  1. 100% of the proceeds from this comp go toward sending medical supplies to hospitals and emergency medical services in need, combatting COVID-19. The comp consists of 19 unsigned bands from around the globe, with genres varying from hip-hop to metalcore, to electronic to punk. There's truly something on here for everyone to enjoy. You can purchase the comp here. It's available now digitally, and available to pre-order on cassette. It even features some songs from members of the VC community. However many tapes are ordered before May 15th, 2020 is how many will be made. Here's the track list: 1. D20 - False Girls (Kill Nice Guys) 2. My Sister's Fugazi Shirt - No Stairway 3. Chase Tremaine - Matter 4. The Nice Age - Alpine Camp 5. The Collective - The Unknown (Demo) 6. Heartlistener - Portrait 7. JoDi - Return Of The JoDi 8. Clothing Optional - Melancholy Man 9. Brendan Brisk - Sense At All 10. Hall Of The Elders - Cabin Boy 11. afewyearslater - ...And I Was Wondering If I'm The Only One Who Ever Listened To You 12. Blake Caragh - HumanHuntingHat 13. Conner Messman - Toxic 14. Trophy Jump - Glass Bell 15. Hope Solo - Ship Monaco 16. NOMORE - Stars In Motion 17. You, Me, And Everyone We Know - F.I.N.E. 18. 2. My friend and I recently started a DIY tape label. I know, I know, the world doesn't need another tape label. BUT we came up with this idea to put out a charity compilation to help raise funds for COVID-19 health supplies. 100% of the proceeds would go to Project C.U.R.E. Every dollar donated to Project C.U.R.E. goes towards sending medical supplies (face masks, ventilators, protective gear, sanitization products, etc.) to hospitals and emergency medical services in need. Problem is, we don't have a ton of music to actually put on the comp. That's where you all come in. Are you an unsigned musician, or do you know any, who would be interested in donating a track to this comp? We're looking for maybe 10-16 songs to include in it. Any genre. We would release it digitally on Bandcamp, then put up a cassette pre-order. However many pre-orders there are by say, the end of April is how many we'll make. Is this something you all would be interested in? Is this even a good idea? Regardless, you should check out Project C.U.R.E.'s mission for aiding COVID-19, and donate if you can.

  4. /50 lathe cut http://www.phatnphunky.com/?p=2457 After hitting it off during a tour together last October, 100% and Joyce Manor decided to record a couple covers of The 6ths (Stephin Merritt’s side project/tribute band of sorts), throw the songs online, and maybe collect some donations for charity. I asked if they’d let me do a small run of 7″s and they said YES, so it’s with immense pleasure that I finally get to share these songs with you today. For the 7″s we did a short run of lathe-cut records with Precarian Cuts in Tucson, all hand-made in real-time using old school methods and machines. All proceeds from the 7″s and bandcamp sales will be donated to Planned Parenthood, so even if you don’t manage to snag one of the records I hope that you’ll still consider donating. In addition to donating, we’d also like to encourage you to take action in support of women’s rights, reproductive justice, and access to health care by visiting www.resistancemanual.org, a good resource for information on important issues and how to take positive action. There were only 50 copies of this 7″ made and we’re selling them for $20 each (it’s for charity!). Click the button below to buy a copy for yourself. Please limit one copy per customer. If you try to buy more than one copy, I will cancel your order and you will get nothing! Thanks, damies!
  5. I thought this deserved it's own thread since know one seems to even know about this RSD release. “Live From the WMSE Studios, Sylvan Esso” WMSE releases Second Record Store Day 7” In honor of national Record Store Day on Saturday, April 16, Milwaukee music fans will flock to their local record store to pick up WMSE’s RSD 7”, Live from the WMSE Studios, Sylvan Esso.Nick Sanborn and Amelia Meath from Sylvan Esso are excited to support one of their favorite radio stations, in fact Nick said, “As a long time Milwaukee resident, WMSE has always had a special place in my heart and it’s an honor that they asked us to be a part of this.” Buy it here from WMSE. (unable to link to the store directly. so click on the store tab in the top nav of WMSEs website)
  6. Just found out about this, two most limited variants are already gone. Only one remains, this is a one time pressing.. How this slipped by without a thread on VC is crazy to me (and I have twitter notifications for Soft Speak but still didn't notice until today, whoops). Anyways, onto the links: http://www.softspeakrecords.com/products/571315-dowsing-free-throw-split-7 FIRST AND FOREMOST: The split was put together to support mental health within the scene. 100% of the process from this split will benefit Hopeline. Remember, you are never alone. If you need someone to talk to, call 1-800-784-2433. This split is a one time pressing. When it's gone it's gone. This is a party split filled with party songs. Always party responsibly. All orders come with an immediate download of the split which features two songs from each band and a BONUS joint cover of "Everything Is Awesome" A Message from Erik (Dowsing): "When I was 12 years old my cousin committed suicide. I didn't know him well, and we only had glimpses into each other's lives. Perhaps that's why it had such an impact on me. The first instance of a loss of someone young and a part of my family. Someone no one suspected to be unwell, but all along fought an internal battle and lost. As I became invested in music I found the Hopeline through bands I looked up to and as a resource for those in dire need of help. With mental health becoming a common discussion among our peers, it's important to us all to remember where it all began. Please reach out to the ones you love and if you can't just remember there is help out there for you." PRESSING INFO: Clear: /100 Clear w/ Purple Splatter: /150 Purple: /250

  9. I'm selling my purple copy The Lawrence Arms - Buttsweat and Tears. Information about this copy: - I was the first owner of this - It has been played once or maybe twice on a Denver player in 2009, but never played since. (It resembles Crosley, and yes, I have since upgraded my player). - It has dust on it (never cleaned it) - It has a few light scratches, my guess is from lack of inner sleeve, which was the way it came - It has two deeper scratches on side A track 1. Don't know where it came from, noticed it the first time I played it, so my guess is manufacturing. - The glue on one side of the cover has let go, so it has opened. I guess it can be glued again, but I'll leave it to the new owner. So no, it's not mint, I know that, but there are the details. PM me questions or offers, or post offers in the thread. I will bump the thread with the current bid every 24 hours (I will not post fake bids, trust me). When no new offers come in I will close the thread and contact the highest bidder. Bidding will start at 50 USD, if I don't get that I will take it to eBay instead. The record will be sent from Sweden, and won't include tracking, since we do not have that option when sending internationally. No package that I have ever sent has gone missing. This is my first time selling on here, but been a member since 2010. This is my reputation on Tradera (Swedish eBay, owned by eBay): http://gamla.tradera.com/MyTradera/Feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?ftgnr=891847 (Mods: If the way I'm selling this is not allowed, please delete the thread and PM me what exaclty was unallowed, so I will know in the future). All the money from this sale will go to ECPAT. The money I get to my bank account via paypal is what I will donate. That means I will pay for shipping. I do not work for ECPAT but fully support their work. I will provide you with information that I have made the donation, in the form of a print screened page from their website, if you want me to. I will make the donation as soon you PM me you've received the record or three weeks have passed. If you do not contact me within three weeks (either with information that you've received the record or you haven't) I will make the donation. If you do not receive the record within three weeks and contact me within that time, we will work it out. http://www.ecpat.net/what-we-do "ECPAT International is a global network of organisations working together for the elimination of child prostitution, child pornography and the trafficking of children for sexual purposes. It seeks to ensure that children everywhere enjoy their fundamental rights free and secure from all forms of commercial sexual exploitation." These are my pictures:
  10. ~Angel Park Charity Auctions~ For those of you who don't venture into the Cassette Collective thread or SN/TH Live Tape thread, I am currently doing charity auctions with all the proceeds going to Angel Park. It's for families that have suffered a lose in their family (mainly children). I chose it because the organization that is building it helps out a lot with Johns Hopkins Children's Center. They donate money, toys, supplies, etc. whenever needed. It's also a charity that is very near and dear to my mom. She teared up when talking about it at the start of the fundraiser. At the end of the four mini auctions that I'm doing, there will be a grand finale auction. This thread is where all information about it will be posted. I've had numerous people and labels offer to help out by donating items to be added into the auction. Thanks a bunch for everyone that has either bid on an auction or is helping out. I appreciate it more than I could ever type out. If you'd like to get involved, the more the merrier. Just shoot me a message and I'll send you some info about it. Amounts raised so far Auction #1 - $65.00 Auction #2 - $38.00 Auction #3 - $48.50 Auction #4 - $51.50 Big Finale - $68.00 Total - $271.00 Info about the charity: angel-park.org "Angel Park – a new all-inclusive playground and amphitheater facility in Perry Hall, MD has a very real and personal meaning to members of our community. The name was purposely chosen to represent a vision of an ideal setting for happiness and reflection. This name was selected to inspire support from the widest audience and to build the enthusiasm and momentum necessary to make it a reality. Angel Park began from an idea that came to Kelli and Andy Szczybor after the loss of their baby boy, Ryan. From a sad origin, a bright and life affirming idea emerged – to build a place for laughter, activity and fun, for families and friends throughout the surrounding neighborhoods."

While all cancers are dangerous, lung cancer is among the deadliest, estimated to be the cause of more than 150,000 deaths in America this year. So for the next week, 100% of the proceeds from all sales of their Monoculture LP will go to the American Cancer Society in their ongoing fight to cure this life-stealing disease. 20. got a print solely to raise funds for a charity called ear candy. now a bunch of good dudes want the print, and i only got one, so raffling feels like the only fair way. soooo. joyful noise records recently sold a kishi bishi flexi at pay as you want, and i was only able to afford $2 at the time, and ear candy was the charity those flexis went towards. kind of had a dialogue with JNR on IG, and they were kind of upset about so many people donating $1 or less (and cancelling orders of people that ordered multiples for $0)....so i want to pay forward and help the charity with some more money, on behalf of joyful noise and myself. after i make my $15 + the shipping for the print, anything past that will go to the charity. so yeah. $1 an entry, enter as many times as you want, and ill pull the entries sometime next week. feel free to paypal me, but please put your VC username in the notes. paypal [email protected] let me know if you have any other questions. FOLKS I WILL WRITE ON PIECES OF PAPER AND ENTER.
