PO: Mark Kozelek - Live At Biko

Recommended Posts

Thanks so much for the link. I ordered through Bull Moose as well, but it's nice to have a back up plan when it comes to the Koz, in case they cannot fulfill the order.

Edit: Just got shipping confirmation... I thought this wasn't coming out till March.

They may just be printing out shipping info to get stuff ready for when they actually ship them. I've had this happen before and it's somewhat confusing when it happens. Hopefully they really are shipping them out super quickly for you guys though!

lol - true.... we pay for that with our taxes though....

live albums are not my favourite anyway (at least thats what I'm trying to convince myself of)

If you are speaking generally, I would agree with you. But Mark's live records are heartbreakingly good. In the right venue, the acoustics make him sound like an angel.

I ordered from Amazon & Bull Moose as well. We'll see what shakes out...

I have a bit more faith in this one, since so many Amazon services have it:

US: http://amzn.to/1E7M3om

Germany: http://amzn.to/1CKOWXV

France: http://amzn.to/1BnWsfT

Canada: http://amzn.to/1LcRfay

A pre-order for this has also been added to Soundstage Direct. I was able to get a clear Benji from them, so hopefully they'll come through with this, too. If you use their "LP10" coupon code it only comes out to $23.81 with shipping.

This makes three places I've ordered it from, so if I end up getting more than one (which I don't expect), I'd be happy to help out anyone who misses it.

I want this, but seeing how almost every one of his releases (Ghosts, Among The Leaves, April, etc.) has no indication of being repressed, I am dissuaded from trying to keep up with him. I mean what's the point of having a Kozelek collection if his best albums are impossible to get for decent prices? Has Caldo Verde ever said anything about repressing those?

Benji had a second pressing, but I'm sure at some point they will realize that they should repress them. They'd clearly be missing out on a lot of $$

Yeah I gave up on keeping my Kozelek collection complete. I've sold off most of it and stopped buying his new albums. I'll never sell Ghosts though.

Do you still have April? its the ONLY major vinyl release I don't have (that and the Xmas box)...otherwise I am damn near complete....

Represses for older albums I would say is FAR AWAY if they ever come. As long as he is putting out records on the regular those will take up the "pressing allotment" I would assume for a privately owned label. I doubt he can afford putting up the cash for multiple album pressings at once...Although Mr. Crowe is loaded lol....So maybe once he STOPS making new music he will go back and press to keep that money coming in? IDK?

You don't just buy new releases if you can to listen to? I don't see why not being able to purchase OOP albums would keep one from buying new releases if you enjoy the music.
