  1. Hey folks. I'm new here, but I've made dozens of sales on other sites (Reddit, deadformat, ebay, discogs), and look forward to seeing what this community is all about! I’m always down to trade if you have a credible internet history, so make me an offer or PM your trade list! Here is my “want” list (this is just off the top of my head… and I’d love to see what else you want to trade):http://deadformat.net/tradelist/thejesset/wants Minimum $5 order (OR really close to $5, before shipping) If you see something that is listed without a price/condition, it means that I have not had the time to properly evaluate it. Some will be NM & some will be well below average condition, but 98% of the vinyl is better than VG-. Just ask! There are no very high-dollar items without a price, so check http://www.discogs.com & eBay to get an idea of what they MIGHT cost (I will generally charge equal to or less than market price). All LP's are visually graded conservatively. Shipping: 1-4 LPs:$4 … 5-9 LPs:$8 … and so on. I ship all vinyl as cheaply & safely as I can, and will issue a partial refund if I overcharge you by more than $2 (gasoline & packaging ain’t free). Double LP's only count as 1 LP (if you don't order a LOT of them!). All shipments are /usually/ made within 1-2 business days after you pay for it… so expect a relatively speedy & efficient delivery. International buyers are definitely welcome (I'm located in the US), but please understand that the shipping will be exceptionally more expensive & that all shipping quotes will take 1-3 days for me relay (I do not go to the post office every day). Feel free to ask any questions. I will get back to you with any information as soon as I possibly can. MANY of the albums listed here are original pressings, but I can not guarantee that they all are. Again, if you /need/ to know, just ask. PS- Any purchases made this week will really help with my bills, so consider this a preemptive THANK YOU! Keep your eyes on this post for a few additional items that will be added in the upcoming days. 2. I know this isn't likely but, I'd pay pretty good money. I'm just starting my collection and this is one of favorite albums. I'm in the US.
  3. Okay, just as a place to have this discussion, here is a thread for the punk rock. As Hipster would say, tr00 punx only...save the Blink, Wonder Years, and Good Charlotte bullshit for their own thread(s). To start off, I have always loved F.Y.P (and anything Todd C. does)...those early tracks are 100% punk rock to me (the samples are so good). http://recessrecords1.bandcamp.com/album/complete-crap
  4. Looking to buy this. If a trade is more enticing, I could part with my copy of the recent repress (sold out) of Third Eye Blind's S/T album.
  5. I know this is a long shot but I'm looking for both these vinyl from My Chemical Romance. - Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge - Black Parade Thanks in advance
  6. I am beyond excited to announce that next month will see the release of ‘Confused' by Gluebag as the latest offering from Framework: Hailing from the deep and storied woods of Western Massachusetts, Gluebag deliver an exceptional collection of luring, blown out sounds with their ‘Confused' LP. Featuring members of SQRM, World Domination, and Crystalline Roses, this 3 piece blends the songwriting of late-60s rock with the urgency of American hardcore punk to create a sound that is far from commonplace in the current underground scene. Originally recorded in 2008 and distributed on a small number of cassette tapes by the band, we're thrilled to celebrate Gluebag's recent return from dormancy with the release of 'Confused' in it's original intended form on vinyl. Fans of Neil Young, Dead Moon, and true punk will rejoice at the existence of Gluebag, and at the absorbing songs found within ‘Confused’. Confused by Gluebag will be released on March 18th on black vinyl LP with download card via Framework. Hear the track “I Am Not Right” from Confused here: http://frameworklabel.tumblr.com http://soundcloud.com/framework-label http://frameworklabel.bandcamp.com/
  7. Hey everyone! My band: Back Alley Riot, has our latest 2 song single up for free download/streaming over at bandcamp. Grab yourself some free tunes! http://backalleyriot.bandcamp.com/album/its-over-for-you
  8. EDIT: Both records finally sold. Sorry! I've decided to sell my extra copies of Nirvana's In Utero as well as Unplugged In New York released by Original Recordings Group (ORG). These pressings are widely considered the definitive pressings of these recordings to-date and I can personally attest that the sound quality, clarity, and pressing quality is absolutely top-notch. I absolutely consider these a must-own for any fan of Nirvana that wants to experience the best listening experience these recordings have to offer. I have one sealed copy of In Utero. This is the limited edition 180g Neon Yellow vinyl that was pressed by Pallas in Germany. Relatively difficult to find especially in sealed condition. (Discogs - http://www.discogs.com/release/4297165) I also have one unsealed copy of Unplugged In New York. This is the limited edition 180g Clear Red vinyl that was pressed at RTI in the United States. This record has only been played twice on each side and has been carefully cleaned and stored in a MOFI inner sleeve since opening it. It includes the printed insert and also the promo sticker that was on the original plastic wrapping. Both the record and jacket are in NM- condition (probably closer to mint but I'm never comfortable listing as such) according to Goldmine standards. (Discogs - http://www.discogs.com/release/2053200) I want to offer these to everyone here at Vinyl Collective before considering putting them on eBay or Discogs to sell since these are rather rare to come by, especially still sealed, and I figured some true fans might find these worth picking up. Feel free to PM me with offers and we can go from there. Thanks in advance!

  12. Hey all, Pre-orders for the new WIld Throne EP are up! Only 1 test press package left! You can pre-order here: http://brutalpandarecords.com/shop/wild-throne-blood-maker-12/ Press release below: Bellingham, WA progressive rock/metal trio WILD THRONE (formerly known as Dog Shredder) emerge with Blood Maker, the debut EP under their new moniker. A mind bending amalgamation of progressive rock, metal, jazzy syncopations and swirling melodies, Blood Maker was recorded this past Spring with legendary producer Ross Robinson (At The Drive In, Glassjaw, Machine Head, The Cure). The album is set for release via Brutal Panda Records on March 4th via limited edition LP and digital download. The music video for the EP's first single, "Shadow Deserts" can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaAw6sAmSvA. Guitarist/vocalist Josh Holland had this to say about the new material: "Working with Ross Robinson on this new release is a huge step for us growing as a band. We went into the studio hoarding a ton of new material we had written since our last release and laid it all out in the open. He really believed in the music and helped us hone it all in and focus our energies on the best stuff for this record. We are thrilled with how it turned out and very excited to release these new songs with Brutal Panda!" The band are fresh off a west coast run with Red Fang and Helms Alee, with additional tour dates set to be announced in the coming weeks. "exhilarating, fun [and] ferocious” - Pitchfork "spastic rock that will dazzle you while subsequently kicking your head in. " - Verbicide Magazine "Still can’t believe these guys aren’t huge" – Songlyrics.com "refreshing and strange and a great deal of fun to listen to" - About.com "Imagine the aural experiments of Sonic Youth coupled with a Sabbath-style decibel beat down." - Sputnik Music "one of the more complex and surprising records I have heard so far this year." - American Aftermath

  15. Hey guys, this is my first post - I read the threads often but have never contributed. I thought I'd utilize this board to help bring some attention to my buds in The Grape and the Grain. They have a RocketHub campaign going to help them record and release a record (go figure!). The cool part for me is, I get to screen print the packaging for the record among other things if they get the goal. I just figured I can help spread the word. I'll attach links below if you feel like checking them out. 20. This is the official thread for the amazingly talented and underrated artist, Ryan Star . Star is a (now independent) rock/alternative artist who has been previously been signed to (and left on his own terms) Atlantic Records and Island Records. Star achieved more widespread popularity following his stint and success on the tv show Rockstar Supernova and his hit singles Start a Fire, Breathe and Last Train Home from his second full length studio album, 11:59. Following the release of 11:59 and years of touring, Star left Atlantic and released his new single Stay Awhile with Island. After a year of recording and no music to be heard, Ryan left Island and released Animals EP independently (digital only- with a small physical cd release to come soon via PledgeMusic). Animals EP truly shows the growth of Ryan as both a songwriter and as a great artist who can compose a cohesive and thrilling alternative project. Ryan, now completely independent, with a very loyal, but fairly small fanbase, needs help to release his new album. You can pledge towards the release of the album right now at PledgeMusic by pre-ordering the album and buying other interesting items and experiences. Thanks and enjoy! 21. For sale is the highly coveted Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon **Solid Blue Triangle** - Harvest, Great Britain, 1973. Record and sleeve are in VG. Posters and stickers, mint. Not original inner protective sleeve. I was gonna put this on ebay where I could likely get over $400 for it, but I'd like to see if anyone on here would be interested first. Send me offers. I'm listing it in a week if I don't get any decent ones.
  22. Looking to make a little room on the shelves and in the dresser. Shipping from Vermont, will ship to Canada (postage costs ain't pretty though). 23. Looking to thin out the collection a little bit. There are a couple more records than this on my tradelist that aren't on here - but don't even try with those. I'm willing to negotiate out fair prices. Currently looking to mainly sell, but I've included some wants if you want to trade. Prices don't include shipping, which will be $3.50 for one record, and then $.25 for each additional. 7" The Flying Worker - S/T $3 I, Robot - S/T $6.50 My Iron Lung - Grief (Half White/Half Red /200) $6 SPLIT - Back When / The Setup | Init #26 | 2005 | 1st | Black /600 $2 SPLIT - Pianos Become the Teeth / Touché Amoré | Topshelf #71 / Deathwish #141 | 2013 | 1st | Aqua Blue /5129 $8 SPLIT - The Critic / Ten and Two | Rayttle Snake #1 | 2005 | 1st | Clear #70/100 $3 SPLIT - The Great Clearing Off / The Sound of Failure | Ed Walters #6 | 2002 | 1st | Black $2 SPLIT - What's Yr Damage? / Kodan Armada | Dead Tank #8 | 2004 | 2nd | Black $5 whenskiesaregray | What Can Not Be Reversed | Driftwood #77 | 2013 | 1st | Coke Bottle Clear /100 $5 10" A Petal Fallen | S/T | Friends Forever #10 | 2004 | 1st | Clear Red /399 $5 Firestarter | Forget the Past | Darth Fader #6 | 2014 | 1st | Translucent Ginger /100 $10 12" Arktika | Heartwrencher | Narshardaa #26 | 2009 | 1st | Black /400 $8 Arktika | Symmetry | Narshardaa #46 | 2012 | 1st | Half Clear/Half White /200 $12 Aviator | Head in the Clouds, Hands in the Dirt | No Sleep #133 | 2014 | 1st | Half White/Half Red w/Black Splatter /600 $11 Banner Pilot | Collapser | Fat #745 | 2009 | 1st | Black $12 Barrow | Though I'm Alone | Mayfly #19 | 2013 | 1st | Clear w/Black Smoke /400 $9 Beau Navire | Hours | React With Protest #56 | 2011 | 2nd | Black /399 $12 Being As An Ocean | How We Both Wondrously Perish | InVogue #45 | 2014 | 1st | Black /1000 $15 Birds in Row | You, Me, & the Violence | Deathwish #137 | 2012 | 2nd | Black $11 The Black Heart Rebellion | Monologue | Smoke and Dust #1 | 2008 | 1st | Black OFFER Broadway Calls | Good Views, Bad News | Side One Dummy #399 | 2009 | Black $9 Calculator | This Will Come to Pass | Self-Released | 2013 | 1st | Black w/Pre-Order Cover /50 $15 The Calm Blue Sea | S/T | Modern Outsider #2 | 2011 | 1st | Black /500 $12 Carpenter | Sea to Sky | Paper + Plastick | 2010 | 1st | Peach Swirl /500 $7 Carrion Spring | A Short History of Decay | Bear #31 / Forever Escaping Boredom #17 | 2012 | Orange /300 $11 The Caution Children | Safe Crusades / No Judgements / And Baby | Flannel Gurl #14 | 2014 | 1st | Translucent Blue /125 $11 Corea | Quien Encuentra A La Madre Conoce A Los Hijos | Existencia #5 | 2006 | 1st | Black /525 OFFER Courtesy Drop | Songs To Drive To; Cry, and Make Love To | Animal Style #40 | 2013 | 1st | Clear /100 $13 Do No Harm | And I Am Now Played Out | Heads Up #6 | 2013 | 1st | Black /250 $8 Dolcim | Guillotine Ride | React With Protest #40 / Sleepinghouse #14 | 2009 | 1st | Black /504 $9 Elder Brother | Heavy Head | Pure Noise #143 | 2014 | 1st | Cream/Aqua Blue/Orange Smash /500 Empire!
