there.... Arcade Fire, Mumford & Sons, At The Drive In, TV On The Radio, the xx etc. Even Ryan Gosling came through to play at the now infamous venue. In the last few years, we have been fortunate enough to open two dedicated venues, Union Transfer and Boot & Saddle. With these new venues and a slew of other that have opened up around Philadelphia, it's become increasingly difficult to book bands who want to play the church. The church heavily relied on our rental income for the basement hall and since we were no longer using the space as frequently as we have in the past, they understandably had to find a more permanent tenant. In a few weeks an after school group will begin to use the basement hall which will make our ability to host shows on weeknights extremely difficult. We still plan/hope to do shows on Saturdays and Sundays moving forward. We realize that limiting ourselves to just two days, there won’t be many opportunities to present future shows in our favorite venue. So over the next few weeks, this will be our last big series of shows at the church. We'll still have a show or two here or there but this is essentially the last big run. Take a quick look below for our remaining church shows in 2014. We encourage you to come out to a show, especially now that fall has arrived and it's the perfect church show going weather (aside from those gross ginkgo smell balls - we certainly wont miss those). The church has been and continues to be an amazing partner to work with for almost twenty years. What other church would ever let a group called Pig Destroyer play a five days before Christmas? We are forever in debt to them. One last thing, this does NOT include the seated shows in The Sanctuary or smaller Side Chapel. Those will continue to happen as normal. Hope to see you out at the church at some point this year. xo/r5

  8. MURMURS- "Bound" LP / Tape is OUT NOW!!!!! Seattle, Washington's kings of crusty pop-punk are back with their first official full-length album. Last year saw the vinyl release of the bands' debut batch of songs titled, "Fly With The Unkindness". Well, Murmurs are back and are here to kick the goddamn door in with, "Bound". Drawing from earlier pop-punk influences (ranging from the East Bay to the Northwest), the band pushes further on with their dark, urgent & poppy melodic tones. All while churning it up with a chunk of fuzzed-out grunge rock, this time around. If you weren't a believer before, then you will be now. An outstanding effort & one of our favorite records of the year, straight up. (Members of: Snuggle, Pipsqueak, No Hi-Fives To Bullshit, Transient & more.) Comes w/download. 15. I just got this in the mail today and realized there was no topic started for it, so: Teen Death - Crawling 7" Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, TEEN DEATH have quickly made a name for themselves as one of the bands to watch calling this thriving scene home. BrooklynVegan described them best, saying "Teen Death sound like they've thrown Nirvana, Weezer, and Dillinger Four into a blender..." They pack the punk punch, yet maintain an infectious sense of melody, all layered over with a great grungy vibe. While relatively unknown, it's not uncommon for a crowd of back-of-the-room beer-sippers to make their way to the front after TEEN DEATH wail through their first song, making it nearly impossible not to bob your head along. 20. If you lived on the east coast during the mid-late 90s, you may remember these guys - one of the better melodic punk bands to ever come out of the Southeast. These are the last 4 songs they recorded that were supposed to be the beginning of their 2nd album, but they broke up soon after. After all these years, they still sound pretty damn good though. Check it out, you might dig it! http://hearideas.bandcamp.com/album/blankface-ep You can get the 7" here: http://hearideas.storenvy.com/products/8391990-blankface-7-ep-mixed-color-vinyl
  21. Whats up First topic post , so go easy if im not doing it right. Looking for to get my hands of blink 182 pressings, as my collection has become some what pretentious and hipster'ish, i havent got any of my most listened to and favorite albums iv listened to through out my complete teenage years and early 20's ..... and now. Iv always been aware of the prices of the albums but iv been a member of a forum in Ireland for a while and people on here seem to have the same mentality for selling vinyl, not profiteering off others, which is cool, well from what iv noticed anyway. Looking for others too ,The Dead Weather & The Kills Looking to buy the following in any pressings. Preferably the self titled album I would like first and in the following order. Blink 182 Self titled Enema of the state Dude Ranch chesire Cat buddah +44 When your heart stops beating The Dead Weather Horehound Sea Of Cowards The Kills Midnight Bloom Thanks for reading through and hope you can sort me out Best

  23. Joined this forum a couple years ago, but apparently barely ever posted. This is my label. Don't know if any of you will have heard about it before.
