negavinyl
From the reports that came out of the fest you two dudes are about the only ones who saw him at Roo due to schedule conflicts. I saw him the following Monday in Louisville and he destroyed. Maybe he was happy to be back on friendly turf but we got an incredible performance out of him and the Bad Seeds. I just dropped about $50 on Dig Lazarus Dig US press earlier this year, so obviously it's being repressed. No matter, count me in for all the represses they want to do. The Doctor
Are these still happening? Links never re-appeared on Mute.
tonyfranciosa
They never came back up on Mute or Amazon UK. They are, however, on Amazon US at the low, low price of $57. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M6WFORY/ http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M6WFOZQ/ http://www.amazon.com/Nocturama-Nick-Cave-The-Seeds/dp/B00M6WFOMY/

Eliminator Jr.
I'd really love to see the Best of 2LP-repress happening. Really can't decide on a favourite album, but Boatman's Call, No More Shall We Part and The Good Son are right up there. Although I also enjoy his early and more abrasive stuff, his masterful balladry always struck me the most.

Is there an update on when that first round is supposed to drop? I'm in, assuming these things actually exist.
tonyfranciosa
the dates on Amazon UK are all over the place. Dig Lazarus Dig and Your Funeral are listed as Dec 8 and Nov 10 respectively.

radiatorhums
Rad to see Lyre getting repressed! That was the first Nick Cave album that I'd listened to in quite a while and it resparked my interest in a big way.

Twistedshabazz
that is awesome news. I wish there was a US distro for this. its a hard pill to swallow paying 50 bucks for a reissue...
bobfrombob
Yeah, I'd be happy to see those prices drop (but there are two listings for "Firstborn is Dead" on Amazon Canada right now and one of them is $19)

The Doctor
Man, those US prices are ridiculous! Should I wait for a US price drop, or order these from the UK? Any advice would be appreciated. Very much looking forward to this!
tonyfranciosa
they come out to about $36 each shipped to the US from Amazon UK.... I'm hoping they drop a little in price before the release date(s), but I'm comfortable at that price for these assuming they are pressed nicely. _stretts
Yeah I pay about that for a regular record shipped to Aus anyway, so if they are nice pressings - with abbatoir blues being in the cloth bound like the cd then i'd be super happy with that
weededout
Deepdiscount/ImportCDs has the single LPs for $28.19 and the doubles for $34.19 shipped along with the "other" listing for First Born is Dead (SKU 85254500330) for $16.01. https://www.deepdiscount.com/search?q=nick+cave+vinyl&mod=AP I know they aggregate product info and listings from amazon so there is no guarantee they will actually be carrying these. But first decent prices I've seen.
kamika215
Though I'm not completely ignorant of Nick Cave's work, my exposure had been limited mostly to songs featured in tv and movies. But based on the enthusiasm in this thread, I streamed Dig Lazarus Dig twice last evening. Fantastic. Pre-order placed. So... thanks VC. freverend
Are all the other 90ies albums seeing a re-issue as well??
kamika215
Deepdiscount.com has these for $35 each with free shipping... that's the best price I've seen. Dig Lazarus Dig! Nocturama Your Funeral My Trial I'd be down for Murder Ballads. Yep. Me too.
Sidney Crosley
Amazon.ca has the first 4 albums (Firstborn, Kicking, Funeral, From Her) at $19.42 each. http://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=nick%20cave%20vinyl&sprefix=nick+cav%2Caps For us Canadians/non-Americans, vinyl-digital.com has the newer albums (Lazarus, Abattoir, Nocturama) for about 24 euros each, and with shipping to Canada for two of them (not rushing to get Nocturama), 53 Euros (they take off the VAT if you're not from the EU), which is about 67 USD, or 74 CAD, if you're checking. I don't imagine I'll get them as cheap with shipping.
bobfrombob
Thanks for the heads-up. Firstborn is Dead has been at that price for a while but great to see the others drop too.
