bobbyhotep
Just thought I would give everyone a heads up, Burnt Toast Vinyl is selling a new press for Brother, Sister. Here is a picture of what it looks like Purchase Here ------ Credit to /u/Srtviper on the reddit mewithoutyou boards for bringing it to my attention. throwgncpr
album looks black. is it? or some splattering? I'd love a straight up black copy. This is my favorite mwY album, and my pukey-orange copy sounds just OK.

AlexH.
It's interesting that Burnt Toast is still able to keep this in print despite the whole Tooth & Nail/Universal ownership thing.

I wondered about that myself. I sent Scott an email asking about press numbers and if he is selling the tests, but haven't heard back. Oh so is that why they press 5 copies at a time? FlippingOut

deer
Looks a hell of a lot nicer in person than that original picture made it out to be. It's like a forest green/army green split. Really darn pretty. giantmagicpter1
giantmagicpter1
Hey guys, the original picture in this thread is actually a picture I took of my copy of Brother Sister which I did not buy directly from burnt toast. It is black and green and not the dark green and olive green pressing that burnt toast is currently selling. I bought it used and honestly have know idea why it's black but the double green posted by Deer is probably the actual pressing.
donlombardo
Looks good. I have the first press white and the orange marbled... Would trade my orange for a black press (if there ever was one) in a heartbeat.

I kinda feel like Burnt Toast had a vinyl deal with brother, sister and it's all crazy that T&N couldn't sell... On the backside there's no mention of "under license to". donlombardo
Is it this? No color is specified. http://www.discogs.com/mewithoutYou-Brother-Sister/release/2488426
mcpherson123
Usually when there is a discogs listing for an LP and there is no color specified at all it indicates that its a black vinyl edition. It appears that there is one copy for sale under that listing and that seller has added "Black vinyl" in the notes.

I wish they'd negotiated the same deal for the early Starflyer records they put out
mcpherson123
I wish mwY could just go forward with their CFUTF repress that bitchass Interscope or whoever blocked like true major label bitchfaces. EDIT: It's Universal not Interscope though I'm pretty sure UMG owns Interscope and any other associated imprints of it.
