runforcover
Is there anywhere else to get the Jacksonville 7"? Didn't the 7" before this one become available everywhere after a few weeks? Sorry if this has all been discussed.
timsimmons
Yeah, it was pretty much everywhere. I bet it starts popping up at places like Amazon next week. Music direct is taking pre-orders now. $6 http://www.musicdirect.com/m-1735-pax-american.aspx

bobfrombob
Just got an email from Amazon Canada to expect 1984 on September 16. So I'm skeptical that it will come at all.
elmark
looks like Ryan's Paxam shop is selling some 7inches. Not the best prices, most Discogs prices are cheaper, but still..hopefully some more exclusive items will follow!
nelso330
wow just listened to the 1984 (digitally of course) and it BLOWS! Every song sounds the same...just can't get into it at all! This is no shock...much more hopeful for the new LP as I love wrecking ball!

timbrh2001
I think we can all agree that Nelson has no idea what he's talking about. That side of Ryan's career has always gotten mixed opinions from fans. I guess some only want to hear the folk/alt-country side. To me, its just another layer of his brilliance. Dude should play Riot Fest one year and do a set of his metal/punk/hard rock side project songs. Would definitely blow some minds. jonnywreck

imaxcowboyx
WHO SHOULD I BELIEVE? I think i'd actually side with nelso on this one (well to a degree. 1984 doesn't blow, but i'm not a fan). I dig the era of music he's trying to emulate, and actually am usually a fan of his other/similar projects like saDRAcula, Finger, Orion, etc. this 7" just ain't doing it for me though. Still trying to figure out why
timbrh2001
Throw Ryan Adams on as a Riot Fest headliner and people would be like, WTF is this shit? Has Riot Fest sold out? Then he goes and does his set and people realize that he's way more punk than all of the teenie bopper pop punk bands on the bill with him. Would be epic. natenomm and agaetisbyrjun
natenomm
It'd be even better once you factor in the Ryan Adams fans that just buy a ticket for him to do his "normal" stuff.
