jhulud
Just curious to see if anyone here Stateside ever order records from Amazon UK and how they were packaged. How was the experience? Do they use the same "stress-free" or however they're called mailers? Need the info people!
noalarmplanet
I have and they did arrive in those mailers. Problem is that there is no tracking and you wait forever.
RockPuppetz
I attempted to buy Passion Pit's first LP from there and it said it wouldn't deliver to my address. No other experience tho.
David The Gnome
I've ordered a few LPs through Amazon UK without issue. albert
xadamhudsonx
I ordered the modest mouse reissues from Amazon.uk and they showed up separately and in non LP mailers. Just regular boxes with air packs. Both ended up being ok, but the packaging was less than desirable.
Cloudsbelow
orderd from .co.uk a few times (to canada) .. mailers were the same as .com or .ca.. for the most part. I find when i order from .com/.ca they send the mailer inside an even bigger box.. (redundant) but with the .co.uk they just sent the mailers, which is totally fine with me. kamalatapes
Yessir everything was a-ok. I've ordered Passion Pit and 2 GIRLS 7"s. Some stores that have the item only ship locally across the U.K. but it should be noted on the add cart button thingy way before purchase so no surprises. Waters
The Mogwai "Come on Die Young" came in a regular box with that brown paper stuffing. Outer box- beat to shit. Mogwai box- some how perfect.
rue
Identical packaging is used by Amazon UK as USA
futures
I always have the best service from amazon.co.uk. I've ordered countless things from them, including vinyl records. Never had an issue and it doesn't take any longer to arrive than media mail does.
MtrCtyWx
No probs having two LPs shipped to Michigan. Mailer was a little less durable than what Amazon offers stateside but no damage with my order. The real downside is the auto rip option is not available to US customers from Amazon UK. sinatra.45
Ditto to all else mentioned already. Ordered Iron Maiden's "Somewhere In Time" without issue and it came in a mailer which was packaged inside a bigger box.
ZeroFourNine
I order from them all the time. I will often check Amazon Canada and UK to see if they have a record cheaper, and many times I have gotten great deals even paying the extra shipping. The one time I had a problem with something arriving damaged, Amazon UK refunded my money and said to keep the album because it was too expensive to send back. Robert_Sofa
I've ordered a few LPs through Amazon UK without issue. I often will check an LP's price amazon.com vs .co.uk because the .co.uk will sometime be way cheaper even after shipping. Never had a damaged item from .co.uk either. TheGhostOfRandySavage
Just curious to see if anyone here Stateside ever order records from Amazon UK and how they were packaged. How was the experience? Do they use the same "stress-free" or however they're called mailers? Need the info people! Got my Mineral reissues through them to get the colored versions. It's pretty much just like Amazon US. No hassles, good customer service. My Mineral records somehow got delivered to Germany and they 2-day shipped me new ones for free from UK to here to make up for it. Pretty sweet. benman3321
Ordered several Massive attack albums and each were bent like crazy. No tracking numbers like others mentioned. Money was refunded, but I'd rather have the albums. If better packaging was used, it'd be a non-issue.
jackholexxxx
I have received them both loose in a box and in a proper mailer. Most of the time it is a proper mailer.

Mine were in the "hassle free mailer" inside a bigger box with those big bubbles.
McCandless
I also order all the time but I'm in the UK so makes sense. If you get stuck or need me to be the middle man with any from the UK I'm happy to help.
Family Friendly Rap God
My Iron Maiden box set came in dinged up pretty bad. They ended up refunding me half of it back.

Do they use the same "stress-free" or however they're called mailers? Need the info people! I've had both. Two or three inside of mailers inside of a box roughly 16x13x6 Also had them go missing to only show up three months later, but amazon replaced them well before that.
