SeeMoreGlass
Glad everyone liked my pick! Such a great movie, but I still prefer the ending to the short story I think...damn the movie ending is so depressing... On a side note my wife and I took a trip with her family to West Virginia this weekend and Friday when we were driving through the mountains looked just like a scene out of The Mist...I was just waiting for some giant legs to come out of the sky or some giant mutated spider to land on our window... Great pics so far guys...can't wait to see what is next!!
Rip
Such a great movie, but I still prefer the ending to the short story I think...damn the movie ending is so depressing... See, I'm incredibly surprised that you like this movie. Mainly because of all the CG effects.
SeeMoreGlass
See, I'm incredibly surprised that you like this movie. Mainly because of all the CG effects. It really doesn't bother me...normally CGI is too distracting because it isn't done right....or it is used when a practical effect could have been better...like when CGI blood is used...I hate it because its an easy fix to make it practical and it looks sooo much better... The practical creature effects would have made this movie look very cheesy and it wouldn't have worked because the story has such a serious tone...I feel like a good director usually knows when to use practical and when to use CGI and that is just a testament to how great of a director Frank Darabont is... jdtg
The Mist wasn't on NetFlix and I didn't want to download it last night so the lady and I watched the new Maniac remake. It wasn't too bad, a little gory for her, but overall I enjoyed it. Also I see why the soundtrack was pressed, it's great. I also finally got around to watching The Poughkeepsie Tapes on Friday night, def a creeper. So what's on the missing sequential tapes? ronniegwilliams
Kill List was my pick for the night. I hope that everyone enjoyed it whilst being a tad bit on the disturbed side.

hallowken78
I've been a slacker so far with this endeavor but tonight is my pick, Vamp, so I'm going to do my best to tune in. Everyone needs some more Robert Rusler and Grace Jones in their lives.

noalarmplanet
Sorry guys got real busy raising the undead! Last night Phantasm was brought to you by Thispartysucks182 Phantasm is not currently Streaming but you should check it out, I liked it! Tonight's film is streaming on netflix, it's called CHUD and is brought to you by Stranaspank. Let's all drink some beers and have a few fears (Maybe tears? Trade you!) (Laughter)
Bladewillisisdead
CHUD is dope. I'll probably watch that tonight because my laptop died officially canceling all the movie plans I had for the month. Here's a list of the movies I've watched this month so far, with little shitty reviews I wrote really quickly http://letterboxd.com/eraserheadbaby/list/october-horror-fest-2014/detail/
Shitty Rambo
Making my way through it! I don't think I appreciated The Mist at it's time, it's legitimately terrifying! I've never seen The Thing until now (yes, I'm embarrassed). Holy hell! I'll do 'The Offspring' and CHUD at work tomorrow on my phone since I'll be out in the cuts. I've seen Phantasm like 30 times but I'll do it again for the boards!
SeeMoreGlass
Phantasm is one of my favorites.... The Tall Man is up there with Freddy Kruger as one of my favorite villains of all time...still need to see the sequels... Just a heads up, I gave an alternate version for my second pick (which was House On Haunted Hill ) and was used for this because it is streaming on Netflix....great fucking movie too... But my original pick was Prom Night II: Hello Mary Lou which is one of my favorite slasher movies of all time (next to Nightmare On Elm Street and Friday The 13th part 4...seriously check it out if you can...its amazing and gets written off because people think its a sequel but it really has nothing to do with the original (which I think is overrated anyway)
