It's an interesting mix of fuzzed out guitars and although buried purposely, the vocals have the harmonies reminiscent to Alice In Chains. Yeah...sounds odd but it's pretty damn good. The band is called Mirror Travel and I think some of you guys will like them. Lp came out in 2013, so maybe it is old new. I had never heard of Guitaro - Futura Black is awesome! - searched and found where the guy said if all 600 copies didn't fly out the door (2010) he wasn't doing any more. So looks like that's happened, he hung it up. The Paypal link was still alive, so I went ahead and ordered one - $15.99 shipped - we'll see. I've been pleasantly surprised before. Their 2011 (?) was less guitar dense and more electronica, but still not bad. Thanks for that rec! That band "Keep: from Virginia, man I wish that they had just put their first 3 tracks with the new ones and made a 10 or a 12" instead of a 7, as my 7 box is full and I'm getting too lazy to turn them over. After breaking up, we have A Place To Bury Strangers and Ceremony forming from components of this largely ignored band. Now, a fan from Brazil has formulated a tribute to Skywave. Listening to the tracks linked in the article, the unmistakable noise-gaze of APTBS smacks you in the face. Will keep an eye open for you - I didn't go completist on them -- iirc there is a US and UK variant. Love their stuff, they just don't have many songs out when you look at it. edit: I got mine off ebaY $18.51, US version - for some reason doesn't show up on popsike or collectors frenzy searches, and I double checked the YY and OU spellings?
