Guest
Pujols did most of that as well and look at his contract in another uniform. huge difference.
travis
I'd say slight difference, even if he resigned the same contact with the Cards I highly doubt he'd come anywhere near being worth what he's getting paid.

3arl
And Chris Carter murders another baseball. If the Astros get the batting title and the HR crown, I will equally happy and confused.
lemongoat
Garrett Richards just fucked his leg up bad. Stretchered off the field.
Sugar Shane
$175,996,256 for a team that's going to maybe win 70 games. And our senile president says our GM's job is not in jeopardy... God I hate the Phillies' front office.

whoshotthefrog
The Phils need to get rid of Amaro in the worst way. As much as everyone wants that to happen I just don't think Montgomery and the rest of the ownership group will fire him. However, they do need to clean house as far as the scouting department goes. Family Friendly Rap God
Latest rumors have the Yanks in the running for Lester. C'mon Cashman no more expensive pitchers!!
travis
So bummed out about Richards, next to Trout he's been the best player on the Angels this year. Huge loss. It sucks that it happens right as the Angels finally catch the A's too!

Family Friendly Rap God
Your big free agent pick-up next year is going to be A-Rod. Sadly we could use him right now. Diminished batspeed and all
KennyFuckingPowers
Man what happened to Brian Wilson? That surgery really fucked him. He's just a completely different player now.

lemongoat
He was always overrated and declining anyways. And yeah, then the second TJ

lemongoat
So in the 6th inning tonight, 2 outs, bases loaded, the Angels encouraged their fans to flash cell phones and flash lights while the A's player batted. I guess it's something they do, since some fans had flash lights. I can't believe MLB allows that.

I was listening to the game on the radio when this happened and the announcers made it seem like it happens around 9pm every game or something. I thought it was pretty strange that they allow it but wont allow certain pitchers to have uncovered tattoos because it interferes with picking up the ball. lemongoat
While I'm complaining about last nights game, the obstruction call is one of the worst calls I've ever seen.

I've been to a lot of Angels game (going tonight too) and I've literally never heard of this happening, ever. That interference call didnt affect the outcome of the game at all so whatever. Bad call but it didnt really change anything.

If Aybar is called out like he obviously was, do you think Oakland uses 3 pitchers in the inning? Including their best reliever, Abad, for 1 out? In baseball, a borderline pitch being called one way rather than the other can affect the rest of the game, let alone a base runner.
KennyFuckingPowers
Hitting up Chase field tonight. Id be more stoked if Goldschmidt or Tulo was playing, but its $8 and its another stadium to add to my list
