GermyHewmatt
Coming December 4th. Courtesy of SC Distribution. Black Sheep Boy, Appendix and a new LP of blues and folk covers. I for one am excited. They're one of my all time favorite bands and BSB Appendix is my favorite album of theirs. http://www.scdistribution.com/okkervil/index.php?action=add_to_cart&catalog=JAG280lp&format=3xLP&quantity=
Sidney Crosley
This is a weird and intriguing one - I do love this album (my favourite OR album), but they've already released it in a single disc plus double disc (the Appendix), so it's kind of weird to re-release it again, as I imagine many dedicated fans don't want to buy it a third time. I'd need to see what the blues/folk covers look like.
shamrocks
such a great album. i wish this was limited in some way, would love a rerecording or something unique, but Im going to have a hard time justifying buying this given the only unique thing is a disk of folk and blues covers that i will never listen to
GermyHewmatt
It also comes with five screen printed limited edition posters and an extensive book of liner notes. Not sure if that's enough to justify buying it but I'm certainly intrigued. I'm trying to get everything OR has released on vinyl so this is a must for me. I understand not wanting to buy it a third time though.

simple_torture
I'm going to put this on my schedule, but I'm still on the fence for pre-ordering. The William Schaff prints are making it very tempting.
Team Avatar
mogwai covered what are they doing in heaven today, cool! I want this but I'm trying hard not to PO anything, but then again, Okkervil are top notch band for me. ugh!

GermyHewmatt
Yeah, I can't resist either. The William Schaff prints and the extra blues and folk LP are enough for me. I just hope they add some extra Midwest dates to their tour.
Guest
I just started listening to this band yesterday and will have to decide if it's something I want. I love the Washington Phillips original of What Are They Doing In Heaven Today and like Jacob said, the Mogwai version was cool too.
Sidney Crosley
Stupid atrocious shipping rates to Canada keeping me away for now. Hopefully it will make its way into stores around here... I was actually sort of hoping some of the stuff on the extra LP was from the Golden Opportunities mixtape, which I absolutely love.
stillalivetui
That price is a steal for all of this.

I think, ultimately, my favorite album is Don't Fall in Love With Everyone You See. i get real excited when new people listen to this band. My favorite songs not on that album, off the top of my head: lost coastlines black a stone bruce wayne campbell interviewed on the roof of the chelsea hotel, 1979 a myth piratess seas too far to reach so come back i'm waiting ( i never truly loved this song until I heard it live ) the war criminal rises and speaks

Sidney Crosley
Must be the magic of such a good band that most of my favourite Okkervil River songs are pretty different (though they definitely include some of what you picked) Some of my faves not included in your list: Dead Dog Song The Latest Toughs Mermaid The President's Dead Plus Ones (I love the lyrics to this) Okkervil River Song For Real It Was My Season Another Radio Song
Team Avatar
I looooooove the presidents dead! also, another radio song is way way better than in a radio song.

Parker
Favorite band. My favorite of their albums. Pre-ordered and plan to go to the show. Good news all around. Amazon lists this as $37.98. I've seen single LP's try to charge that much. Edit: Here's the cover for the...covers album. Looks incredible.
radiatorhums
I think I just have the Appendix (found it really cheap used). I'm going to consider ordering this though. Nice to have everything.
Moglog
I already have the (no longer) "Definitive Edition," but DON'T CARE. One of my all time favorite albums, so I'll buy it again. So pumped for the Boston show too. Seeing "A Stone" live is an amazing experience.
