  2. Hey guys, I started an online record store about two years ago, sold on ebay mostly. I recently switched everything over to a Square store. I sell new and used records, cd's and music dvd's. I'm only doing the online thing until I can raise enough capital to open a physical location in Knoxville, TN. If you have any questions, hit me up. We're on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram or you can email directly at WretchedWorldVinyl (at) gmail (dot) com. Most of the stuff is between $8 and $30, depending on the item and the condition. Thanks for looking! http://www.WretchedWorldVinyl.com and here's my ebay user name so you can see some of the reviews i've gotten. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=wretched_world_vinyl&ftab=AllFeedback&myworld=true&rt=nc

  7. The Tombs/Planks Split is 2nd Pressing European tour version. Gold Silkscreened cover, transluscent gold vinyl/200, inner sleeve signed by two dudes in the band, I don't even know anyone in the band's names. S/T EP is on Black Vinyl. I donno, I saw them once and thought they were sweet, bought these and had them sign both of them for me after the show. Not super interested in the band anymore, I like my metal sludgier, and slower which, when I saw them play, the first couple songs they played were just walls of feedback and distortion which was kind of cool...but turns out it was just because their shit was turned up too loud for the tiny venue. I also couldn't really hear for 3 days afterward, but that's neither here nor there. So...looking to trade or sell these, whatever. As far as trades, Electric Wizard stuff is cool. Definitely looking for the s/t album. I have Dopethrone, Come, My Fanatics, Black Masses, and Witchcult though. Uh...Shit. I don't know. The S/T Alkaline Trio compilation, From Here to Infirmary, and Goddammit are all on my want list I guess. Money? Let me know.

  10. HOUSE OF LIGHTNING - "Lightworker" LP/CS is up for PREORDER now! Features Henry from FLOOR. Perhaps some of you are into it. I know it's not for everyone. Thanks and Enjoy! HOUSE OF LIGHTNING is coming – look busy. Featuring past and present members of DOVE, FLOOR, and CAVITY. The death of DOVE finally gives rebirth to HOUSE OF LIGHTNING...Rising from the ashes like a mighty phoenix. The resurrection occurs on Easter Sunday 4/20 in the form of a 10-song, 40-minute riff-rollercoaster, "Lightworker". Hard to hang just one category/genre on their sound, House Of Lightning is a positively spiritual incorporation of heavy metal, thrash, bits of math, a sprinkle of prog, a pinch of 1984, and a dash of 5150. Five years in the making, "Lightworker" is finally upon us. Henry Wilson - Guitar, Vocals, Synth John Ostberg - drums Recorded by Mark Nikolich at Atomic Audio Sleeve Art by Francesco LoCastro 2 TRACKS HERE: http://fairwarningrecords.bandcamp.com/ LISTEN HERE TOO: https://soundcloud.com/fair-warning-records PREORDER LP/CS: http://fairwarning.storenvy.com/ *** first 100 copies are on Blood Orange vinyl ***
  11. Still no word on a US vinyl release, but you can preorder the vinyl from amazon UK. I'm pretty stoked for this release as I am a huge Killswitch Engage fan, especially when Howard was their lead singer. Also the one demo I've heard from this project is crushingly heavy and all kinds of awesome. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Beauty-Destruction-VINYL-Devil-Know/dp/B00IJ1TBBG/ref=sr_1_1_title_1_lp_?ie=UTF8&qid=1394106555&sr=8-1&keywords=Devil+you+know DEVIL YOU KNOW is the intersection of three undeniable talents from the world of heavy music. Howard Jones: the former KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and BLOOD HAS BEEN SHEDfrontman, who garnered two gold records and a Grammy nomination during his decade-long tenure with the Massachusetts band. Francesco Artusato: celebrated solo artist and guitarist with THE FRANCESCO ARTUSATO PROJECT and ALL SHALL PERISH. And John Sankey: drummer for the Australian band DEVOLVED, who has also worked with FEAR FACTORY and DIVINE HERESY. The sum total of the three has come together as DEVIL YOU KNOW, yielding a sound as singular as it is unforgettable. DEVIL YOU KNOW was born out of Artusato and Sankey’s creative quest to stretch beyond their extreme metal backgrounds. The two had written over a dozen songs before even attempting to lock down a singer. “We were unsure if Howard would be interested,” says Sankey.” Yet, when KILLSWITCH ENGAGE’s former frontman received the material, a creative ideal began to solidify. Finally connecting in Los Angeles during the last months of 2012, a highly distinctive sound began to become apparent. “It turned from bare-bones musical ideas into something that surpassed any of our expectations” says Jones. “It went from something we thought was going to be a fun, heavy project into something very real.” It was during a recording session at the start of 2013 with producer and former MACHINE HEAD guitarist Logan Mader (GOJIRA, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH) that DEVIL YOU KNOW’s ideas began to alchemize into something none of the bands members would ever expect. “It became a departure from what I’m known for,” says Artusato. “I wasn’t focusing on technical guitar parts (even though I still love that aspect of writing) but simply on writing what felt best for each individual song.” “World-class vocalists like Howard Jones are the rarest commodity in metal music these days,” says Nuclear Blast Entertainment’s Monte Conner, whose recent NBE signings include San Francisco Bay Area metal legends MACHINE HEAD and European superstars WITHIN TEMPTATION. “Howard has a tonality and richness to his voice that very few singers have. The band’s initial demos got me very excited but sometimes you strike gold. DEVIL YOU KNOW just made an incredible record that has surpassed all expectations. The vocals are everything fans have come to expect from Howard but at the same time there is a depth, dimension and variety to his singing that shows incredible growth and elevates him in every way. Add to that world-class musical talents like Francesco Artusato and John Sankey both as players and songwriters. This is ground zero of something really exciting!” “I had worked with Monte before I left KILLSWITCH and have long known and respected him,” says Jones of the former Roadrunner Records A&R chief. “He has a vision for both music and business that is second to none and made it an easy choice when it came to signing to the label. Monte and the Nuclear Blast staff understand who we are, what we have individually accomplished and where we are going as a band.” While the finishing touches are being put on DEVIL YOU KNOW’s debut album, the writing and recording process “was surprisingly easy,” states Artusato. “When we get together it just works.” The band is also quick to sum up the studio vibe with producer Mader as “intensely creative,” says Sankey. “Logan definitely helped us realize and define the DEVIL YOU KNOW sound.” Jones agrees: “He went from producer, to unsung member, to friend.” “It’s a different style of music for me,” says Jones of DEVIL YOU KNOW’s unique sound. “It’s heavy as anything any of us are known for but I get to do some different things people won’t expect. I’ve been singing almost all my life. Being around good songwriters and musicians in my former bands really helped mold me into who I am now.” DEVIL YOU KNOW’s Nuclear Blast Entertainment debut is currently slated for an early 2014 release, with international touring plans and a full touring lineup to be announced shortly.

  13. Comes out March 18th! Pre-order here: http://pillowscars.bigcartel.com/product/tellusian-collision-lp-pre-order (the distros that carry their Scania 7" will probably have this as well, if you want to save on shipping) Preview two tracks here: http://tellusian.bandcamp.com/album/collision Excerpts from reviews: "Having had the pleasure of immersing myself in the entire record courtesy of the band, I can assure you it’s potently mindblowing metal of the highest uncategorizable eclectic order. Keep a watch, Collision is coming, and you don’t want to miss it." - No Clean Singing "Within two minutes, they accomplish more than most bands attempt in a whole album. It must be rewarding to know how much is rammed into these intense, complex compositions. This is thickened, concentrated grind, not a snare crack out of place, not a vocal expulsion mid-fired. Getting your head round this in one listen is simply not possible. It strides up to you, all prepared rage and knowing exactly what it wants to say, demanding, nay, screaming repeated listens." - ninehertz "Collision is all about several styles usually not correlated with each other smashing together into a one fused, cohesive entity that, despite its short length will force you into a state of schizophrenic shock. It’s not that the album drags you through some type of jumbled mish-mash of dissonance and noise, because it boasts extremely cohesive songwriting despite the progressive and ambitious nature of the music, it’s more that Tellusian are able to fit everything, and the kitchen sink, into an album full of one to three minute tracks. Ten tracks; roughly twenty-six minutes. You do the math." - The Metal Observer Thanks for reading! Mike http://www.pillowscars.com http://www.facebook.com/pillowscars

  16. Hey all, Pre-orders for the new WIld Throne EP are up! Only 1 test press package left! You can pre-order here: http://brutalpandarecords.com/shop/wild-throne-blood-maker-12/ Press release below: Bellingham, WA progressive rock/metal trio WILD THRONE (formerly known as Dog Shredder) emerge with Blood Maker, the debut EP under their new moniker. A mind bending amalgamation of progressive rock, metal, jazzy syncopations and swirling melodies, Blood Maker was recorded this past Spring with legendary producer Ross Robinson (At The Drive In, Glassjaw, Machine Head, The Cure). The album is set for release via Brutal Panda Records on March 4th via limited edition LP and digital download. The music video for the EP's first single, "Shadow Deserts" can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaAw6sAmSvA. Guitarist/vocalist Josh Holland had this to say about the new material: "Working with Ross Robinson on this new release is a huge step for us growing as a band. We went into the studio hoarding a ton of new material we had written since our last release and laid it all out in the open. He really believed in the music and helped us hone it all in and focus our energies on the best stuff for this record. We are thrilled with how it turned out and very excited to release these new songs with Brutal Panda!" The band are fresh off a west coast run with Red Fang and Helms Alee, with additional tour dates set to be announced in the coming weeks. "exhilarating, fun [and] ferocious” - Pitchfork "spastic rock that will dazzle you while subsequently kicking your head in. " - Verbicide Magazine "Still can’t believe these guys aren’t huge" – Songlyrics.com "refreshing and strange and a great deal of fun to listen to" - About.com "Imagine the aural experiments of Sonic Youth coupled with a Sabbath-style decibel beat down." - Sputnik Music "one of the more complex and surprising records I have heard so far this year." - American Aftermath
  17. hello all, i've been working on this for a while now and feel good about announcing it. I used to run a label back between 2001-2008 called This Blessing, This Curse Recordings. I stopped that for a number of reasons but I always enjoyed putting out records for bands I cared about. I finally feel in a good place financially to start again. Below are the first six releases I'm doing with rough dates for release: 2014: CT001 Catholic Girls "Distant" 7" (out now) CT002 Of Feather and Bone/Reproacher split 7" (out now) CT003 Territory "Blowback" 7" (out now) CT004 Hollow Tongue "Time/Death" 7" (out now) CT005 La Haine "As Seasons Change, So Do You" CS (out now) CT006 Oxcross "Tree and Stone" CS (out now) 2015: CT007 Keeper "The Space Between Your Teeth" 12" (out now) CT008 Fister "IV" 12" (out now) CT009 Languish "Extinction" CS (August 2015) There's a ton of social media set up (some in the process of being set up): Facebook page www.facebook.com/crownandthroneltd Twitter @crownthroneltd Bandcamp crownandthroneltd.bandcamp.com Bigcartel crownandthroneltd.bigcartel.com Website (coming soon) www.crownandthroneltd.com Instagram: @crownandthroneltd if you are interested go ahead and follow these Also, my friend Kneeko (who was the other half of TBTC) just started a tape label called Grimoire Cassette Cvlture. 22. Just put up a PO for this 7" http://softspeakrecords.bandcamp.com/album/killing-thing 3 songs, super tight. It was recorded by Matt Very who also recorded the Code Orange Kids song from that 7" they did with tigers jaw/twiabp/self defense family. If you dont own that split you should pick it up super quick. If you like it, Itd be cool if you bought it since all the proceeds go to charity. If its not your thing, or you dont have the money, thats cool too. I appreciate all the help ive gotten from Vinyl Collective in the past. PO available here: http://softspeakrecords.storenvy.com/products/2966649-killing-thing-7
  23. And here goes another release from Solar Flare Records, we're happy to be part of NYC power trio PIGS new EP : PREORDER SLF011 :: PIGS - Gaffe 10" EP (out on 15th October, 10% discount on all preorders) LISTEN TO « If I'm In Luck » PREORDER THE EP HERE PIGS, the New York City group that includes Dave Curran from Unsane, Jim Paradise from Player’s Club, Freshkills and Hellno and renowned producer Andrew Schneider (Cave In, Converge, Made Out of Babies, Unsane, Keelhaul) will release their new EP Gaffe on October 15th via Solar Flare Records. Gaffe serves as a stop-gap release between the band’s acclaimed debut album You Ruin Everything and their forthcoming sophomore effort, still in the works, and also serves to celebrate their imminent European tour along with label mates Sofy Major. Featuring three new tracks, Gaffe, is simple and pure, showcasing a more relaxed approach than You Ruin Everything, but still retaining the dirtiness of noise rock and the sludge heaviness masterfully explored on their debut album. Essentially, Gaffe is another positive step forward in evolution of the already respected collective known as Pigs.
