sjb2k1
i am hopeful that the cano vs pedroia debate will not come up anymore now that they are not in the same division, therefore playing each other less frequently.

Maybe that is an East Coast thing. Never heard the debate in the Midwest.

sjb2k1
every single red sox/yankees game it's brought up. maybe i'm just looking to hear it. cano glides to the ball and relies on arm strength, pedroia does that hop, etc
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ive havent watched a single BOs/NYY game in probably a couple years so thats why

chamb117
i don't think the mariners will be that bad, especially if they sign beltran. they've got work to do but i like seager, miller/franklin, cano, montero in the infield, assuming montero can eventually live up to his hype. outfield would be ackley, beltran, uhhh... gutierrez? is he a free agent? so they're not great but i think that pitching staff could turn into something fierce, and they could get a great return for miller or franklin considering one of them has to go at this point. kershaw > cano. even though kershaw gets a ton of love i still think he is underrated. what he does on the mound at his age is incredible. his curveball gives me a boner. i hadn't even seen the fact that mujica signed with the red sox, i was wondering why we were talking about him... i'm guessing he goes straight to the 8th inning spot? or is koji uehara a free agent? i guess they have tazawa and hanrahan too, but i'm thinking hanrahan temporarily blew it with all his injuries. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Kershaw is far from underrated, he hasnt hit hit free agency yet. He Will top 300 million

thebiglebowski
Jesus Montero is officially a bust at this point. He murdered baseballs in A and AA but he hasn't really blown anyone away since 2009. Not that the M's should right him off completely. They just shouldn't plan on getting anything from him. If he figures it out it will just be a bonus.

KennyFuckingPowers
All this talk of superstars and not one mention of Andrew McCutchen? Or Joey Bats? Also Carlos Beltran is dead to me. Fuck him. However Im all about this Grandyman signing. I just pray we get a clean up hitter now. THE GRANDYMAN CAN! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
GradedOnACurve
Mets sign Granderson, so the Yankees sign Beltran. Same day. KennyFuckingPowers and chamb117
KennyFuckingPowers
That's exactly how I felt. Im meeting Mariano tomorrow. Even though I absolutely despise the Yankees, I can respect the guy for being as clutch as he was. Plus a signed baseball can fetch me a pretty penny during this holiday season when I'll need it most.

crime
i will say though, this got me tingling in all the right places: That's stupid. The Yankees are literally just throwing money down the drain. They still have no pitching.
sjb2k1
CC, Nova, Kuroda, D Phelps, Pineda but it could be worse i was hoping for the drew/infante signings but i guess gardner will be our trade chip for pitching
